This guy turning to the Dark Side was for sure on Kenobi. Like wtf was he supposed to do at that point?😂 Got crippled, dealt the ultimate humiliation, got cut off from his family, banished and basically told "now let this be a lesson to you" lol. Krayt was for sure within his rights to want revenge.

I find Obi Wan let Anakin down in a similar way. He had a way of slightly just missing the mark on how to deal with complicated people.
Doesn’t matter who the opponent is , Obi-wan was not the one to be messed with
the thing is, if A'Sharad Hett had never fallen to the dark side the galaxy might have fallen to aballoth since he was helping luke take out aballoth

Obi-Wan is somehow directly or indirectly responsible for both halves of the coins that led to the defeat of Sidious and Abeloth 💀 Maybe he was the Chosen One that would bring balance to the force lmao
Either Kenobi doesn’t go far enough or he goes too far.
As brutal as it may be, I believe Obi Wan felt that Luke had to be protected at all costs.
"Y'know, I should probably stop decapitating every one I fight." - Obi Wan Kenobi, probably
Obi-Wan did not blow A'Sharad's arm off, he cut it off with an overhand slash and knocked A'Sharad away with a force push.
@mildlyfrostedbegels

Exactly. You can even see his arm burning on the next panel. I remembered this vividly when reading the Legacy series
I believe it was he need to do something to stop Hett but he should have tried harder to redeem him. Obi-wan should reminded Hett of his path as Jedi and convince to help protected the Larrs farm that have a chance to set things right for the Skywalker bloodline if only Obi-wan, much like Yoda, was not so closed minded that a person cannot return to the light.
Obi Wan did what needed to be done to protect Luke. Just like in his fight with Anakin/Vader he was gonna run out of energy if he didn't literally "disarm" him.
THIS would have been a 10000x better story than the Obi wan show.
I love Darth Krayt, and this is one of my favorite fights.

Obi-Wan was never the most talented or gifted force welder. He just had that dawg in him.
He never blew his arm off with the force, he cut it off, the author or artists even said he got it cut off
Obi pushing off his arm would be SO FREAKING painful!! holy crap, to feel the force being like "yeah... sorry you're losing this limb... this is our will" like holy crap sticks... definitely want more of this guys story!!
It shows how evil the Tuskens are. Instead of helping a wounded fellow tribesman the leave him behind and kick him out. They betray him just because he lost his arm and his face was shown. That is sick.
Loving these stories about this character and seeing the darker side of Obi wan. ❤
I’m pretty sure the writer later confirmed it was Obi Wan’s lightsaber that cut off Hett’s arm, not the force. You can even see a blue trail through Hett’s arm going to Obi Wan’s lightsaber in that panel
Obi-Wan did the right thing in sparing A'Sharad Hett's life. When he dueled Hett, he wasn't yet a Sith or even a Dark Jedi. A'Sharad really hasn't done anything that his father, Sharad, hadn't done earlier. Killing him would not have been an appropriate response for a Jedi.
Obi one did what the jedi council would've wanted he is technically the jedi lord of tattoeen
Am I the only one imagining Obiwan's Force ghost with a trolling smiley face?
Dark Side Obiwan
Wait.. what’s the proof that Kenobi didn’t use his saber other than the force circle on his hand in the comic frame? Even when this comic came out, I just took it as he cut his arm with his saber and used the force at the same time.

I would love to see the continuation of A'Sharad Hett's story
would love more videos about a'sharad hetts turn to the darkside to darthy krayt and his clashes with the skywalkers
He took it to far
So we are now getting into the story of darth Krayt I see. Love to see this new series!
I've been liking these short dives into Hett's life!
I love the dark horse comics, and always felt hett was underutilized. That's why I love this story arc so much. It was great when we found out that krayt was actually hett. Great story telling! But I still wish we could have had more stories with him as a Jedi as well
Kenobi the Negotiator? More like Kenobi the Dismemberer. 😂
We need more A'Sharad Hett Lore. The last video's you made about him were so good. His story is compelling.
I always thought Master Even Piell was the most badass Jedi out there. I'd love to see a breakdown on him🎉
more on this character. it's fun!
I will need you to put the bounty hunter story of the asharad thanx love your narration and rip to the guy who i watch stars wars for now
At the time Obiwan was blind by stupidity he shoul never dual with Darth Krate in the first place
It is not widely known that Kenobi is really ruthless when dueling. He did perform forbidden techniques to finish off his opponents, like Maul and Anakin. Don't get me wrong, Kenobi is still my fave Jedi! it is just fun to see and know his other side of the force. :P
Obi-Wan is extremely adept at creating Sith lords. I'm incredibly interested in A'sharad Hett keep it coming Stu. Obi-Wan was doing what thought was right ... from a certain point of view. His job was to protect Luke and that's what he thought was right. Brutal it may be, but also effective in putting down a threat to his ward.
@jocoolshow
27 күн бұрын
The 2 Sith Lords he created ended up balancing the force too which is funny. Helping take out Sidious and deal with Abeloth
I didn't even know one could use force telekinesis to dismember an opponent. 😶
Also, could you tell me what that music is called at the beginning of the video? I really love the dark and ominous vibes it gives!
I find ASharad Hett an interesting character to explore. Thank you!
Oh come on Ben, I doubt Hett would've turned Luke in if Ben told him the truth. He might have agreed to leave their specific farm alone and become once-in-a-while allies. Hell, learning there was hope for the galaxy might've motivated him to try to negotiate with the rest of Tatooine. I'm sure Hett would take any opportunity to get revenge on the Empire for Order 66 too. Instead he takes away Hett's home and life with his tribe, *like an asshole*. Obi-Wan isn't called the Negotiator for nothing.
Look what he did to Anakin....left him there to burn....he might as well be a Sith.
do we know what A'Sharad hetts thought once he found out why Obi-Wan was fighting so brutaly on tatooine? Also, if the Jedi Order had been a thing still at that time, Would Obi-Wans acts in that duel with using the force to destroy an arm of his opponent be enough to have Obi-Wan kicked out of the order/sent to the Jedi Prison on that secret planet for rehabilitation? because i higely doubt that the force techniqe Obi-Wan used there would have been a Technice the Jedi are allowed to use aigenst living beeings, and it dosent even realy sound like a lightside techncie but more a technice from the dark side like force rupter or something simular to that
Congrats Obi Wan, you created one of the two most significant Sith Lords since the death of Darth Sidious in the EU. This is doubly awful when you know that the Tuskens are violent towards non-Tuskens because of their experience with the Rakata's Infinite Empire millennia ago. Tattooine is their rightful home that keeps getting invaded and exploited.
Very cool
Taking the arm might have been necessary especially if A'Sharad was matching him, but the mask was definitely to much
Most impressive video.
Mannnnnnn, if only, instead disney decided kenobi never trained for 10 years despite wanting luke to be train, LEFT and fought vader, and his own show got taken over to be all about Reva - also he BEAT VADER AND LEFT HIM ALIVE -
So, I'm going to look dumb, but at least when a lightsaber removes a limb, it cauterizes the wound. If Chewbacca just tore one's arms off, as some Wookiees are reputed to do, I'd imagine the victim would just bleed out, and quickly. Can't imagine that Kenobi Forcing it off would be much different? Such losses are also something that IRL motivate some sad people to end their own lives, so while it could be seen as yet another mistake, by Kenobi, to take everything from someone, and then abandon them to misery, the fact that A'Sharad not only survived his physical injury, but also his anguish, is surprising, as is the fact that Kenobi likely let Hett keep his lightsabers, which he still had later, as Darth Krayt. It does make me wonder how long he goes on as a one-armed man? He eventually gets a Yuuzhon Vong graft to replace it, but I don't recall him having a mechanical arm, and then THAT being replaced by Vong-form, though they do hate tech, so maybe? Definitely anticipating Darth Krayt videos! Will love to dip into Legacy Era, again! 😊
bro has 1 arm, therefore he's useless? Protecting Tuskin's seems stupid, they wont have ur back. Also Obi Wan be out there BLOWING limbs off with the force alone? Wtf?!?!
Sensational
This is tragic story. Asharad was tragic character. Obi-Wan was very harsh here.Overboard. But we can undestand why. Asharad went to far,he fell to dark side. He lead Tuskans into killing settlers, other farmers. Obi-Wan did the right thing. He protected Luke. At all cost. Looking forward to next holocron. May the Force be with you too😊
I want to see this tusken raider Jedi in future of star wars he sounds so interesting 😊
That's all old Ben could do
A’Sharad Hett was extremely UnderRated 🔥 He didn't run away like a B*tch during Order 66 is what I respect , he showed what a Warrior is about.
Darth traya!!!
Obi-Wan had to deal with A'Sharad in the Tusken way. Anything less would have dishonored them both. To say Obi-Wan was evil here means you don't know the Tusken Raiders at all.
Basically Kenobi tried everything to get hett to back down without a fight and having failed. Used most effective means at his disposal to end the fight, nullify the threat of the tuskans to rest of Tatooine and larrs family as well as spare hett, even if the methods that he used were overly harsh and brutal.
It just dawned on me... May the 4th is in a few days 😮... I hope there will be some decent star wars news this year 🙏
Obi-Wan is an enigma to me. I love him for his humanity, and yet when he spares his enemies they come back as powerful sith lords ... 🤔
@jocoolshow
27 күн бұрын
Probably the will of the force. The 2 Sith Lords he ‘created’ ended up helping in taking out Sidious, the 2nd strongest Sith Lord of all time, and Abeloth, a force entity/evil god
Old Ben didn't go far enough.
Ah. So, not really a Tusken, then.
Obi-Wan didn't go far enough.
Just like obi to name his enemy and leave lol
I have been familiar with the life of A'Sharad Hett/Darth Krayt.
What Ben Kenobi did was unbecoming of a Jedi, if he had done it unprovoked and didn't know the Tuskan traditions. Ben understood just how dangerous a Jedi could be if they were allowed to act with impunity he had fought Anakin and saw how far that path can take someone. I do think however he should of killed Hett it wouldn't be striking down an unarmed combatant but a means to give said combatant a merciful death.
He stood on BUSINESS
Stories of wookies would be great
Obi Wan, at this point in his history has already shown a pattern of defying the ways of the Jedi Order that he holds so dear. Do I think it was right for him to do this? Well, it won him the duel in a way that prevented the other Tusken's from attacking him afterward. If he'd simply killed his former comrade, they might have swarmed him in rage, but disgracing him... that ended it. So was it right? My gut says no. Was it necessary? Yes. Sometimes you have to do what is necessary over what is right, and it doesn't surprise me remotely that he chose to do that here regardless of his hypocritical preaching of the Jedi Code when he violated it so regularly and judged others so harshly when they violated it in other ways.
Imma keep it 💯 A'Sharad was in the right here.
Obi didn't have a choice at that point.
I'd like a what if Osheratt hett helped Obi wan train luke that would have given him a new purpose
Do Jania Solo story coverage
Cruel an Desperate times call for similar measures.. can understand taking his arm.. Hard NOT too. However dunno if would go as far as to disgrace him SO MUCH Asherod WOULDN'T EVER accept him into ANY of their numbers.. an IF done so, would've at least allowed him to stay on his beloved home world OR granted him a swift end which would been a Mercy. I wonder if had it been Yoda if HE would understood an advise Ben to NOT feel too bad about it or told Kenobi MAYBE disgrace would been a bit much. Since he'd have ti basically need a mechanical arm now or become some sorta Form 2 dualist..
Day 471 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
If he would have killed Anakin, so many jedi would not have been killed after order 66
If old Ben killed him He would of become a martyr to all the tribes. That would off been more farmers killed. He found the besst way. And the only way he could make sure Luke was safe with out on going Blood shed. That is why he was there ???????,
If the farmers hadn’t pushed the tusken off THEIR LAND in the first place none of this would have happened
How you end a fight does not matter only that you do.honestly for him it’s brutal but overall both in the real world and star wars overall it’s pretty tame especially considering he left darth Vader to literally burn to death although it never came to pass.never forget that sometimes you must be blunt or brutal even occasionally cruel to do the right thing if an enemy will hold nothing back you too must do the same or you risk everything and frankly he let him live good intentions but ultimately a bad idea in any real conflict.in a real fight or conflict its over when the enemy and existence can not return not when the battles end as today victims will become tomorrow’s butchers its in all history and it is an uncomfortable fact of life.
cause obi wan learned nothing about leaving anakin to recover and become worse
The Beatles forever ♾️
Hard to say. Cause a force wielding warlord with Jedi training does sound WAY too dangerous to be allowed to continue. Kenobe no longer has an army, nor the backing of the people on that world. I think this was his only chance to stop genocide. Much like with Anakin this turn to the dark happened because of his ties. So I think Obi Wan was really hoping that A'Sharad would return to the light else where in the galaxy.
i will just say it at what point does letting someone live become a crime against humanity or life?the joker for example or say anyone really there needs to be some kinda law in fiction and real life because there comes a point it’s actually stupid and kinda amazing yet it is used way to often in everything in my opinion.
So uncivilized...
Kind of a dick move saying all of the Jedi should have fought their way out of order 66… they were caught by surprise… this is like saying Julius Ceasar should have fought his way out of being assassinated by his friends 😂 “Eh tu Bly (brutus)”
I've always found Kenobi to be the least interesting major character in SW.
Obi-Wan should have said « creating powerful sith lords is my specialty » Even tho Maul was no more a sith after his demised, he sure came back stronger because of Kenobi. Without Obi-Wan, Vader would not have been the same nor A’sharad hett.. I say this and still think he’s also a very great jedi, kinda victim of his own order arrongance
Hett is the best choice for a future canon villain, in my opinion, but not making him a Sith, but a new order trying to outdo the Sith and improve on them. And I'm not necessarily saying copying the character and making it Hett himself, but using his story as a blueprint
