Why the DEXA Bone Density Test Doesn't Work

Ойын-сауық

In this video, Dr. Brown explains why the conventional bone density test, known as the DXA Bone Density Test (or DEXA Bone Density Test) fails to accurately depict bone health and is an unreliable predictor of bone fracture risk and osteoporosis. Dr. Brown describes the DEXA Scan Bone Density Test compared to the NTx Bone Density Test, which tests N-Telopeptide activity to measure bone resorption rate. Dr. Brown explains the many benefits of the NTx Bone Scan, including its value as a reliable tool to test for osteoporosis, as it can identify excessive bone loss in the early stages, making osteoporosis treatment more effective. The NTx Bone Test is inexpensive and non-invasive, making it easier to perform more frequently than the DEXA bone density test, providing increased insight into the true state of bone health and increasing chances of an accurate osteoporosis or osteopenia diagnosis. The NTx Test also correctly assesses the effectiveness of osteoporosis treatment and therapies, which may include a specific osteoporosis diet, and natural treatment for osteoporosis to prevent bone fracture. Finally, Dr. Brown offers proven remedies for healing and building bone, reducing osteoporosis fracture risk, and improving your overall health.

3 years from your posted video on the Dexa test I watch this. SO GLAD I came across this video. I am female age 70 small frame small bones and thin. Dr. called the other day She says: "Results are back you have a severe case of Osteoporosis when do you want to come in and start treatment" I answer: Scheduled for follow up appointment in 2 months. We well talk about it then" So now here i am researching the Dexa scan. Thanks for all the info in this video. I'm not quick to take scripts just because the Dr. says so. I research first. i want to get to the root, the bottom line of the issue. My answer is to build the muscles holding me up so I don't fall. So that is what i am working on. Makes since to me.

I am so glad I found this video! My internal med dr. Prescribed meds for me immediately after going over my results. I asked about how they would effect my kidneys (CKD stage 3). He looked it up and said “it should be okay. We will do labs in 3 months.” After getting home with this prescription and reading the entire side effects. . . NOPE. I will not be taking them. Not worth it to me.

Spent three weeks in the hospital in critical condition and being dialyzed every day. She had to go to dialysis twice a week on discharge for three months. Finally her kidney function returned but damaged by the drug. You made a very wise decision not to take that Big Pharma junk that might have thrown you into kidney failure too!

WHO used to have a calculator online that allowed you to put in personal variables to predict your risk of fracture. You could input age, DEXA score, ethnicity, nationality, height, etc. I had a fairly poor DEXA score (suggesting osteopenia) so I began inputting difference DEXA scores without changing other variables. No combination of DEXA score and my other variables changed my risk of fraction BY EVEN ONE PERCENT. High DEXA, low DEXA, moderate DEXA. No change. THE ONLY variable that affected that risk score was when I changed my ethnicity to African descent. That reduced my fracture risk substantially. I lost all interest in DEXA scores from that time forward.

I’m 64 years old, my Dr called me in to tell me the results of my DEXA scan. He walked in and said I quote “your bones suck “. Your T-score is-2.6 you need to take Evenity 2 shots per month or Tymlos pen injections every day for 2 years. Both are extremely expensive and my insurance won’t cover it. After getting home and reading the side effects of these, I said hell no! The cons are worse than the pros. I’m at a loss as what to do at this point. I’m getting rid of my Dr of 25 years, who loves to prescribe meds. I’d love to have a more holistic approach to this part of my life. I’m also ketovore and he doesn’t know because I know he wouldn’t approve of my decision. I can’t find a lab in my area to get tests done on the condition of my bones.

My sister reversed her osteoporosis w/supplements...good supplements. Dr. Doug Lucas recommends Agaecal which has great results. Wearing weighted vests while walking, jumps, heel drops, vibration platforms, wrist weights, ankle weights & Algaecal has Pilates exercises that help. Doctors only know meds. It's easy for them...here, take this pill or that injection. They should all be better trained in natural methods & exercise. They'll also tell you to take 1200 mg. of calcium w/out a clue that you can't just take calcium w/out Vit. D3, Vit. K2MK7, magnesium or other trace minerals, or the calcium won't go to your bones, but your arteries & cause calcification & heart attack or stroke.

Told him it makes no sense for a woman in her 70s to have the bones of a 20 year old when my dentist, optometrist, and even this same PCP remind me that I'm not 40, 50, or 60 anymore when I question why something is happening with my body. I told him a more accurate DEXA test would measure bones for an initial test and then do a follow up DEXA when a patient actually breaks a bone. That might be helpful but big pharma would never agree to that cause there go their profits.

So my very valid question still stands is she a medical doctor with a license to practice, or is she just another person selling her products? WHO vets her? Who says or licenses her? Is her opinions valid and in concurrence with current medical practice from schooled medical doctors,...AND WHY DOES SHE NOT ANSWER? And as far as your mistaken opinion about what a DEXA, Mineral Density scan is and isn't, I assure you,... it is more comprehensive than just a measurement of "size and width." apparently perhaps you should do some research before you offer up an ill-informed opinion.
