I’m sorry you went through that

I grew up in Africa and live in Europe, as a child I wasn't only my mum's responsibility but the whole family and community. So we are not individual societies

That’s because she’s African and has been raised to have a community mindset. So it’s not surprising that she continued to live like that even when she moved to Europe.
