I guess a 49 second run time and a comical ending tune isn't enough to get across to people that this was a joke. In seriousness, just about any car can get around town with proper tires and a sensible driver. Y'all stay safe out there.

Problems with living in Canada and owning a Z. Can only hope for good weather in the next 3 weeks to finally take it out of storage!

I live in Chicago. The first year I had my 2016 Nismo, I either spun like crazy while doing 5 mph or lost all traction while doing simple turns. The problem is that summer speed tires turn into bowling balls at freezing temps. I now run Michelin Pilot A/3 (all season tires) and have no issues in the summer or winter.

On a completely different issue, where you ever able to do anything about the fluttering noise at low RMPs? I am doing my install next month (the 15th) and any suggestions would be welcomed.

@@bornchrome I only drove only completely cleared streets. That was even before I lowered the suspension. On clear roads, I still had to deal with ice freezing my summer tires. In the winter, I mainly drive from Oak Park (I actually live in a suburb of Chicago) to downtown Chicago via 290 West. The interstate is usually good and warm from all of the traffic, but the surface streets were rough on the Z.

@Brian Jackson do u still have the z? I'm in a chicago suburb as well and fell in love with the car but unsure of how it will do in winter here. Whats been your overall experience with winter tires and driving it?

@@c0lin813 I live in Oak Park and still have the Z. It's currently down (I blew my engine) awaiting a built engine that was supposed to ready last week. I am a huge fan of the Michelin a/s 3+. With and without boost, the car did well with these tires. There is an update - the Michelin a/s 4, which comes as standard issue for the new Corvettes. If you are running summer tires, it's gonna be rough once this excellent weather goes way to negative 5 temps.

No problems here in Iowa. We have quite a bit of snow and I drive around on it just fine. Don't even have winter tires.

The honest answer is, hell no. Ive put snow tires on for Z customers and I think they're insane to even attempt it.

So first question is tires.... If you don't have snow tires or all-season tires. Don't even bother going out. I put all-season on my Z and have driven two winters with it in Iowa.
