right! "she's your mother" "he's family".... boy, do they use that one!!!!! and it is fascinating how the enablers immediately step in to defend, justify and keep the cycle going without any of the abusers being held accountable....
They'll use your forgiveness as a get out of jail free card, which makes forgiveness an act of futility. If you ever felt like you were surrounded by enemies, it's not your imagination. The circus is run by them and their idiotic sycophants. Expect no mercy and give none in return, there is only self reliance and nothing else.

Great video, this is a topic that needs to be brought to the public landscape. Victims are pressured and threatened to forgive abusers even if they don't feel comfortable with it. They invoke guilt in victims by saying things like "You're holding grudges, you're not perfect, and everyone makes mistakes, don't judge, only God can judge, you're bitter and it's going to consume you" etc. But forgiveness is not just letting go according to how most religions define it, it means reconciliation. It's nice to know that I'm not alone in believing that forgiveness is unnecessary, doesn't make victims feel better, nor justified in healing. Forgiveness is a trap to keep victims in abusive situations and prevent them from seeking justice to hold their abusers accountable. Also, they tell victims that they should be the bigger person, but there aren't any expectations for their abusers. Why the vocabulary word "complain" is used as a powerful weapon against victims when they're vocal about the wrongdoings of their abusers? Here's why: the purpose is to diminish victims' claims and credibility, making them appear as troublemakers, unbelievable, and not taken seriously. To further complicate things, it is used to conceal the actions of abusers, protect them, and silence victims. No, victims aren't complaining; they are revealing the abuse they experienced at the hands of their abusers and desperately want justice, and someone to listen to them. But enablers of abusers and abusers are against it and by using vocabulary as a strategy, they can undermine the victim's story. The vocabulary word complain is condescending to victims with the undertone of being a whiner. This adds another layer of victimization that most are unaware of.
