Unpopular opinion : Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa are overrated. Update: okay, hear me out youngins. Saying that someone is overrated doesn't mean that they are untalented. Dua has a great voice and Ed can write wonderful songs, BUT the hype that they get isn't equivalent to how great their artistry is. Like, please, Dua has 0 stage presence. Have you seen her on stage? Mediocre. And Ed Sheeran can write and play instruments, but his voice is pretty basic and just because someone was homeless it does not automatically transform them into Frank Sinatra, but I guess that's just what I think. Also for those who say that It Is PoPuLaR, when I wrote this comment, it wasn't. People were going grazy over "new rules" .

Yo tbh I think the Grammys were just too biased. None, and I mean NONE of the artists that deserved a Grammy (looking at Lorde, SZA, and Lamar) got one. They just gave rewards to the people who got rewards last year. Not only are the Grammys biased, but I also recognized that every single pop radio channel plays the same music every time. Nothing artistic like Lorde, and Kesha and Gaga’s new album songs. All in all, I feel like music in this era is just repeating, and any artist that wants to make diverse sounding songs is just ignored.

Mx Rg the debut part of best new artist should solely be about their musical debut not attendance or nomination. I know in the past they’ve put ppl in that category who had been out years before being nominated but most of them were beat by ppl who were truly artist with debut songs/albums. Alessia should’ve been nominated 2015/2016. I mean she didn’t even release an album or a SOLO song last year

Can I just say I really disliked one direction. However, when I heard music from harry styles I was so very pleasantly surprised! I love his style of music. When I first heard Sign of the Times I was honestly addicted for a little while. I loved the majority of the album he released.

Joanne by Lady Gaga was by far one of my favorite albums from Gaga. I feel like she poured her heart and soul into that album (not saying she didn’t in her other albums) Lady Gaga was definitely misunderstood, and deserved to win. Also, Bruno Mars is a genius when it comes to music.

I think Khalid is okay but i think WE ALL know he didn't deserve 5 nominations

that was once one of the requirements, but not anymore (meghan trainor won this award and was nominated twice the year before. now the requirement is not winning). but you have to both release work and go mainstream via your work during the eligibility period, and you also can't submit work to the category for more than 3 times.

I’m far from a Trump supporter, but celebrities are the last people who should be slamming him tbh. As an industry, Hollywood is on the same moral level as Trump and his administration as far as I’m concerned. Also I enjoyed the singles off Bruno’s album as much as the next guy, but it did not deserve a win in every dang category. SZA, Lorde, and Kesha (and Harry!!!) got snubbed and Childish Gambino should’ve won in more categories.

I went to look up the winners online and... the alternative category was there, having both Fall Out Boy AND Twenty One Pilots (my two favorite alternative music groups) in there! Argh! Alternative NEEDS more appreciation!

I think Alessia deserved the award. It’s not about her own albums and records. It’s about the talent, and the effort she makes to write and record every song. For example, could you imagine Stay being in Top Charts and sounding so beautiful without Alessia? I couldn’t, honestly. Even though she is underrated, she is an amazing artist, she definitely deserves more recognition, and deserves to win (maybe) The Artist of the Year, in the future.

Childish Gambino/Kendrick were robbed of best album. 24k was indeed a safe choice.

That outro was a good call. Lorde should have gotten the best album in my opinion. The sound of Melodrama was very colorful and fun and new and unique yet emotional at the same time. She really got me right in the feels with this album. I frickin love Lorde so much

You know it's really Selena who sounds like Julia right? Julia wrote a major part of Selenas latest hits and her album "Revival" were she suddenly had that "new" whispery more unique sound. BECAUSE Julia wrote the songs, so Selena listened to Julias demos and started to mimic her way of singing. Love your videos, just thought I should point that out! Julia should've won that!

In that case, it only means everyone wants to work with her BECAUSE she is a hit (Making a lot of money), not because she actually good. Being a hit doesn't mean you're good, it just means a lot of people have bad taste, and it appeals to the lowest common denominator. Body like a backroad is one of the worst country songs ever made, but that was #1 on the country board for 34 weeks. It just show that a lot of people have shitty taste.
