Russo is 100% right. The only reason WWE is quote un quote making the most money it's ever made is because of all these shows now overseas and the move to stadium ppvs while going public and merging with the ufc. I'll always be a lifelong fan, but there isn't a soul on the current roster outside Randy when he returns that can touch any of those ruthless aggression/attitude era guys. It's nowhere near as entertaining as it once was. There's never going to be another Austin, or Taker, Rock, HBK, Cena ever walking through that curtain again. I had friends who never even watched WWF/WWE growing up and they STILL knew who Stone Cold Steve Austin was. Nobody outside of fans know who LA Knight is. WWE even tried The Wrestlemania goes Hollywood angle this year and it was so cringe to see them try to recreate WM21 all over again, because they don't have the star power. Like I said I'll always be a fan, but NOBODY cares about the wrestling, it's always been about the characters and the entertainment.

Wrestling isn't made of only matches, it always revolved around drama, heck, people agreed with that when the imperative was to say how Wyatt was a great wrestler.

For once bro got it half right.i started watching wrestling in the attitude era in 99 and it was the storylines that kept me coming back every week. TK has zero compelling storylines with over the top characters doing infinite flip flops. Yeah there's banger matches over there in aew but tony really needs to build up his people on why they are feuding. Basically most aew shows are a velocity or Sunday night heat

Thing is, I agree with most of what he said. But that? Yeah that was one that had me scratching my head. I'm not a fan of modern wrestling simply because there's nothing that's organic anymore, outside of things like The Bloodline. WWE and AEW both need to understand you need to let the story marinate and breathe for longer than 2 months. It's so frustrating to watch, and not to mention the amount of rematches that happen...Like, I just seen this match on a PLE, why is it on RAW for free the next night? And AEW...Idk. There's so many times I'm seeing a spot happen that just over complicates the actual match itself. For example, if a guy wants to do a dive, the guys on the outside are just standing there, watching the performer get ready before he actually jumps off. Nothing about either promotion entices me enough to WANT to keep the channel on. I try from time to time but it never works.

it's 100% true. you can't tell someone who doesn't like fake fighting "hey man this fake fight I saw last night, unbelievable". but you can say "hey they had this bad ass bald dude called Stone Cold and he faced off with Mike Tyson".
