That's a chance of a lifetime for these kids, did you see how the ENTIRE gym erupted with hands in the air wanting to be next when Kobe asked? I bet that kid is still telling that story to this day.

The most amazing part about the very few guys like Kobe and MJ isn’t the raw talent…it’s the work ethic. They MAKE themselves who they are through sheer hard work and determination. Amazing.

everybody who played basketball at some point knows it's all genetics and talent, practice is just the finetuning, Jokic would rip him and his lakers apart, and he has by far not that work ethic for basketball that kobe had.

Nobody will ever have the same competitive spirit as Kobe. That is why he is my inspiration when I joined college basketball.

The way he schooled that camp kid and said, "who's next?", and every kid in the gym raised their hand ❤

I’m sure that kid would still be very proud he scored one point on Kobe. I would too. That experience is worth everything just to be able to play with Kobe. There are many real players and collage who didn’t get the chance to do that…it’s real cool and awesome I’m sure.

I got to play with AI when I was 15. And all we did was shoot around but has stuck with me and will stick with me forever! And you know Kobe and AI had a mutual love and respect for one another. That 96 draft class was loaded!

To me, Kobe will always be my "MJ". I was a little too young to really appreciate MJ when he was playing but to me, Kobe is the greatest that I've ever seen.

I was blessed to catch the tail end of Magic, all of MJ, and all of Kobe. What a treat basketball was during those generations. Granted LeBron and Curry are amazing talents, the talent within the league and the way the game is played has changed too much to be enjoyed like it was back in the day!

When I was 6 I watched my first basketball game, it was Kobe. I fell in love with the game ever since. And I became the biggest Kobe fan since then. I was devastated when I heard the news abt him passing away.. he will forever be my favourite player and my GOAT.

You forgot to mention the best part of the Mamba/Bow-wow story. Bow wow was talking during their pick up game and said to Kobe: “You gonna dunk on me? he’s gonna dunk on me!” to which Kobe responded “nigga, if i was gonna dunk on you, I’d wrap one arm around you and take you up with me”
