You can’t tell how fast that car actually is, but I’ve never seen grown men who drive fast cars for a living brace themselves for an acceleration surge, or get pinned in a seat like that before. Must be mind blowing!

Why did Brooke's not seem excited with this video. He seemed bummed for some reason. That's the look when money on the line.... hope your happy a you are!! You a very lucky man to own these beautiful cars. Saying I'm not rich... you had a car that did 2.6 sec to 60mph in your own car. That's not poor status driving a twin turbo Lamborghini. Must be nice being rich. I build houses for a living. Alot of stress doing what I do. I definitely don't get paid enough to own cars like these!! I'm a general contractor and scratch my head to as why nobody working trying to have it easy!! Im actually sick of social media!!! I say get a real job and stop paying them so much. A house is way way more enjoyable then something shot with a video camera!! We got our priorities backwards!! Hopefully this shiiii stops. Try building a house?! And get paid not as much as I should. I makexa low 6 figure amount. Trying to do real estate and do rentals. Everything's expensive. I want passive income.... I just want to enjoy my life. I'll never own a Nivera 😢

Being electric definitely helps, because with inverter driven electric motors torque can be controlled directly regardless of speed. I'm sure it's still not trivial, but I know it would have been harder on a traditional car.

@@GuyFromJupiter The biggest problem with fine tuning electric motors is electromagnetic flux. It also wants to make the motor jerky and mushy (unresponsive) because electricity can instantly rush through the rotors and energize them, but can't get out immediately because it's stored as electromagnetic flux. Also, starting such a motor without jerking is difficult for the same reason, electricity rushes in (before it starts turning), primes it with electromagnetic flux and as soon as it makes a first move, there is already a ton of potential energy stored within. I know this because It is very difficult to work with strong motors that move telescope domes, and fine tuning them is a pain in the ass.

Fun to watch. I had my parents 4 door '72 Nova with the straight 6 cylinder 2 speed 110 hp with E78-14 bias tites with moon caps.. I drove it to Tenn. to attend college in 1978. With 36K miles on it, I drove it thru college and working at the local USA Today site in Nashville and the Tennessean newspaper, I finally purchased a 1971 Nova also green, black vinyl top, 350 V8 with 245 hp, 350 powerglide floor shift all Black interior with buckets as the Chevelle had, for $2,000, I injoyed the power for a while. I was not. Able to add to it or rebuild it. I sold it in 1997. I will always dream of a fresh early Nova with too much power. Now at 64, it's just fun to watch what folks have done with my dream car!!!

Rather than multiple shots (with the rear-facing camera) of the guys getting pinned to their seats, please use the front-facing camera so that we can see how quickly the Rimac will approach and overtake other cars. It is hard to gauge this car's acceleration when all we can see is the reaction of the driver and passenger. (amusing at first, but...)

If this is the beginning, imagine where we are going to be in 15-20 years. Cars like this can't get much faster because people literally won't be able to handle them without passing out from decreased blood flow. In 20 years we will be able to buy a car like this from Toyota for like $75,000. I know that the original Tesla roadster came out like 10 years ago or whatever but its crazy to me that we are basically just now at the very beginning of seeing what an actual electric performance car can do.

There's ICE cars already faster than this tho? WRC Rally cars have had sub 1.9s 0-60 acceleration times for sometime. Nobody even comes close to passing out. We literally can go supersonic on land and the body can sustain the Gs fine. The Thrust SSC goes 763 mph. Don't set yourself up for disappointment this ain't exactly groundbreaking stuff

True. I had that same issue on my RD350 2 stroke bike. It was a bloody wheelie machine after all the work (Typical crazy RD build. head work, port work, pipe work, tweaks and twiddles, clutch work so it wouldn't slip anymore, etc) and even though it wouldn't really slip the back, it chewed it up insanely fast. Like, fast enough I started buying that tire they made at the time that had the hard compound in the middle because I got tired of changing tires. :) I can't imagine how fast stuff like these cars would go through tires if you're a tad happy with the fun time pedal.
