    Thing with Anakin was that he was full of fear, doubt and resentment. Those were actually the waeknesses used by Palpatine to turn Anakin into the dark side.

    The rationale I don’t think was necessarily about how old he was then, but rather how he’d developed, especially with achieving escalation in power within his teenage years, with the strong attachments and internal turmoil he’s already begun carrying. Younger and he could have become more balanced and attachments more evenly spread out before his escalation in power, older and he could have been more matured and naturally humbled by life similar to Luke. Alternatively: Where they screwed up at this point was council not moving to immediately support his mother and bringing her here with her son. She could have been “sending her little Ani off to school…” etc each day, while maybe working a support roll within the order to help them out. Her growing loyalty to the same social circumstance as her son, could have vicariously fortified Anakin’s mindset within the Jedi ways and helped mediate his teenage angst later on. I’m sure he would have bashed heads opinion wise somewhere with other members eventually, but by golly if he had a mother to plant her foot down before anything escalated and say “Shut-it!” you can bet your momma’s boy Anakin would have taken aback instantly and reconsidered his position, even if she wasn’t some all powerful Jedi.😂

    I also really love that he's also the only one besides Palpatine that Anakin told about the slaughter of the Tuskens, and that he actually helped Anakin work through that. I think I heard them once say on this channel that it's possible that he & Anakin could've possibly stopped each other from turning to the dark side had A'Sharad been the one to train Anakin instead of Obi-Wan, and honestly I think I agree with that.

    I think Hett escaping Order 66 was more than just his survival instincts kicking in. He was a master of Form VI Niman. But unlike other Jedi who practiced the style, Hett elevated it to its highest levels, no doubt sharpened by the battles he fought during the Clone Wars

    He also started out viewing everyone as an enemy. So when he was caught by surprise and fell back into his old ways, it was easier for him to adapt to the paradigm shift; that everyone is now an enemy. It was probably like _"knew it"_ and then automatic kill mode go. Maybe it felt good.

    He sensed it. Like Yoda did, like Obi wan did. He felt a tremor in the force and that was enough to put up his guard. Many strong Jedi fell because they were not warned in the force. Their deaths was the warning everyone else needed to survive... the small few that seem to keep adding up due to Disney owning Star Wars now

    it's not certain if he fell to the darkside when order 66 was enacted, but he had the increased power level of a jedi that fell to the darkside when it happened. that was the difference between him and the Jedi, he did it for survival. the Jedi would never have slaughtered the clones.

    When you consider A'sharad Hett's full story to call him a survivor is definitely accurate. One of the most fascinating legends character who should be brought into canon though I fear they could not do him justice. It would take a multi-season TV series (probably 7 seasons) to do justice to his story and that would require great writing, casting and a big budget. Also characters like Obi wan and Anakin would be necessary not to mention Luke Skywalker so probably too great an undertaking.

(i soon after read the later comics) he was once a great Jedi. and even more sad, he never got redemption. he is forever lost to the Darkness and it didn't have to be that way.

    Of the characters who could do it, I'm glad it was him, as I'm a big fan of Legacy, and this is part of how we get Darth Krayt! I'm looking forward to the future videos that cover this! So, one little annoyance this brings up for me; I wish that Star Wars was a bit more willing to confirm whether the Tuskens were human, near-human, or aliens; whether their culture is ranging-inclusive, like the Mandalorians once were, or what? It's weird, to me, that the Hetts; obviously human, were Tuskens, since I see them as aliens, and always cringe when a source says "no one has ever seen a Tusken, or a Jawa, uncovered, as if none of them ever die, and have been picked over by others.

    So...out of all this...we keep seeing the Jedi Way. adopting/abducting children young and raising them wholly in their care, fall short in terms of power and ability like Anakin (age 9?), Luke (Teenage years, old enough to submit an application to the freaking Empire of all things,) and now A'sharad Hett, a Tusken raised individual. Also interesting notes: All 3 are from Tattooine (Wondering about any force nexus points there), and 2 are children of established Jedi also leading to a theory about Midichlorians being a genetic trait and the best way the Jedi could have swelled their ranks was to have Jedi embrace love as an emotion (See Luke and Leia, as well as Padme and Anakin).

    I mean ....come on it makes logistical sense that more than 50/10,000 active knights and masters would have survived in the first place. Not many, sure. But you also have the subsidiary factions of the jedi organization with the peace core etc. That is where the inquisition comes into play along with Vader hunting aswell. So in this new canon for disney. I'm okay with survivors showing up if the story is good and the consequences make sense.

    A tad hypocritical of the High Council...ESPECIALLY since Sherod WAS also a Master an from ANYTHING BUT a peaceful culture. Only some of the tribes actually was shown to be even willing to deal with non Tuskens. An this has only been shown to be JUST RELATIVELY RECENTLY. Imagine coming from a culture of warfare, fighting an harsh survivalism he was built, bred an trained to adapt to BAD situations an when faced with the 'Fight or Die' scenario... THIS background, coupled with both his Tusken AND Jedi training combined mixed with probably MORE then some Luck aĺowed him to fight free. Unwilling to Die unless his Clones proved up to the task.. in a way any Spartan Hoplite or Samurai or sikilar woulda been very proud of. Think SOME like Anakin, Yoda an Mace ALSO coulda done this an think others like Mundi just ASSUMED and/or thought they could an would if ever they had to too. BUT since majority of the Order doesnt have a Fight An Survive, whatever it took against whomever it was, whenever, an where if needed, mindest.. they then dropped like flies

    "One" jedi cannot fight "their" way out. The word their is plural.

  • @ASorren
    @ASorrenАй бұрын

    The use of “their” in the tile is incorrect. Their denotes more than one individual or item, a single person in a situation pronoun is either his or her. Edit you can also use “it” if you choose to conceal the gender.
