Lieutenant Luxury Answer this question. Why does Jeremy Kyle get axed after 15 years when a guy kills himself when Love Island has been on air for four years, two people who've gone on it are dead, and yet ITV don't see fit to get it axed?

I completely agree he makes serious problems have a rainbow in them all. it's only unfortunate because Russell puts SO MUCH work into these comedy shows and scripts but gets no actual effect into the real world but he should know there are people out there that support and understand and follow what Russell says. People do try to change these problems it's only disappointing because not enough people do it.

He's shows really do address the problem in this country. It's sadly however a action of greed id say. These shows like naked attractions there's no need for it than just to get views from thirsty viewers. The government themselves don't seem to help the working class as much like in Russells talk about house prices.

I believe dad's should play a bigger role in their daughter's lives. I'm a single dad to a teenage girl and I treat her like a human not a girl. Hell yes! This is what more people need to incorporate into parenting. It doesn't matter what gender the kid is. Let them experience different things. I was raised mostly by my grandad and he took me motorbike riding. Camping. Fishing. Hiking. Everything. He also got me to try and wear dresses and play with Barbie dolls. I'd just put them in my remote controlled cars and see how long they could hold on for. People just need to let their kids experience things. What's with all these snowflake kids. They get a scratch on there arm and they start crying and balling their eyes out. No you get up dust yourself off and keep playing. That builds resilience

My best memory from my childhood was going to see the first Harry Potter movie after my dad had read the book to me. It was really cold that night and we were waiting for my mom to come pick us up and while we were waiting my dad talked to me about the movie and of course being five I was you know just losing my shit over how cool it was. Just like when we were reading the books dad mentioned how Hermione was really smart and he always wanted me to be like her he told me that I could do anything and be as clever as she was if I just worked hard and read a lot of books. Ironically I'm dyslexic but I have 10 library cards for different online libraries that have different online versions of audiobooks and I think I've read at least 10 books per year if not more I think Harry Potter had a lot of meaning for a lot of people

I can't remember the name, but there was one dating show that i don't think lasted long. The people would go into a pitch black room and have a few dates. Then they see each other, and choose if they want to keep dating. It was depressing how many times one of them would decide to not continue on after they'd seen them, even though they'd gotten along really well in the dark.

Talking about vanity and body issues and bringing up Hermione Granger from Harry Potter....in the films she’s played by Emma Watson, an attractive girl (now woman) yet in the books she isn’t described as being the best looking girl at all. She has big frizzy hair, buck teeth and generally not exactly the pick of the bunch, and it forms an important aspect to her character. It’s why everyone is so shocked in the fifth book that Victor Krum asks her to the Yule Ball, the general consensus being “why did he pick that ugly girl when he’s a good looking, famous quidditch player?”

Yeah once he figures out that there is more than 1 main character in Disney films and the examples he used were story’s about how either she had fallen a sleep, died (snow) and another one is about how she grades her voice away for things she doesn’t have , and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ONE OF THE BIGGEST CASTS WITH THE MOST RICH CHARACTERS THAT ALL HAVE THERE OWN ARCS , but nah it’s the men wanting to talk all time

WhatAWorld you clearly have doodoo brain, all the examples he gave were story’s WHERE the main female loses the ability to speak as part of the storyline, either asleep , baso dead, trades her voice BUT THEY STILL HAVE 30% of lines!!!!! THATS A LOT OF TALKING, considering there is shit tons of characters in all 4 story’s, and when it comes to belle , in beauty and the beast THE ENTIRE CAST is full of vibrant characters with recognisable characteristics and I recon combine belle and mrs Potts and the three Gaston girls females have easly of 50% of lines, what he has done is misinterpreted statistics for the sake of a stupid joke and now dumbass like you are going to actually belive him, it’s like you havnt seen a single on of the films he mentions 😂😂😂(and jk Rowling is A FUCKING SHIT WRIGHTER LMAO , Harry Potter is a mash up of lord of the rings starwars and it’s stolen from other series, I could sit here and entire day ranting not only about that but how shitty of a person she is but neither of us have time for that 😂)

When he brought up when men speak more than women in disney movies, it reminded me of the project my science teacher had us do. The girls had to lead the group, pick the boys they wanted to “work for them” and the boys weren’t allowed to talk. Then he talked to the class about how in the classroom setting boys are more likely to speak up. And after the project the class worked so much better, because the girls felt more comfortable talking

As a young woman, finding my own identity was everything. Never tried to blend in with others in my classes. I was the kid to ask questions after class, do my work instead of goofing off and really tried to learn. I'm an EU immigrant, so I had to learn in school to learn the language, traditions, history and culture in the UK. My identity became Scottish, I flourished here. I grew into a woman who loves both arts and science (and that baffles people), learning about different subjects... During lockdown, I've hopped between history of science and astronomy, with a dash of physiology and psychology to revise for next year when I go back to uni after a year out. I just love to learn, to understand and to share that knowledge with others. I think Hermione had an impact on that. But also a few different characters as well, from Winx Club. Flora, getting gentle natured and studious, Stella for how hilariously adorable she is, Aisha/Layla for being a fucking badass, Bloom throwing herself into danger to help stop others from being hurt, Tecna for being that tech nerd that I was as a kid and Roxy for her fiery nature and seeking to learn about a world she never knew she was a part of. First four seasons really helped with understanding growing up, adult themes in the fourth season we've gave characters a chance not to be wacky stereotypes. Nick and 4Kids butchered those themes, but it has an impact on me. Seeing them grow up across seasons helped me with my own growing up as a kid. And inspired me to be studious, kind, supportive, and fun to be around as an adult as I was pretty sheltered as a kid

I think everyone's forgetting that Ursula made Ariel give up her voice-- y'know, the active female villain made her believe that. Ariel could've just swam up to Eric and been like "Hi I saved your life heh funny that" and Eric would've loved her for who she was because she literally saved his life. It's Ursula's and King Triton's fault that she went to trade her voice in. Her voice is then later used against her as a hypnotism device (if you wanted to be bold you could assume that's because of the voice being the most powerful part of a woman) to get Eric to not kiss Ariel so her time would be up. Eric didn't love Ariel because she was quiet and pretty- he loved her because she was expressive, adventurous and saved him from drowning.

I have a tattoo of the Little Mermaid on my foot cos its always a little reminder not to lose myself or my voice as I move through life. At Electric Picnic (music and arts festival in Ireland) last year, I went to a podcast recording where Russell was bring interviewed and he spotted the tattoo in the middle of the interview and tells the room that fact about men speaking 2/3 of the time in the movie, and then asks, 'so why'd you get it?' I remember being so delighted that there was someone that got that message. It was a fun little nugget in the middle of a crazy weekend :)

  • @Mousekins

@Sawssan Kaddoura As somebody who actively grew up watching the little mermaid, I can safely say it did nothing to influence my talkativeness. Especially since Ariel is outwardly defiant, outspoken, is a singer, is expressive even without a voice, and the overall message from Ursula (who we know is a 'bad guy') is portrayed as wrong. Ursula says these things because she knows it'll get Ariel to take the bait, and we recognise this. I don't think there's inherent misogyny in old media. Mulan saves china because she cares for her aged father, Belle wants adventure, cinderella just wants to go on a night out. Love is usually a sub-plot of many of them and generally don't revolve around 'finding a man'. Ariel only wants to go to the surface because she wants to dance and sing and walk on the beach, meeting Eric was just another reason for her to go up there- and is frequently told she shouldn't. Ariel's defiant to a fault. I don't like it when people ignore the larger narrative of the stories either. It makes for one sad Mouse.

  • @Mousekins

    @Mousekins

@Sawssan Kaddoura I feel like we're agreeing on the same thing but from different perspectives, so to save us back and forthing I'm going to just TL;DR the stance. People deserve better representation in media and overarching stories should be appreciated as much as they should be critically thought of. (because if we truly love something we must be able to criticise it, too.) Honestly I'd be down for discussing it more in depth but in youtube's comment section it's too disjointed for me to enjoy and think too hard on. Thank you for the discussion regardless, I appreciate the stance you've taken and wish for you to have a nice day.

Let me tell you a short story of how I found love. One day I was chatting with people, socializing on social media when I noticed one guy, I don't remember how or why I noticed him but I'm quite glad I did, we started to talk in private a bit and he really grew attached to me as he told me more and more about himself, we became great friends in a couple of weeks of talking to eachother and I became his best friend. One day he told me about his depression, quite a severe problem he's got, he then told me that he was so depressed that he would've jumped off of the roof of his house... if I wasn't there for him, his sister even told me he keeps talking about me all the time, I made him happy again and am the only person to give him a smile again and he loves me so much. I can't even say that I love him more because I just can't, he would be dead without me. We still talk every day to eachother and keep up our friendship and I could honestly not think of someone better then him. My world has changed a lot too because of him and he's made me the happiest person alive. And yeah it's gay, they're allowed to have depression too.

@@marionmelia2962 i didn't delete. I added "not-noticeable". I can't change your mind. Biologically, yes I still have a thing that makes certain things harder for me but reading and writing is luckily no longer an issue for me. And eventually I'll be able to improve on other weak areas as well. But as I have said. I can't change your mind - so you can keep thinking I'm a faker. I don't really care. You're probably halfway across the world from me.

1:35 - I'm .... actually related to someone that went on Love Island and I can 100% back that claim up. They also tend to be pig ignorant and self centred, think that they're the 'best' just because they're popular for how they look. It's been fun watching things fall apart now that the money is drying up.
