Wii SPii Portable: Wii in a GameBoy Advance SP
Hi all,
Here is the finished product, the Wii SPii. I provide a bit of commentary and prove that the Wii Portable is working as it should be! I'm really happy with the end result although the assembly could have gone smoother if I were more experienced. It is a real Nintendo Wii, so there is ZERO emulation involved in running GameCube or Wii games, which means zero frame skip and zero lag. All games that run on the Wii run on this handheld.
I learned a lot in this project and have so many people to thank. Without each of you this project wouldn't have been possible. You can expect a more professional video someday in the near future, where I go further in depth into the manufacturing process and electronics.

Seeing a Wii game running natively on a handheld device is something that I would have gone crazy for as a kid. Absolutely insane build!

The funny thing is, that it would have been possible when you were a kid too. If only people figured out wii trimming sooner.

I don't know much about building handhelds but the batteries as a grip/stand is genius

It’s so small! Mad props to you, this turned out great! It’s crazy seeing portables of all types advance so much throughout the years as people get better at figuring out how to make everything smaller. Awesome that people also make custom PCBs, as well as the wonders of 3D printing and CNC machining. I think about the portablizing scene every now and again and debate getting back into it. Lookin forward to more stuff from you :D

because Nintendo has to go into the furture then grab up some tech and then come back to own time to present it.. we in a age where all of us is smarter then the big big companies and it shows. so nintendo cant just go into the furture to get new stuff.. because they are all dumbed down in the future all the tech companies so now its like it is now super huge home brew communities lolol. idk just spit ballin.

Wow dude that’s pretty awesome, it always amazes me how small we can take the Wii. I got an idea if you are interested, you could try putting one in a ds or one of the ds lites/dsi’s. That would be interesting
