@@liftbread Even if we give you that, Curry is averaging a career low 4.1 catch and shoot shots per game. What about the other 16 shots he attempts per game? And you are probably not an advanced analytic guy but Steph attempts less than 3 shots a game when the nearest defender is 6 feet or more away. A couple of things this tells us, those illegal screens are not getting him open enough so Steph is creating a lot more of his own shots, mainly the midrange and in the key buckets. The 1 thing you have correct is that Steph is taking less "double teamed" shots (Only 2 per game). But just so that you know, he's taking a career high 4.1 shots per game when there is no action. Just him going against 1 guy, no screen, no help defense. Here are those splits: 60/51/88 with a 74 TSP%... That means if Curry wanted to not call any screen help and the defense don't double him, he's on pace of having the best offensive stat in the history of basketball.

Steph Curry even at age 34, Gonna be 35, is Playing out of his mind. And He’s doing all this while still getting Double Teamed, Triple Teamed, to this day. And when you add in the fact that He’s Expanded his game even more by Making more of his Mid-range jump shots, it just makes him that much more Unguardable. I mean, the dude is already shooting nearly 45% from 3 and now 60% From Mid-Range!! I feel like they have the solid basic skills as a replacement for their athleticism (and height for steph). But the difference with Curry is that he's getting more and more stronger and athletic as time moves on

I somehow agree with you.. But, athleticism is not all but strength in jumpimg ability (if you ssugests that...). Bird and Steph have stong upper body... Bird is agile for a 6'10 player... SC30 is a 6'3" (AI is 6 flat & dame is 6'2") agile/quick PG that fans don'r give credit hiim more and both Bird & SC30 can dunk which means, they are also athletic (if not above average, they are not that poor in terms of atheleticism)... And btw, both have flexible body (which is rightfully because they are "athletes") & crafty with the ball... Therefore, I can say that both are athletic basketball players in their sizes..

Here is the real answer: big sports media like ESPN would have you think athleticism is a 6'3 guy dunking but jumping past the backboard. Obviously that's not it at all. He is literally in the best shape for his height, knows where he wants to get to and gets there, and is beyond fast and quick. Even Klay who added bulk to absorb contact better isn't as athletic as Steph 🤦 Once y'all get that, this isn't that surprising. 👍

cause gsw doesnt rely on isolations. have curry do iso or even post up it would linear and easy to stop. honestly its not even him cause their playstyle havent changed its just because of the system all of them benefited that anybody on gsw would have a clear look or little contest. theyre more relaxed to shoot. curry was never known for slashing and dunking like drose he does running thru screens few dribbles then shoot. he could make thats drives now just because like i said other 4 gsw cant be wide open theyre relaxed to shoot

Probably 1.5 more years of this level of play… after this i think he takes a step back from going to the rim so hard, and let’s JP take over, he would get hurt less, and add a couple year’s to his career!.. imagine Curry playing the Kyle Korver exclusively for the Warriors!
