WHY I decided to go to an expensive AF private for profit nursing school in California

Hey y'all, I actually filmed this video a month ago but I've been soooo busy and hadn't had time to edit and upload until now so here ya go! Currently in my second term of nursing core so pray for me guys lol.
A lot of people ask me how my husband and I justified taking out a crap ton in student loans to go to WCU (west coast university) for nursing school, so here is how I conservatively crunched some numbers and it made sense to me. Holla if you're not down for spending 2+ years on a waitlist at community college lol
As always you can always comment if you have any questions or email me!

But you brought up good reasons why you chose to go that school and I didn’t feel alone. I bet it was really worth it. Please do a video on the Loan process and which Loan lender you went thru

I agree 100% in regards to the time. The cost of losing time with your kids isn’t worth it! I took all my prerequisites at a cc college and then bombed on the Teas😭 so we decided we’re going to bite the bullet and go to WCU. I done being in school, I want to have a fulfilling career and be very present with my kids. I’ll start WCU in Jan 2022. How much do you end up paying total after fasfa? Did it help to have kids in lowering to overall tuition?

Beauty Journey try Cal State Long Beach. There is no wait list you can get in with a possible score of 90% on the teas exam and 3.9 gpa. You could also try Cal State Bakersfield. If you don't have the grades try West Los Angeles College. I got in to CSULB as a transfer student and wasn't waitlisted.

Unfortunately both community colleges I went to - all main classes everyone needs (sciences, etc) were filled within the first or second registration groups and I was like the last or close to last group that got to register AKA meaning I had to take a bunch of classes/electives that did not matter just to get a good enough priority to register for said classes... I've heard of other cc's in more rural areas that don't have that issue but no where near me

The homeless in many states probably from Florida + other nursing schools/highway robbery. Please no one attend ICHS international college of health sciences in Boynton Beach (acen accredited). 90% student body are from California and unaware of battles & scheming that awaits. Spread The Word. 100s don't pass exit exam each semester and held there much longer than anticipated. "Contracts" change every semester. With that $$ you can move to any state's community college!! Where goes the money ICHS?? Barely a campus. Little clinical site availability. Students pay proctor most exam. On campus testing is another nightmare. Exams questions completely random and each is at least 30-45% grade. Staff are 'fired' and rehired rotating positions constantly. Staff death from overdoses and fired for sexual favor 'rumors'. Even 'rumor' of students suicides. (I guess death happens in hospitals too, it's just preparation) Unable to reach staff by phone, email, or in-person and so many LIES. Family&friend-run business racket. Somehow does DeSantis benefit?!

Maybe say "my loan went through" rather than saying "[I] got accepted into nursing school." Getting into a CC or CSU is a big accomplishment. Lots of young moms sacrificed time with their kids to get good grades and graduate from CCs with ADNs. Get good grades people so you can attend any school you want rather than playing mind gymnastics as to why you're shelling out 140k lol

wow. this post is so mean. If people have the means for private school no shame in getting it done! CSU schools are so competitive only a small percentage of people who apply get in and I'm taking in the 4% range... its an accomplishment to get into nursing school PERIOD! also, there aren't many hospitals in CA that will hire ADNs unless they sign a document committing to getting their BSN within 5 years... I had great grades 3.8 pre prereq and 3.7 overall and did not get into a SINGLE CSU!! don't knock people down for no reason...

Nothing is easy even if you have the money, WCU doesnt even let you in without taking the TEAS, also if your not aware, nursing school is HARD, its not free, good grades are not given to you. your not paying for a degree to do less work, your paying for the TIME to complete it, it is a accelerated program.
