    It was a business decision. Vince made a lot of money off that name. Everyone knows that name is ubiquitous with the WWF/E. Vince essentially gets free marketing from it.

    Vince is a true genius. Like him or hate him (and I am not a fan of American Hollywood Wrestling), he can see what the chess board will look like in not just six moves ahead but six years ahead of him. Maybe it wasn't obvious to everyone but I remember being five years old watching The Mummy Returns and thinking even then, The Rock was going to be a superstar. Vince has the ability to understand talent as much as Howard does.

    I don’t see it happening. He has too many business ventures he’d have to divest from. Plus his routine of having at least 2 hours of downtime every morning to center himself wouldn’t work when he can be called to the Situation Room at a moment’s notice to handle a crisis on the other side of the world. But it would be interesting to see.

    You know how much the Rock did for Vince’s business? This isn’t some regular joe asking for something he’s not entitled to. Vince loves the Rock. He probably was all over the idea. Vince has a reputation for not giving a shit about his guys. But by all accounts it’s the opposite. If you actually bring something to the table, he’ll be very good to you.
