Why You Need an Internship During College
If you are contemplating an internship or a certain career, then this is the video for you. The value of an internship in informing your field of study, future career, and your job search experience cannot be understated. I'm sharing why I think it's important for every undergraduate student to have at least one internship before they finish their degree.

I’m a transfer as well, I’m Almost done with my first year at my university and got rejected from one internship. I’m kinda running out of time, but what do you recommend for someone who has been unable to since covid did ruin a lot of opportunities?

Hi Nadia! I'm so sorry for the delayed response - somehow I just saw this question. Tbh, this year kinda seems like a bust for internships. Personally, I would wait until you can go back to in person. I think opportunities will increase and the experience would be a lot more worthwhile after Covid rather than online.
Hi Hailey, I’m a linguistics major currently searching for internships. I’m feeling kind of lost because there seems to be very limited options for linguistics students. Can I ask you what kinds of fields/job titles you mostly looked at when you were searching for internships? 👀

To be honest, I can't really remember, but if you are having trouble you might want to reach out to your department counselor for openings. Oftentimes employers will recruit through the university and the ling dept counselor should have an idea of what is currently available. They might even be able to put you directly in contact with the hiring manager. They can also aid with your search.
