It puzzles me these days why most people get sucked in the what we are told this is how you should live life, as life is controlled some may not see it , spend spend spend, nice things 3+1 kids money makes the world go around but it also destroys the planet and makes life stressfull and you work for everyone else as all your money goes out . @@marktwain-ik6vp sorry but I think you’re half wrong. Mushrooms made me (and plenty other people I know personally) ‘realise’ things. Once you ‘realise’ you don’t have to think a certain way or do a certain thing, you can’t un-realise it. It becomes part of you immediately. Imagine trying your whole life to solve a puzzle. Then one day you find how it works. You can never not be able to solve it again. It becomes instantly easy. No matter how many decades it took. Mushrooms made me realise I gave my trauma and depression its power over me by thinking about it all the time. I realised I could just never think of it again. And I haven’t since. It’s like that part of my brain had all connections to it, broken. One of my trips was me holding a door closed while monsters and demons were banging on the other side. I was exhausted from holding it closed my whole life. Mushrooms bust the door open and through it came nothing but peace and love. I didn’t even feel stupid that I wasted my whole life holding those things back. I just felt so relived.

There's nothing fair about it mate. Its dangerous living in a vehicle especially for women. I remember reading stories like this about people in America living in campervans and cars, crying that they had no life, washing and going to the toilet in McDonald's. But American has been a basket case society for a 100 years because of the J's and what they have done to their banking system. Migrants from Africa and India have now taken this mans home and you try to normalise it. That's sick and twisted.

I enjoy camping and was very interested in the video, why hot tenting sucks. i think it applies to campervans too. If I do one day, will replace the stove, kettle, fridge with a tour bike and lots of panniers. Therefore travel a lot more on bike instead of wasting petrol.

When we have only what we need, simple things become pleasures, some things are harder but not insurmountable and when we overcome them, it’s a great feeling. I had to watch this video again and im thinking about it myself to be honest I live in wales renting a housing association property and even council rental properties arent that cheap anymore not when you add up council tax and all the other bills on top This man keeps things simple and straightforward I think i will start looking into this myself i dont want a van thats done over 100 thousand miles though living this lifestyle i would save myself easily 8 or 9 grand a year

Go for it you got one life and it passes so quickly. The governance nothing better than to have thousands die before they have to pay out your pension to you. That's why they are increasing the age of getting pensions to make people die before they should due to hard work and high pressure of trying to live.

thanks for uploading. Been thinking about this for some time now. Ive been living with my partner now for 8 years but it's coming to an end. Been sleeping in my van now for months outside her house. We are basically friends now co parenting out pet dog. I'm 54 now and feel that in too old to move on. So glad it's working for you. it gives me inspiration to take the jump and do it myself.

Godspeed Mark, you're living the life as it should be - out and about and free. Learning to be self-sufficient and putting aside 'materialist' things, is not something many people can ever get used to. More power to you.

One of my colleagues at my previous job in a warehouse lived in his van. He could park in the employee car park during work shifts and afterwards would find somewhere quiet to sleep. The only thing he couldn't do was shower so he used work shower at the end of a shift and on days off would use a leisure centre. He also does car washing on days off. He has a fridge and cooking facility and bed so he can get by without eating out all the time . I don't know what his reason for van life is but he is happy enough.

I'm currently building a house mostly on my own and live in a caravan. At first I thought it would be crap, but now a year later I love it. Cant say that for the house. I totally get the van life concept. A bit of hardship is a small price to pay for jettison all the stress that goes with the traditional system. Props to you!
