Why I haven't been Camping much...

Ойын-сауық

I've been asked a lot why I haven't been camping much over the past few years. So I thought I would make a dedicated video explaining why...

Not that I really wondered, but it’s nice that you’ve shared. As you say, we’ve all gone through Covid and it’s affected everyone. Your content has evolved, expanded in a very natural way. I’ve loved the woodland content, the backyard playhouse builds with your Dad for your daughter as well as your camper van videos. Just be you, enjoy your beautiful family and keep making the content that you’re passionate about, that will always hold an audience. Cheers from the US, Mike. 😊 ❤

You see Michael there are many, many videos on KZread that do similar content, camping, building, woodland management, remember you are the reason why your subscribers love YOUR videos! We want to interact with you! The explanation of where you have been proves you care about others. So I, like so many others will look forward to your next videos, what ever you choose. Congrats on your move back home and your growing family. Oh……say hi to dear old Dad for us! Love from your followers here in USA! Thanxz

This is by no means common sense - only those who know him really well/have been watching for a long time could've understood that he moved house, had kids, and, as a result, had less time to travel and camp. Think you need to re-evaluate what 'common sense' means.

As a subscriber of less than a year, I'd like to mention that I like your new content! I subscribed just at the time you bought the woodland, and I've loved this series. Camping is great, but now that niche is no longer a niche and there are so many videos out there. But I haven't seen anyone else doing the woodland management like you are. Please don't apologize for being who you are and for evolving. I like watching because of you, and to be honest, (just for myself, I don't know about others) but I'm not interested in watching how to build another fort-type dwelling. I can go back and watch your old ones if I want to.

I became a dad with our 1st in 2019 and it changes everything. Absolutely everything. For people with a standard 9-5 job, it's tiring, but doable. People have been doing it for a long time. There are systems in place for people with normal work hours, but youtube is an animal that always needs feeding. It really is a double-edged sword that has provided you with success and the freedom to create what you want and enjoy, but also has given birth to this animal with an insatiable hunger. I'm 32 and a dad with a wife and a mortgage. I, as well as the majority of your audience, understand and realistically think you don't have to apologize for having a life outside of youtube. Enjoy your family, enjoy the content you make, and enjoy life. Thanks again to you and your dad.

Super fan here. As the mother of 4 grown children, I totally understand your viewpoint. Do what feels right for you. I'm not personally a fan of the van camping, I prefer the outdoors and the wildlife, but I don't expect you to change plans for me. I enjoy YOU. I love the way you care about the woods, about the wildlife, about your viewers. One question. Do you plan to do more collaboration with Dustin on Bushcraft Tools? Last time I saw you together you were planning a project? No apologies. This fan from Iowa, USA will remain super loyal. Peace.

Three words that will resonate with all parents: Children change everything. Life happens while you're making plans, and children come first always. Time with your children is never wasted, and everything else is secondary after your family, including your viewers. Keep being a good father and husband and son, and everything else will come as it should. Keep up the good work and good life.

A healthy work/family balance is necessary for all of us and I’m happy you realized it before you just burned out and disappeared from KZread. It’s so weird how we feel we ‘know’ the people we follow when we actually don’t-and it really is none of our business about your life outside of the virtual world. Having only found your channel during the lock down. (I think your pallet shack/shed build or the one where you spent a night in it was one of the first videos I watched). The lack of a certain content didnt bother me as much personally. I knew you had very young children so it was kind of expected that some things would be dialled back or videos would be fewer and far between for a while. There is honestly no need to apologise. When you have kids, they become your priority in life and everything else gets put on the back burner. Meanwhile I've been hanging out with your Dad at TAFishing. He reminds me of one of my mentors when I was much younger who introduced me to fishing.

What i admire about your videos is you dont do click bait stupid "i lived on one banana in a hole in the ground for a month." What you say is what we see . I watch the videos of you and dad when i feel down because the love and respect you show for each other makes me smile. Never let a job, or an algorithm come beforespending time with your family your children will grow so quickly but the memories you create with them will last beyond your own lifetime so i am glad you are taking the time to build these memories.

Real Life comes First Mike nothin you can do about it. As I tell some of the streamers I mod for on twitch.... FAMILY AND HEALTH ALWAYS COMES BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE. Plain and Simple.

Mike you have no need to apologise mate, life moves forward and your family has to be your priority. As for different content on your channel this too is a good thing, variety keeps you interested as well as your viewers.

Great you've shared.. When you become a parent everything changes, if you care! Sacrifices are made, if you care! Sometimes we have to give up things we want to do for the benifit of the family team! Such a humble approach which personally I think speaks volumes about you as a person and your family. Our life changes at each stage and it often un-nerves me, so keep at it, get ready to improvise, overcome and adapt! All those years of wild camping will prove a useful skill set in coming years 😉 Keep well bud & love to Fam 👍

Should add you've done the right thing, once it's gone it's gone... They will grow up and lead their own lives too soon... Plenty of time for the great 'come back' 😉😂👍

You turned into a dad, that means you changed your life. i love the new content. Now introduce them to the woodlands but hide their faces; let them have a childhood.
