Nice perspective on this new raid. I'll share that with my alliance. However, if those teams we build are only good in raids, again, it will be kind of a waste.

Who cares, spenders funnel this game and at least 60% of them buy minimum 1 character offers. So it doesn't matter. Plus hardcore/Non-casual players might get enough shards & resources to keep the ball rolling. So it should be fine. F2P's/casual players may suffer. So what we don't care.(That's Scopely way & this is their new cash grab.)

I agree that it would be a waste. My limited understanding at the moment is that all new teams will kind of go through this cycle. Pure speculation on my part. But that's what I think the blog post was trying to say.

Good points. Unlocks have been easier and I believe they will have different difficulty levels so hopefully all can make something work.

I have a few arguments. First, it will be great if the tag is updated regularly; and that’s an if statement right there. Now, just like in Gamma Raid you took as an example; there’s no team appealing to build in there; but that’s not always the case, isn’t it? It was appealing at the time they were add, but then they were kept like that until they are not appealing to anyone. So, isn’t it a reasonable fear when they have a history of doing exactly that? Second, the new 4-6 system will works great just like you describe, ideally. But that’s the point right there. How many alliances are in that ideal state? The old 3-8 system might be less efficient, but it is flexible. You might view it as someone being ‘in the wrong lane’, but to ‘not ideal’ alliances, that might be ‘filling in’. This new system is strict, and demand that everyone doing their part without fail, as if it was a job, when it is a game. And the number of people who will devote to a game is, in general, fewer, compare to people who are casuals. This system might be attractive to devoted players , but it will strain the casual players; and if it put off the casuals, that will be harmful to the game in the long run. Judging from the situation that arena shards takes so long to be full in some area, the new player situation might not be so well already.

Your comments are very valid. These are indeed things that need to be explained more and hopefully, some of that will come soon. In the meantime, I urge you to make a post about this on the player voice if you haven't already. I understand the apprehension people have, Scopely past practice. Definitely rubs people the wrong way. But we do have an outlet now to talk about the stuff. Early and hopefully contribute to the Game mode being great. I definitely hear what you are saying and it's worth discussing. Great reply. I thought about it a lot, Overnight in fact.

I've spent approximately $700 on the game. And I still suck.😅 The difference I see for myself. Is that I'm able to participate in Doom raids. Sometimes. And I'm finally able to work on Rogue shards. Still don't have her yet. Sad. Yet true.

@@gideonxl660 I'm getting everything at a slow rate. Don't know why. I instantly got hive-mind and Xtreme x-men. Other than that it's just not giving me the shards for anybody I need. Rogue, Apocalypse, Green Goblin, Dormammu, Super Skrull and Peter B. I have 0 shards for them. Weird

No one was mad that they were getting rid of Greek raids or modernizing rewards, comparing the new raids to keeping old raids is disingenuous. Those are not the only two options in the world. Player agency in raids we had, it was called U7. Having to build new teams constantly for raids is the opposite of player agency. We don’t know all the details but so far it’s hard to see it as anything other than another spender bonus while continuing to punish ftp with the severely lacking in game economy.

@@wolvis766 why to remove the old raids? it takes 1 minute to complete them, they dont affect the leader boards, the ultimus orbs we get are not amazing but allow to get some shards for new characters.
