Still his fault that his career peak was short. One of the best of all time but that lack of practice meant he prioritized his solo game/scoring than gelling with his team. Even though Kobe and Jordan was scoring a lot, you can always see them being in flow with their team knowing that they have rebounders when they iso and when to help in defense.

In Kobe's early NBA career, I didn't like him because he was cocky and had bad attitude. But, as he grew up, I started to respect him and understand what kind of man he really was. Especially, after he became a family man. When he became a family man, he got all my respect because he put his time and effort into his family by taking care of them all the time. Then, when his beautiful life was cut short, I was upset, sad, and cried my eyes out because of what he did to the game of basketball, how he changed for the better as a family member because he did everything to take care of his family. He proved me wrong when he became a better father, a better teammate and a better man for humanity. He died doing what he loved and I realized what a special person he was to the basketball community and to the world! As I write this, I'm crying my eyes out...😢.

Agreed. He was cocky when he entered the NBA, but can you fault him? All the greats (including MJ) has to come in as a rookie with some level of confidence and drive, or else they’re gonna be eaten up by the vets. I think that confidence comes across as “cockiness” but when they mature and settle in on their skills and leadership, that’s what really separates good players from the all-time greats!!

MJ and Kobe were alike and brothers in mindset. They ALWAYS rose to the occasion, especially if you talk crap to them. It grinds my teeth even now, because I am the same way in all 6 sports I played growing up and showing out. I bring the heat, baby! Well, wait, not at 62, but I did. I ruptured my achilles blocking some fools shot at 5e years old before I hung-up my shoes for good. It was around the same time Kobe did the same thing - except, he was playing again fore I could even jog. For real!!!! LOL

Nah. Kobe can't guard AI. It was Tyrone Lue who stopped AI from scoring 30 points in a half. You see, Phil tried almost every player to guard AI and for some reason, he managed to pull Tyrone Lue after AI scored 30 points in the first half of the 1st game. And let's be real here, it was Shaq who carried the Lakers to 4 straight wins against the 76ers. All of the 76ers bigman were all in foul trouble including Mutombo. Nobody can guard Shaq that time until the referees started counting 3 seconds violation for Shaq, who usually laid eggs on that shaded area. But that didn't happen till around 2002 or 2003 if I'm not mistaken. Then the Hack-a-Shaq started as well, I'm not sure but I think it was Don Nelson who started it, using Dampier? Lol. Overall, Kobe still owns AI, career-wise, legacy-wise but it is not Kobe who stopped AI on that Finals match, it was Tyrone Lue!

Kobe can't guard Ai?! Come on now Kobe didn't make All-Defensive Team 12x for nothing. Look up the game when prime Ai had 16pts in the first half when NOT guarded by Kobe. Then in the second half Phil put Kobe on him man to man the rest of the way. Guess what Ai finished with, 16pts. Kobe guarded everyone. Btw, I understand you finished with saying is wasn't Kobe who stopped Ai in that specific match but you opened with "Nah, Kobe can't guard Ai." which is totally false.

So go ahead and mention the one time he had a good game. A.I. always went against Kobe & Shaq or Kobe & some other star, A.I went to war basically himself!!!
