I used to believe this, over the years my mindset has changed about this topic. I am great, I do great things. Some people don't know me in my personal world. I still share my dreams and ambitions to them fully knowing that they may not think it's possible. I share because I know I will accomplish the things I set out to do, I just want to share with them what is possible. What's the point of being great if you aren't willing to help others.

This litterally is the secret to success. Sheer will power. When i used to have 1,000 followers id listen to this and not understand it but I understand it now. This is it, will power. Bend the universe to your WILL

Title the first column 'goals', the second 'obstacles', the third 'plan of action'...That is how to succeed in life..identify your goals, the obstacles in the way of your goals and your plan to overcome the obstacle...Break your plan into as many steps as you can. Take one step at a time. You don't climb a mountain by putting on your boots and starting walking. You carefully plan each step. Break it down into small steps. Climbing a big mountain in one go is a task so daunting you won't even begin.

A student at the school I'm currently working at in North East Philly chose to interview me for her class assignment, and one of the questions that she asked me was, "who is my hero or role model and why?". The question really caught me off guard, and then I thought back to my graduate school orientation where one of my professors showed this video. It was a great tactic for the class to see how YOU GET WHAT YOUR WILLING TO PUT IN. So I answered her by saying, "Will Smith," and then I showed her the video. I loved that his words and his message were just as powerful today as they were the first time I watched this video.

What happened?

This is why I want to be a career counselor and a motivational speaker. We all need people to look up to and and inspire us. If only, we could be so confident on our own, but sometimes our upbringing and challenges get in the way. I try hard to keep a few of his words in mind. "Where I excel is ridicules". I also keep in mind "I have no limits". That one is by Jim Carrey.

I have this video stuffed in my INSPIRATION file. Every time I start to waver from my need for perfection, I come back to this video and get pumped every time. Thank you Will for your positive direction

@@cindia1977 exactly. I know this comparison is not a right comparison but in the military, we always had a plan "B". Why??? Cause when that first bullet flew over your head, buddy was WIA (wounded in action) or KIA (killed in action) plan A went out the window. Mission was still the same, but the plan changed.

Will Smith reminds me so much of my dad by his personality, I haven’t seen my dad in a long time and every time I see Will Smith in a movie I somehow fell extra happy and motivated like I couldn’t explain 😄

My number #1 hero. 1000% passion in getting what he wants and in what he does! We need more of you Will !!

I know there is a "law", what I meant is that what makes that law something real is hard work and persistance, focusing on your goals, and feeling them inside of you, knowing that you're going to achieve them. But that burning feeling is something it can take time in order to be the right one, and not everyone feels that, or is willing to have the patience to feel it. I've seen people who think this "law" is like some kind of magic, or something that comes true just by knowing about it, and they fail because they don't really understand it. I've also known people who don't know about any law, or trick, but they do the same, because they have goals, work for them, keep going when things get rough. Maybe if they knew about these "secrets" they would achieve them quicker, but still, they do.
