Sunshine Dayz I agree that this is often the case, yet many of them don't care at all, especially if they happen to be extremely good-looking and charismatic as well! The last one I was with managed to get someone else not long after he left my place nearly six years ago, which I expected. In fact, he's probably been with a lot of women since then, unless he found another person to latch onto, so to speak. 🙁

Then as soon as they have you they don't want you anymore and will push you out of their space they are attachment averse they feel a lot of stress when someone is somewhere else but as soon as you are in their presence they cannot stand letting someone be themselves I would tell my ex you just can't let me be me and you should never have any relationships with any women he actually agreed with me Once in a while they do tell the truth.

When you have truly been traumatized by a narcissist you only have enough energy to focus on yourself and children if you have them. The thought of dating someone else makes you want to vomit.

A sense of control. I am repeating myself a lot, but it's all about power. All of the narcissist's actions both during the relationship and post-break-up are to control any person that comes up on their narc radar. To a narcissist, the relationship never ends. Our success without them is like torture to their fragile ego. They tend to have what I call the "narc harem", which is a rotation of supply sources in their lives that they can swap, hover and discard as they please. Us moving on = is the ultimate betrayal. We didn't get permission from the royal narcness to be happy elsewhere.

Narcissist have double standards. They get to do whatever they want and you must obey their plans for you. Divorce will not make them stop, will not make them behave like honest adults either.

It does hurts a lot but after leaving this type of people you begin to do well in other areas and everything seems so easy to accomplish. Now im involving myslef with the hobbies I quit doing because I was so busy trying to solve her problems. Now im getting my house in good shape, im debt free, im about to buy me a bike and drive whereever I want, my investments are in place, etc etc

My ex cheated and left- he knew i would never forgive that. Four years passed. He came back and knocked on my door. I was already with another man that actually loves me. I was short with my ex and closed the door on him. I could tell as left, he was expecting me to want to talk, to want his interest, to be curious. I believe he thought no one would want me, because he didn’t. He thought, after 4 years, that i would be so lonely that i would jump at the chance. Nope.

My mother did this. She spread horrible rumors about me, encouraged my bosses to harass me, told neighbors we grew up with lies and convinced them to alienate me. And at the same time was stalking and harassing me so much that I had to go to the police. I was glad when she died. No joke. Awful human being.

🙄 the majority of us are wired for partnership of some kind. We can have a busy and satisfying life, but life is infinitely better with a reciprocal partner to share the highs and lows with.

the healing process is the hardest part of this. but when and if you do, youll be the very best version of yourself, but a savage to them. Its necessary for them to realize they cant step on you.

Today has been a bit rough. My ex narc got married to the new supply today. He left me 14 months ago to go to her. My life was left in shambles. Still trying to put back the pieces and rebuild. Just messing with my head I guess. He just got to move on like nothing happened while I became homeless and was traumatized. I know he is not happy, he never will be. It is just very hard watching a lot of my “old friends” I hung out with and was close to congratulating them while ignoring the fact he destroyed my life. Like I said, just been a rough few days, and today I have felt really irritable.

Right now you might not see it, but you’re a lucky person if he left. Get professional help because he might come back if he knows you’re vulnerable and don’t understand what he did to you. Narcissist don’t care if they hurt you because you’re a “thing” to them. Do you have a beautiful memory of him stuck in you head, like a beautiful gesture? A type of glance when he was in a “ good mood”? Well, let me tell you that it was your reflection. All the good you saw on him, it’s YOU! I was stuck in a horrific relationship for 11 years, he would leave and come back whenever he pleased. One time he left for 2 years and when she dumped him, he came back home like nothing happened, and yes I took him back. I completely lost my dignity and self worth. The only think I can say is look for professional help, because it gets worse if you don’t understand the reason you was a target. If you don’t come back to this one, you can fall in “ love “ with another one the same or worse.

Take it one day at a time. Focus on you, love yourself, and get help. Keep going on your healing journey. It’s okay to feel sad sometimes, especially because YOU loved him. But keep reminding yourself that YOU ESCAPED HIM. That marriage is not going to be sunshines and rainbows. It’s eventually gonna be hell.. if anything, i feel sad for his new supply. She’s trapped unfortunately.

He broke up with me on my birthday via text six months ago and then out of nowhere he starts texting me a couple of weeks ago. He kept saying he just wanted to be friends, but he was constantly jealous, that I was dating other people, and always bringing it up and throwing it in my face. Finally, I told him yes, you broke up with me I date other people, and yet you want dibs on me, I told him he was controlling, I told him I didn’t have any feelings, and I told him if he reached out again, I get a protective order. You need to put people in their place that don’t respect your boundaries.❤❤

I can relate to the whole birthday break up from the toxic narc. It is so cruel how they do that to us. Good for you for keeping up your boundaries and not taking him back. Exnarc was trying to get me back for a third time, but I'm now way too strong and on to him to ever allow him back in. They don't like it when we put up our boundaries and have strength.

My brother came by, and we started talking about narcs. I told him that in my recovery groups I'm getting the silent treatment from some guys and several girls. A month or so ago I told the second narc chick I have no more time for her. The first narc chick has been giving me the silent treatment for a year, they are friends. This treatment is growing, and I have no idea what rumor or other bullshit is going on, I've asked with no answers from anyone, sort of like Grey Rock. Mike said, "Why do you put up with it?" I told him I'll keep going to the meetings just to irritate the a wholes.

He decided after two decades that I could move on. So far he’s been fine with it. He told me Idc if you move on (I could feel that in that moment he really meant it. He wasn’t angry at all) and there’s WAY more to the story and the healing journey but it was closure. It hurt me but I decided at that moment that I would. 6 months later he hasn’t hoovered directly and I haven’t returned. Feeling better than I have in such a long time. I feel he’s afraid of an injury if he tried again and I’m glad of that because he definitely has one comin if he tries!! He’s been in a couple “relationships” since and I’ve prayed for those women and the future ones.

The guy I'm with has already discarded me, but is letting me stay until spring as a room mate, we've been just room mate since the beginning of 2020. He keeps telling me I can't live on my own on $800 mo. And that I will get a boyfriend within a few days to weeks of leaving, I finally said it doesn't matter if I do or don't it's none of his business, then he started smiling and walked away, I think I played into his hand but I'm so done with being put down and told I can't do anything or he blames me for everything. Just this morning he lost his tv remote for his cable/TV and blamed me, it was in his chair, he still said it was my fault that I hid it from him. Narcs are devils for sure. 5 months to go till I'm free. He wants me gone, but says I have to give him my address and let him know where I'm at. I let him think I will so he can't sabotage my plans.

Some narcissists won't be friends afterwards, but in my experience much more often they want to be friends, so they can still tap into people and get attention and supply without the responsibilities of a relationship. It's less work for them to be friends and preferable, of course they are horrifying friends just as they are partners. Not a friend at all.

I'm very fortunate in that way because I imagine that the last highly narcissistic man I got caught up with couldn't care less about what I'm doing, or who I'm with, nowadays! It's been nearly six years since I told him that he had to leave my home and heard after he left that he was still finding it easy to get women at AA and NA meetings, churches, or anywhere else, for that matter, as there will always be someone who can be easily manipulated, especially when in a vulnerable state. ❤

You have a way of keeping the unthinkable thinkable. My fairly short (HA!) but deep and frightening apparent breakdown (and it was a doozy) was I believe a direct result of numerous cumulative factors: "Real Life" plus watching too much negative information for too long in isolation. So far, I have limited ytube use, spend more good time with my companion animals, journal, and work with the two pages of what I like and how things are. Sometime early next week I believe I will be balanced enough to, with control, take the next step. Thank you for delving so deeply into such a broad-based painful subject with so much negativity on all sides while at the same time retaining balance, peace and joy in your life.

For instance her son was a bedwetter for years he peed in bed up to the age of 11 and one time I made a comment stating that he was a little too old to still be doing that and she went off on me so violently it woke the kids up in the middle of the night. She was screaming at the top of her lungs that I was judging her as a bad mother a neglectful parent and that her son couldn't be as perfect as my three kids who had stopped wetting the bed at the age of two. All of our kids were around the same age my oldest at that time being 13 and my youngest at that time being nine. And she went on and on and on in the middle of the night and raged out to the point where it became physical and I had to restrain her off of me. She kept me up all night threatening to take her child and leave at 3:00 am (and this was before Uber). I spent hours calming her down and got no sleep that night and went to work sleep deprived that morning.

Narc victims do feel special for having in love with them but unfortunately they are just being fooled all their life in the name of love or true relationship in smarter ways🙏

Mines still stalking and harassing after leaving him 3 years ago. He has a ns and child. He even sent a message on a dating app. She has absolutely no idea he’s been trying to contact me by various means all the way through their relationship. I feel for her because he did it to me. I wish I could tell her but she won’t believe me. I have receipts though.

Don’t mine did recently and I’m so grateful I prayed for a sign that I couldn’t ignore the triangulated ex since 2020 even after i beat her up which she initiated literary knocked on my front door n showed proof of contact although they both messy I needed that The narc said oh you using that as an excuse you been wanted to leave me yep 😂 oh you gonna let ha break us up yep I told her our so called relationship was quicksand

When i speak of exes, even my covert narcissist ex wife, i speak in a relaxed way, with warmth in my voice. This has been pointed out to me. Another person I met slowly showed me how ALL her exes were terrible people who treated her badly. When I didn't want to be her exclusive boyfriend she screamed hideous words and hung up on me, then called back, then did the same. It took a month for me to distance myself. Turns out she's going around telling people how I lied and abused her. People are amazing.

Was just thinking about this. Then bam, this popped up.

I have had this experience before and it was one of the most horrible feelings I have ever had in my life. I would never ever wish someone go through what I did in a relationship

Many times the narcissistic is so delusional

Highlight the imperfections of your narcissist by criticizing them the way they do you, make an off color joke about their haircut or their clothes etc., pay close attention to their response. If they have the ability to maintain composure of your comments they will be completely silent but most of them will react with rage. Penetrate their omnipotent false self and watch their eyes turn black as they rage to get you off topic. They MUST maintain the façade of the false self at all cost!! THERE IS A REASON YOU BECAME A VICTIM TO THEIR LIES, DECEPTION AND MANIPULATION even though you ignored the red flags. When you are around a narcissist your biological survival instincts are on high alert but most people ignore them. When you are around a narcissist you can feel their vibe that there is something wrong. If you want to know why you attracted a narcissist in your life you must first look within. Once you find your own weaknesses you will understand what the narcissist already knew about you. Most "people pleasers" are magnets to these dark/empty/angry souls that walk amongst us. I'm not at all religious but Matthew 10:16 describes what you need to know of how to be in the world(dove) but also how to be prepared for the narcissist(snake).

Some people move on, some people are stuck with obligations. It's not all cut and dried narc evil intentions; sometimes its just people thinking on what happened to their lives.

I started to move on from my wife when I found Instagram. My posts were popular and I was making friends and connections very fast. For the first time in years I was beginning to feel happy again and nearly felt free from her dramatic bullshit that had been imposing upon my creativity and self worth and had deprived me of purpose. Things were coming together for me and I could tell that a time of happiness and prosperity was on the horizon for me. As we all know life is ebb and flow, feast and famine. I had been starving for attention for so long and I was finally getting it along with the validation I needed to build myself up further. She spotted this and recognized it for the threat it was and she immediately injected herself into it. She ruined it for me. Made me not even want to try anymore. This is when I finally realized she'd never been on my side about anything. She tore me down constantly, compared me to others she wanted me to be like and tried to guide and control my life to take the path that she wanted for me. She didn't ever care what I wanted for myself. She's done the same to all 3 of our kids and they are just now beginning to see how she has sabotaged and handicapped their lives by doing so. Unfortunately for them their lives are just beginning and she has done so much damage to them I don't know if they will ever be able to get past it. They will waste so much precious time in this life trying to figure out why they are so messed up inside that they will never be able to find success or true happiness. So sad. But it's so true. More and more people are becoming victims of this type of manipulation that who knows... maybe my kids will get lucky and find solace with someone who has suffered similarly. It's about all I can hope for them at this point. She concisely clipped their wings to their detriment and she doesn't seem to mind at all. They all hate her for it and she is either oblivious and obtuse or just downright indignant.

After I was discarded my ex had a new girlfriend after 3 days and never stopped seeing me and this continued for 6 months and 3days ago I had literally had enough of hearing him bomb me all day I texted his girlfriend and told her that he has been cheating on her since they met. Well he now has blocked me and unfriended me on social media. I think I may have done the one thing they wouldn't be able to deal with so he won't come back. Do you think he will try and contact me? Exactly, they think we can not have a relationship because they can not. The narc just forgets that we are not like them. And yes they are grandios and think they matter. Actually they have to feel that they matter, but not because of loveable reasons. They want to make You miserable... they are 🤪. Mine is feeling right now, that he doesn't matter!🥳😇 The narc is manifestig his grandiosity by nature and You being the doormat.

It's my choice. I realize I need to stay single. Relationships are for children. I'm happy by myself. They move on like you meant nothing. They will dumpster dive but they won't replace you .
