This place has a really positive vibe. You _first students_ will partly be responsible for the academic rigor that can be achieved at U of Austin. So if you want your degree to be worth a lot, work HARD and make your professors take you up the learning curve as high as you can go in the time that you have. Make the most of it! Good luck!!

That looks much closer to the best idea of what a university should be. It will be far better for the students. They'll have a much better education and experience than those that attend compromised institutions.

It is very heartening to see so many young people yearning for real education, critical thinking and debate. University campuses have been so overwhelmingly dominated by Marxist activism over the last 40 years that they are no longer universities, they are indoctrination factories churning out drones. To go against the grain and ask questions and challenge yourself is a very brave and powerful step. It’s what we used to expect from a university education. That was the point of it. Well done young people you give me hope Love, a classically liberal, left/right/centre/everything on its merits/no subject is taboo Gen Xer.

Good luck to you. Put in more effort than you think you can. Your success will help bring forth others later. Understand that, while UATX is the best environment, it falls short of its stated ideals. But at least it has them.

So are there going to be any STEM degrees? Like Synthetic Chemistry, doctorates in Physics, a Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering? Or just degrees for podcasters like Talking about Sexual Differences and Judaism?
