I mean the Creative Director stated a couple years ago they were planning to make the game have no skippable characters or teams. This is just the long game they set in motion. Just gonna get worse.

It says alpha flight and spider society are required for the "HARDEST DIFFICULTIES". You don't need them right away. If you are an early or mid game player you will just do the lower levels. If you are an end game player then you need crimson gear, and this new raid is a way to do that faster. I don't see a down side.

To be fair, Gamma starts traiting from Gamma 3. And gamma 3 is like 20k power enemies or less? So, realistically, unless this is changed dramatically I would expect something similar. We'll see though. I just hope this isn't designed to be as hard as the latest main raids and its an alternative.

This is a baffling choice it really feels like they use the good will they’ve done as currency to do shitty things like this. I build all characters up no matter what but I’m in a casual alliance because I’m casual spender player I have health issues and can’t commit to play in those ridiculous alliances. But now my account is going to depend on people that have 40 million less tcp than me to get into dd7

Well, I mean it's just going to be an ADDITIONAL way to get red gear, not that they're cutting anything out. But, yes I mean your progress may be slowed, the same could be said about Incursion raids. That being said, I hope the new raids are NOT the same requirements as incursion raids are (aka i don't want it to be 95+ G18+ for alpha flight).

@@Boilon you’re right I guess it’s a wait and see. Hopefully it’s like those showcase events and it’s 75+ gear 14 or something like that with 3 stars.

And it's not even mentioned but new-ish players have an additional problem of bringing up some important characters from the past (including reworked characters for raid teams - say, my Noir is still at lvl 1) in addition to everyone new being required (not even raids but also stuff like Kyln).

I think this MIGHT get addressed in the future, you may have heard or not about a "Token" system which is meant to fast track these older characters up to a certain stage. But, specifically for reworked characters and others that may have been left behind.

I never said they were skippable? I have always advocated for building of raid teams lol. But, I DO tend to try to find spaces to skip characters or teams, esp War ones because I do not like this game mode.

Its a great idea. Get rid of F2P means less server strain and they can bring back open all. They can then say this is what we asked for 😂

Still in the process of trying to get teams ready for apocalypse but things like this will probably hold me back from doing so.

No hes not, he actually says early in the video that he's nearly ftp or ftp adjacent. What that means is he spends but only a small amount. I imagine that means he buys the strike pass, maybe the battle pass too

I occasionally buy passes, at best once a month. I had previously spent in the distant past but only ever on character offers (2+ years ago). With the exception of scopely fuck ups I don't directly buy any resource offers that are not passes. Since DD7 I have increased my spending from 0 passes a month to 1 a month though. I would consider myself now F2P adjacent or at best low stage minnow.

I rarely skip teams outright but rather bring them only up to for example 85 G16. The way they try to change that with the new raids I‘d need probably more than double my current gold income to keep up unless the new raids are doable at 85 G16 or even below at the highest difficulties which I doubt. It’s a real f*** you to the non krakens.

There are very few characters ive outright left at level 1 which I believe was shown in the video at the bottom lol. That being said, I really hope that this new raid is NOT incursion level of requirements. AKA we can maybe do it at 86 G16 and NOT 95/100

f2p is me so should i just give up

No good way for f2p to push the milestones. Had resources to do better tha most. The math doesnt add up unless you spend a ton cash. Im level 100 and alot of developed. Scoply needs to make $$. But f2p needs be be able to progress further

Correct me if I'm wrong, but since invaders, just about every new team has had a showcase, making none skiable w/o forfeiting rewards. Only three characters skiable in last 2 years that I recall are Noir, Quicksilver, Mr Negative, zombies, and BigTime....and now Noir isn't.... I super soft built NA, lvl 75 no T4s, but that's the new minimum

I view lvl 75 as the soft build point lately as well. Out Of Time had Captain America and Carter built for DD6. BK was obviously good, but other 2 are staying at 75 until more information on the legendary requirement. If more is needed, then I can pivot for short period to work on them further.

The showcases for story mode and even challenge mode did not strictly require the team, it allowed you to use and include other characters in this as it went along until the end. That being said, there's a range of F2P stuff in the showcases without directly building the team.

What is to the moon for you? G18/95? Up to 100? Curious.

At least g18 95 I would say qualifies

If you are ftp just enjoy the game and dont feel rushed. Clearly scoply is about the $$. No pressure. New peter b event is meant for players to spend to move forward much. Its scoply. Develop teams have fun as you can. My best advice.

At no point was spider society skippable. Not even a little.

@@gamersinger5118 well in general you need them for raiding. If you aren’t raiding then you aren’t getting a daily dose of materials you need. After that it’s likely you take them to 95 and at least gt16. This means you can set them as war defense and CC defense at the least.

@@richman1661 Ah. I see. Incursion then right? Our alliance isn't strong enough for all that. I am. Just not the rest and I just play the game with my friends. I'm also like 95% f2p. Every now and then I might purchase a really good deal but most the time I just coast on what I have. Yea. Crimson gear doesn't come easy at all unfortunately. I get some from time to time. Right now I am only focused on getting my two biggest units to 19. That would be Apoc and Skrull. I do have quite the surplus of gear, gold, etc though so I may just wait to see what they will be needed for overall when the time comes. Appreciate the info.

They should stop making new characters and start reworking old characters to make them better.

but that doesn't get them money. i hate the new character's all the time as well. and them shit events with spending cores for orbs to unlock character with a 2 shard drops !!?

@@misobyg6186 imo I think it’ll give them the money because it’ll make them useful again and most of us probably have them at purple gear. To think about it if they make the character useful then the money would be put towards the gear maybe.

Too early for this discussion. Wait for more info on this raid, and timeline for it. We would have needed to build Spider Society anyways for future raid. They will be 1st or 2nd section of the next Incursion style raid. These types of videos might make them go back to being silent, and then totally screwing us when these future events drop out of nowhere.

They are just money hungry.. scopley
