I forgot to hit record on the field recorders, so the microphone audio is taken from the OBS stream, and therefore a lot more lofi than usual.
A few people asked for track IDs. This won't be particularly helpful, as they're just unfinished tunes, but this is what they're known as to me (project number-version)

Love having a personal look and feel to the artists that I vibe to, glad to have this look on youtube, glad to hear about the patreon, hopefully I can join it up when the moment allows for it, until then, I'll support you with views and likes and keep on loving your music, keep going, enjoy the creation :)

Thanks, just listening to the tunes is more than enough support, and appreciated very much. If people find themselves in a situation where they want to hop onto the Patreon for a month or two, that's always gonna be a bonus, but not expected!

Honestly, I wouldn't be too worried about 'asking for too much', Adam Neely's recent video about Sungazer's tour kinda made me realize that working in the music industry as an artist is pretty tough, and people do seem to have this idea of the 'starving artist', which I think is ridiculous. As with many things in life, people from the previous generation will make you think that "you don't deserve XYZ thing", and it becomes a internalized idea which you enforce on yourself. Basically all I'm saying is I love your music. I signed up for your patreon, and I don't even care about the benefits for myself, I just want to keep hearing music from you. Thanks!

Really appreciate that, that's super kind of you. I had to check out the video you mentioned too, enjoyed it and a lot of it tickled me from my own issues I've had on tour. Thanks for the super kind words and support, it really does make a difference!

I can relate very well to the thing about making music when you are busy with other things vs when making music is all you have to do. Joined the patreon and looking forward to its content!

Thanks so much Dylan, that's really appreciated. I'm glad it resonated with you and I'm not the only one who finds that to be the case. Just fired over you a shoutout on Patreon, so keep a look out for a message over there!

There's absolutely no pressure or expectation from me with this, I'm just going to be spamming it a little bit whilst it's getting off the ground. If people are enjoying the music and commenting on things, that's still more than enough support. If people find themselves in a position to get involved with the patreon, that's awesome, but I just really appreciate people listening to the music anyway!

I never used patreon before but planning on getting it in a few months and joining. What if u release something now from the vaults etc, will I miss it or will it be available when I join later? Thanks dude and NO don't beat yourself up for joining patreon. We want to support and contribute. It's another way of showing appreciation then buy your music!

Well there's no rush to get there, appreciate you checking the uploads and the comments etc anyway. There's no time limit on anything on the Patreon. Essentially you can even join for 1 month, grab whatever content is there, then cancel your membership (that's why payment upfront for each month is enabled). Obviously longer term support is always appreciacted, but I understand it's not the easiest times for anyone so wouldn't mind that. I will probably do more free bandcamp releases at some point, but I doubt there would be any coming up, just as I've got a few full releases I want to work on, alongside keeping things flowing on the Patreon!

The market based "private contractor" market has really screwed over people in creative professions. Under the guise of promoting "independence", music has been affected in much the same way as taxis vs Uber/Lyft. And it forces people to beg for donations to make it. Or "sell" yourself, promote, dabble in affiliate marketing, focus on your brand, etc, instead of spending your time on your actual art. I like Patreon because it directly connects the artists to their fans and gives us an opportunity to pay you for the value we get from your music versus feeling like an awkward charity or you having to sell us your favorite supplements.

It's definitely a tricky time for everyone I think. I'm still very fortunate to have such a large, supportive audience. Just aware that the world has changed a lot in the last few years, and just trying to offer something a little bit more for the fans whilst diversifying my own work, so it's not so dependent on one thing (i.e. music streams)!

I understand your frustration with all the fundraising in the recent years mate, as this is clearly an honest opinion of a normal person :) I agree on most of the points. But if someone puts themselves in your shoes, in the current situation, I`m pretty sure they`ll understand. Except if you don`t want to transfer to construction work :D Hope to see you in Bulgaria again soon :) Stay safe!

Yeah it's a way of trying to detatch from the normal album cycle way of working, as that's just becoming more of a headache when you're working by yourself. The keeping busy part is very important though, as since I've stopped really playing gigs and just write music, i've lost a bit of the fun. It's been nice doing the patreon as there is loads to do for it, but it's made the music making quite fun too!

@@phaeleh Yes, it is, although I think people should not be dependent on some web-platform, since we all have access to the web (as we speak). I would gladly simply support or get involved with my fav artists in music and design on their own websites. Though developing a website with subscription payments and such is quite an investment. I currently subscribed to a piano sessions because the guy offers MIDI files with his performances. Not perfect though as the hands are not on separate MIDI channels, but it is something. I would love to see some multi-tracks or re-mix ready sessions of your compositions\songs. I paid £40 for one such album session (multi-tracks + re0mix files) just as a hobby endeavour. Not on Patreon, directly on websites.
