NBA Legends Explain Why It’s So Hard To Guard Stephen Curry At 35
Since his debut in 2009, Curry has been a nightmare for anyone tasked with the unenviable job of guarding him. But here's the kicker, he's 35 years old, with over a decade and a half of professional basketball under his belt, yet he's showing no signs of slowing down.
Think about it. At an age where most players are either retired, riding the bench, or reminiscing about their glory days, Curry is out there, still making defenders look silly and dropping buckets. But why is it so difficult to stop him, especially at this stage in his career?
You see, it's not just about the points he scores or the records he shatters. It's about the way he revolutionizes the game, pushing the boundaries of what's possible on the court. So, as we delve into the enigma that is Stephen Curry at 35, we'll hear from NBA legends themselves, those who've tried and failed to contain the Curry phenomenon. From the hardwood to the stat sheet, we'll unravel the mysteries behind what makes guarding Curry at 35 such a tough task. Welcome to the Steph Curry experience.

It’s mind boggling that fans like to doubt and hate on Steph when there are legitimate NBA players who struggle and praise him.

I think you can say this about many athletes though, not just curry.. he has many expectations so when he slips up people like to criticize just like any big athlete?
What I admire most about Steph’s game, is not his shooting, handling, or tear droppers, it’s his conditioning. Dudes stamina in game is unmatched.

And his unselfishness. Always making the right play and his teammates thrive with him. Never blaming or showing frustration to anyone for no reason just because he’s a star or a legend.

I’m NOT even into SPORTS of any kind and EVEN I KNOW THAT STEPH CURRY IS PHENOMENAL. ❤
He’s the best and he’s humble! ❤
These Steph stories…really love them. I hate to think about it but when this guy retires…at least we have these video reminders of his greatness.

That's so true. Besides GP2, noone really excites me. Those 2 are my favorite players 😊. The game won't be the same after Steph's gone. I'm from Chicago, and I'm from the MJ Era. When he retired, I didn't really have any interest in watching, that is until Steph came along. He rejuvenated my love for the game 😍

With all the double teaming on him for almost 8 years and still perform at the highest level with his stature its unbelievable
Only the refs guard Steph 😂

The most amazing thing about Steph is that he learned the true physics of the game. If you can, watch his Masterclass. Steph is on another level.

i noticed his voice right away!
There are so many basketball greats and I'm sure Curry is among them. But for me, what separates him is that he has the biggest Basketball IQ among the greats.
Its crazy when you consider these are the top 0.001% top players and they cant even guard him.. Also, imagine having to guard him (1 on 1) at half court.. That's insane.
Steph reminds of what Proximus said "I wasn't the best because I killed quickly, I was the best because the crowd loved me". When PG mentioned the crowd it reminded me of that even though he is the best shooter of all time.
i love steph man

So good
It's about time Steph gets 2 statues 1 in Oakland and 1 at Chase Center
People say its "Levels" to the game. Steph put a whole other Level to the game. Consistent distance and accuracy are unbelievable. He's the ONLY player that gets double and triple teamed the whole game. Lebron, Jokic, Embid, Tatum, Giannis, Luka...None of them gets overhauled like he does. He still gets no respect with foul calls either!!! Curry been the best player in the league since the bubble season, and the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
When somebody you’re guarding doesn’t stop moving and you’re not conditioned for that it’s over! No one is saying you’re not good at what you do, you have to consider who you’re guarding!
I've never met him so maybe I've got no right to an opinion but having watched him on court &. in how many yrs of interviews as a Dubs fan the dude seems by far the KINDest "assassin" I've seen if this guy's got a mean streak it sure hasn't shown anywhere I've seen
I think Steph is secretly taking ballet classes.....🤣explains why he's so smooth, float like a butterfly 🦋sting like a bee🐝
There’s two eras one before curry and one after… whole game has changed now🙏
He still has the biggest engine in the NBA.
Thank you so much for this video and the title is exactly that ....'The Steph experience '

Much love brother. Means a lot
Steph's nickname should be Gravity because he bends the rules of space time.
Stephen is the beast. He is the best in the league, and his snipers come out of nowhere. His movement is unbelievable for his age. Go, Stephen! Stay in shape and keep your head up.
That's the Chef!
SC30 THE REAL MVP & GOAT💪👊💪
They all say Steph is hardest to guard because of his conditioning so much so the refs have to get "not" involved and swallow their whistles most of the time Steph has the ball when he puts it up.
Steph is the greatest of this era

His right there at the top. Thats why he has lots of haters too and criticize how he plays.
You gotta add the clip where he told them this was there last win vs Celtics
He is the epitome of Triple Thread, but applied to all the court. Plus probably his rather small body frame allows for better agility and stamina than regular NBA player. He has low set point plus not very high, so you could expect lot of blocks, but his shooting speed is simply lighting fast...
People forget curry was robbed for 2 full years due to ankle injuries . Dude will be here for min
Steph is GOAT of this ERA !!!!!!
i remember the olympic diva team where Stephs teammates often refused to give him the ball, fearing he could cast a shadow on them...
I always look for vids covering Steph difficulties.. Lol. Thank you

6 is way to high, Steph gets a call and a half average. The league is broken trying to make sure he gets no foul calls
Nobody like a winner go Steph!!!
tbh the only weakness i see in his game is his turnovers sometimes, Like careLess passes, but overalL this man is a threat just being on the court lol

These people who want to beat Stephen should just accept the fact that they can’t.
He is not human😂😂😂
Rip Hamilton was a beast running around.
To me Steph curry is the messi of basketball . I’ve been a football fan all my life and I would watch any match with messi in it especially in his prime because you knew there would be some magical stuff. I’ve always been a casual basketball fan but actually getting more and more into it and I will watch any game Steph is in because again I know there will be excitement . When Jordan, lebron, shaq and countless others say your one of the best off all time I think it’s fair to assume they know what they are talking about . I’ve watched a few videos today and I love seeing Steve Kerr reactions to Stephs skills and crazy 3s . Steve Kerr was decent himself with a 3 , again when you take in all the praise from the who’s who of nba over the decades and then add that a coach like Steve Kerr says he learned that even tho Steph might go for a shot from where Steve and most coaches would call a bad position , it’s not a bad position for Steph . Steves own words “Steph is allowed to shoot anytime he wants and from any where he wants as he’s that good” That’s quite special really. Imagine Steph and lebron both in there primes playing together 😮😮 would be something else . I say “in there prime” ones 39 and the others 36 and they are still head and shoulders above most in the league 😂
Steph is a scientist NBA move
Moves without the ball like Reggie
The Lebron comment about guarding Steph when he steps out of his car 😂😅
hoops report is everywhere
Bron said you might wanna guard him when he get outta bed 😂😂😂
No other one, it's Steph curry is the best in NBA player.👍👍❤️and MJ 👍👍❤️
Amazing an entertaining to watch Steph He is an invisible
Gotta guard him once he gets off the car 😂😂
It’s a petty we live in a time when we can’t celebrate multiple great players, and what they can do and bring to the game like we did in the 80’s and 90’s
Isn’t this the “sheesh” guy from that other channel?
Interview the refs they can guard against him with ease
wait a sec, this is the hoop reports guy
It'll be a sad day when this man retires fr
4:22-4:27 shows how difficult it is to guard Mr. Curry
Stephen is the next player that deserves a statue. LeBron wasn’t loyal enough to get one anywhere. He played out Cleveland too much to deserve one.
Finna go find a KYRIE version of this video ✌🏾
Are you related to Hoop Reports? You sound like him
"I think what make Steph so hard"💀💀
I wanna hear Jaylen Brown’s comment on this. Lol.
His release time is very quick.
Why he would like hoop report tuff vid tho 😭.
its a lot more physically demanding to be a center than to shoot 3's, and possibly that's why he can keep going at 35.
All that running around Steph does during a single game adds up to 30 miles. 😮😂
Derrick White sounds like a deeper-voiced Trae Young. 💀💀
Pound for pound greatest of all time
Is it me or does MrSports sound like Hoops report?
❤❤❤#SC30
Dude has two lungs and a turbo
His video is from hoops report channel
HE IS THE MESSI OF BASKETBALL ❤
Who else saw that handshake @5:50? 👀
Gotta guard Steph before he get outta bed bro lol
NBA isn't stupid, they don't give Steph "superstar" foul calls because he will make the game "boring". His shooting ability and off the ball movement is too exceptional. If he gets fouled to the free throw line often, he will break the game.
