True. I see what Anna means in this video. She has been on both sides. Now she doesn't think that luxury=all you want. But I am sure that if having choice to have her previous life vs todays's life Anna would mix it both. We should have ladylike behavior, manners, certain surroundings/people and at the same time true values are in priority. Nice video.

Thank you for this video. I'd like to share that my grandmother had little money. But she was the richest person I knew. She was loved by everyone and had literally hundreds of friends. She sewed her own clothes and was always beautifully dressed. Fabric was given to her or she bought fabric on sale or at clearance price. She always wore a brooch, her most expensive $10. Her makeup was from a drugstore. She grew her own vegetables and was an incredible Cajun cook. She also grew flowers from seeds and gave flower arrangements to everyone for their birthdays. She always had an open front door. All you had to do was knock, and she invited you in for a cup of coffee and cake. She would educate herself by reading her neighbors' newspapers a day or two after they were delivered. She didn't have a car, so she walked to church or to the store (but someone always scooped her up for a ride). She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Being poor is a state of mind. She was not poor at all, but extremely rich. She lacked for nothing. As a young boy, I always aspired to be half the person my grandmother was. Confident. Being happy with what I have versus what I don't have. My grandmother taught me to always leave the house "put together". That doesn't mean expensive or designer, just well dressed. After all, she said, looking classy doesn't require spending a lot of money. She was way ahead of her time. Recycling and repurposing second-hand clothing, furniture, and items for her home. Her house was very warm and welcoming. She had a beautiful yard... reviving plants that people would throw away. She was a wonderful dinner party host because she had fun and believed nothing is perfect, so she had a very laissez faire attitude. I miss her dearly, and I am the man I am today because of her. I've never felt societal pressure to be anything other than my grandmother's grandson. I've often heard that money doesn't buy happiness. My grandmother is a testament. Thank you again for this video.

I can relate. Eventually, the mansion becomes a place to live, the Bentley becomes a car, and the international trip becomes a nice getaway before you have to return to reality. Eventually, you realize that Jesus is the only thing that actually matters in this life. Nothing else will satisfy you or fill the void in the way that He will. With the Lord, you can be homeless and without food, and still feel like the richest person on the face of this earth. Repent and be saved.

Money is not inherently bad. It is people’s intentions with it that can be bad. Everything you buy has a designer. So if you’re shopping from SHEIN, Nike, TEMU, old navy, Zara, or others similar at all, you are not as high and mighty as you’d like to believe. You support unethical corporations who rely on very poor children to do all the work. There is a middle ground for everything buy from small ethical shops and second hand or no buy. Most people do not need new clothes every year.

Very quickly this extreme box thinking of what and who is elegant destroys peoples individuality. It’s elegant to stay true to yourself and work on yourself in more areas than appearance & outer things. Not too long ago I had a very similar realization. I think the key is actually skill oriented hobbies and creation because there is only so many countries to visit, cuisines to try and so on. There is a limit to exploration, entertainment, relaxation being fulfilling. It is why playing an instrument, making art, dance, martial arts, breeding dogs and so on are important. A full life that is balanced always has a type of work in it even if it is not monetized in any fashion.

I totally agree. Regardless of how you're dressed, your sensibilities and personality will still come out. So sometimes it seems inauthentic when people get dressed up in extremely elegant costumes or clothing for a fancy party or whatever and then the conversation doesn't elevate with the wardrobe. Years ago I had a friend who lived in a really beautiful historical house and she said that living there made her want to be better because it reminded her of a classier time. She didn't want to be vulgar while living in such a historic house. I think you can show class and elegance by the way you carry yourself and not just through clothing or lifestyle. I love beautiful clothes, but as they say, "Clothes don't make the man" -- and they don't make the woman either.

Hi Anna! I have to say, I have always been aware of the BS and when I watched your channel I was like "oh gosh, why do I like her so much if this world of luxury is not whay I aspire to", and now, with this video, I realized I watched not because of the content itself, but because of you. Even when I thought the subject itself was not my cup of tea, there is something about you that always felt... Genuine. And I thought to myself "even if we are in such different worlds, I feel like she is a good person and someone I would like to hang out with if we met in real life". This video came to enlighten me as to why. Thank you for being you, as always ❤

👑Anna, this video is about True Luxury. Luxury is not having to be under the yoke of someone else's expectations but to live a life with true meaning, purpose, and authenticity. This is when you know you have 'made it' when you can see through the smoke screen and the illusion and be unapologetically yourself. To realize you were valuable, as yourself, all along. I am happy for you. You set the tone and set the expectations on who you are and who you choose to be from now on. This is very powerful. This is why I believe that this video is what luxury is all about. Luxury starts within. Sometimes people have to take the journey externally first with 'things' that make them feel luxurious. Then they realize their true value lies within. Who they came here to be. Thanks so much and I am grateful you have arrived here now. Knowing your true worth and value and being authentically yourself is truly living in luxury. I am grateful you will share this with the younger audience as well.

You are starting to realize what's really important Anna. I grew up in the countryside I have figured out that I can be many things not just one thing. I cab be outside working in the garden, taking care of animals, fishing and being a dirt covered girl one minute then the next dressed in a ballgown or out in a fancy restaurant (if I want to) I enjoy traveling to different countries and one of the most important things of all I don't waste time or energy on people who I don't want to be around. I love my husband and my family I don't need fake or flakey friends. I never wanted brand names or to "fit in". Be you no pressure!

How refreshing to hear this evolution. I lived in Dubai off and on for five years; traveling between my cottage in Indiana, Spain, and the Middle East. I grew up in Chicago in a working class family. We were not wealthy, but our parents exposed us to culture, food, and languages. My father often took Wednesdays off to take us to museums. We went for day trips out of the city to the country. My point is, that real class cannot be bought. Class, dignity, a curious mind and politeness are not purchased. These virtues are cultivated much like a beautiful and functional wardrobe. I have learned so much from you Anna and I admire your honesty and frankness. I find you to be dignified, classy, and interesting. You’re a true inspiration and very courageous. Well done! Anna.

Later in my married life having to accompany my husband to show and film business do’s. That was all about selling yourself and hearings the same stories over and over. 3. Living in the country and if you didn’t have a recognisable blood line with a heap of connections no one was interested in anything much else. Society is very over rated and talking about things instead of people, how well I am doing, how I am going to make my next million and who I am related to only goes so far. No wonder the RF give each other silly presents at Christmas, they must have heard everything by now!

All you really have, Anna, is time, it's totally precious. I grew up surrounded by famous, affluent people, as my father was immersed in California politics and business. It gave access to the wealthy businessmen, famous politicians and casual interaction with movie stars and other high level performers on a day to day basis. If you came from a modest background, hanging out with "glamorous" people is naturally aspirational. My sense is the parties become dull and repetitive, the events rather boring, and the people, occasionally interesting, often very ordinary and now and then outright narcissistic and destructive. Power and money does not necessarily make people nice and nor gracious. My mother is a Swedish Finn, so you may know this saying, "The rich live in fear, the poor live in hope." All the best from Santa Barbara!

I have been doing my inner work and have healed from trauma and feel fully free. I don’t worry about what others think anymore , let them have their opinions. As a child, I could sense they looked down on us, and I wasn't impressed. You're right, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I'm 71, happily married and living in a one-room cabin; I couldn't be happier. Material possessions and high society left those family members unhappy. Said folks didn't enjoy spending Christmas with us; I always sensed we weren't good enough. I was wrong; they weren't good enough. My Mum was a wonderful, warm, humorous woman and caring hostess. Life really comes down to the simple things and the people who love you.

Your content, while lovely, at times felt a bit shallow. Elegance is important, but without other interests, goals, experiences, aspirations, ambitions, heck, HOBBIES- it can appear empty. As if you’re living solely for the sake of others approval, rather than for yourself. I feel like you’ve expanded your world view, and desire to work not just on elegance, but on ALL aspects of yourself - in a manner which exudes elegance without killing yourself to obtain it. If you truly have a passion for luxury goods and lifestyle that’s one thing, but when I realised how the quality and experience of those things really wasn’t worth the hype I was expecting, I stopped making it a goal to reach for (unless something comes up that is genuinely worth it!). I would much rather spend my money and more importantly, my time on people and things that genuinely mean something to me, not just lining the pockets of already wealthy people who aren’t always even giving you a great product in the first place.

You have shown your true self, which is lovely. Thank you for taking the risk. It's a breath of fresh air. I hope you will continue to share as you feel comfortable.

This is why I always followed this channel simply for elegance tips. Never got sucked into the affluence. Authenticity, simplicity and personal aspirations independent of what society promotes is what matters most. I will never allow big brands and stars to define what happiness or success are and I certainly don't see the allure in glitz and glamor at my age. It was a thing in my teens and my twenties, then I realized that there's so much more and I'm thrilled to see Anna addressing this.

Anna, I have been following you since you started this channel. I turned 26, and things changed quite a lot for me. I have always had dreams of entering high society, but now I just want true connections, a fulfilling career path, and just enough money to live a happy life. It's good to know that I am not the only one ❤

I was thinking how to write this comment without sounding critical... I think that the main difference is the fact that when you grow up in wealth, the things that "show off the wealth" don't matter, because you don't need to prove anything to anyone (some people are like this when they earned their wealth, don't get me wrong). The wealth is peace, sending kids to good schools and having good group of friends who can enjoy the same good things in life. "instagram-like" wealth is for sure fun, but who really needs to know where you eat and who you party with? Naturally, it will mean different things to anyone. I'm happy that you started to ask questions Anna!

I took one of your courses and I was thinking the exact same afterward. Networking & partying with fake people is so draining for me. Having lots of designer items and clothing creates too much clutter and becomes a mental burden.

Health and good relationships are the real wealth. Money is a tool that can be used to create a more comfortable lifestyle and to have more time to do things we enjoy (if spent wisely). Congratulations, Anna. I am so proud of your journey 🥳😘🤗

She may be growing personally - however the TRUE purpose of this is her RE-branding, with a PODCAST format. Like everyone is doing. A rebranding. Too bad it’s no deeper than that.

Because Switzerland made her realize in this Switzerland culture is people don't breg about money luxury life styles they live in a humble that is disrespectful to the culture. Swiss people are different than British Americans and other Europeans 🇪🇺 they do not show off if you come and start showing off they will look at you poorly here this is why her mentality is also changing I think she had this pressure living in United Kingdom but also a lot of insecure people behave this way all about luxury and etc... confident people like myself we don't even waste 5 minutes of our time on this because we value ourselves usually people that have poor self esteem.
