Thank you for making this. When on placement, how many days a week are you usually there? And is it a full day?
Hey, it depends. At one point it was 3 days a week because I was doing 2 placements at the same time (one online and one in person) but because of client availability, I had online clients on 2 different days. But right now I’m only doing 1 placement and I have 3 clients so I’m only there for 3 hours and I stay to make notes etc. So placement will normally be just one day and how long you’re there depends on how many clients you have, this should normally be between 3-5 clients in a day
Love your vids, can i just ask when you did your diploma, did you have an entry test just to test how well you understand the style youll be studying etc and did you get through first time. It took me 5 😂 5 times lol.. And can I just ask once you're full qualified how much do you expect to charge an hour❤❤
Hey, thank you! I didn’t have to do an entry test, I didn’t know there was one lol. Once I’m qualified, I’m not 100% sure but it will vary for different groups of people so anything between £30-£50 when I’m starting out
@@ceethecounsellor it was a test to see if you could reference etc a certain style eg harvad style ..before you got on the course. You could do it however much times you could till you passed, then your able to start the course and 30 to 50 an hour isn't bad at all..how much clients do you realistically expect to average or do a day
@optimisticrealismx5829 that’s interesting, this is the first I’m hearing of it. Thank you for sharing and I’m not sure yet, but I don’t see myself having more than 6 clients in one day and I will have certain days where I’m off too
@@ceethecounsellor oh good for you, 😊 thanks for your help, videos are very helpful too
@optimisticrealismx5829 you’re welcome, I’m glad you’ve found them helpful 🙏🏾
Stupidest degree in history..😊
Is this fund just for a degree level or can it be applied to courses in counseling in colleges. So I'm applying to heartwood counselling psychotherapy college
Hi, I can’t remember but it should be stated on their application or website. I think it usually for university courses
Do they cover the whole course fee? Or just a certain amount?
I think it’s the whole course fee
I’m going to do a level 3 foundation course and then moving to a level 4 diploma. Are there any books you can recommend while I wait to study next year ?
Hey, I have some listed in this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/qIObyqyBocufnNo.htmlsi=4A2rds7pbGVSaXZw I hope it helps
Thank you soooo much ❤❤
@user-qd5fy9ps1v you’re welcome
Did you level.4 or just level.3 counsellor diploma.. andvwhat is the pay range in jobs for this. I'm going to do this course from home
I did a level 3 counselling diploma and then did my masters which I’m finishing this summer. The pay will vary depending on your experience and the job. Starting salaries for therapists will be around £23-£30k but can increase as you grow in experience and depending on the demand for that job
@ceethecounsellor oh good for for you girl. that's what im doing what was your time scale for level.3 completion
Thanks I'm.starting this course from home and then will go on to level 4.
That’s amazing, I wish you all the best! 🙏🏾
@@ceethecounsellor thank you so much.
❤❤❤
So helpful as I’m thinking so rigidly about what pathways are available from studying counselling but this has made me more open minded about what other careers might be just as fulfilling other than becoming a therapist!
I’m so happy to hear that, I hope you find the right path for you!
Thank you for all the information! Very in depth! This has given me a very broad understanding in several areas of psychology.
You’re very welcome kristina😊. Thank you for lovely comment
Do they fund undergraduate degree in medice
They fund any degrees as long as they are in the UK
I'm a graphic designer debating starting training to become a counsellor. I'm worried about whether I am jumping from one bad industry to another. This video was helpful.
No it’s not, a lot of people come into counselling from a wide variety of careers. You can study counselling on the side while maintaining your current career and you can see if it’s for you without having to drop your job. The classes are usually once a week, and for a few months so it won’t put too much demand on you. Thank you for watching, glad you found the video helpful!
Thank you for the video. Can I please have your email address
It’s always in the description box of every video [email protected]
I agree same thing happen to me back home
I’m sorry you went through that
Can I get loan from lendwise of studied if am going to study in another country other than the UK?
Hi, no I don’t think so. The course has to be in the UK
Great video. Very helpful for me
Thank you so much! I’m glad it was helpful
How much is study material for international students for Masters
There’s no specific budget, it just depends on what kind of material you want.
I am taking my very first counselling elective course and your videos make things more easier for me. Thank you :)
Aww I’m so glad! Thank you for your comment
Hi Cee! I'm a future therapist/counsellor (maybe) and I'm looking for any advice or recommendations about next steps. Essentially, I've just fished my counselling skills course, and I loved it, but I think I would like to explore different avenues and improve some skills (communication skills) before committing to the diploma program. I am aware that there are shorter (not properly accredited) courses available, and volunteering over the phone with companies like Samaritans. There's also the option of working towards getting a degree, or trying to get a mental health related job? I'm just looking for any ideas that would help improve my counselling skills, and just general mental health knowledge. If you have any recommendations based on your own experiences, I would greatly appreciate your help. I understand that ultimately, the decision rests with me, but I'll value any suggestions you have. Thanks👍
Hey Kieran! Congratulations on completing your course 👏🏾. I think you could volunteer with a helpline like the Samaritans etc to help you improve on your counselling & communication skills for sure. If you want mental health experience, working in a mental health hospital might be helpful as a HCA but from experience, you won’t get to practice counselling skills much, but you could get to work on your communication with patients. But either way, as you progress through the counselling courses, your communication and counselling skills will also improve naturally even if you don’t do the volunteering or anything else. If you choose to do a masters, such experience will come in handy and increase your chances of being accepted onto the course however.
@@ceethecounsellor Thanks Cee 👍
@kieranwhite4856 you’re very welcome
Hello Cee. Pls i need books on compassionate focus therapy for BDD for adolescents . Could you recommend some please.
Hi, I haven’t read any books on that topic so I can’t recommend any, have a look around on Google and Amazon and go for ones with a lot of positive reviews
Thank you for your time. What is the best route for mental health nurses .
Hi, do you mean the best route to become a counsellor?
Good morning I'm an international student with an offer to study in the UK but not yet in the Uk, how can I borrow since I'm in my home country
Hi Daniel, you would need to have a UK bank account. I’m not sure how you can go about this but I’d recommend starting with a Google search or asking your university for guidance
Hi @danielikechukwu have you gotten it?
Fab video so helpful!!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it
Can an international student that want to study in the UK get the student loan from lend wise
Yes they can, as long as you have a UK bank account and proof of admission at the university you’re going to attend
How can I get a UK bank account?
I think as long as there are people on this planet, this type of job is demanded everywhere. Mental health is worse than ever!
Yeahh i definitely agree with you there! The demand is increasing so much!
Want to study psychology what do i do as a beginner. Do i have to study as a counselor first
You can just do an undergraduate psychology degree, you don’t need to do counselling, that’s a speciality you can do after psychology
hello,Cee can they fund for any country or only for UK?
I believe you have to have a UK bank account and a course that’s with a UK university
Thanks for the informative video. I am an Australian, mid 50's and have been out of work over a decade. I have fallen back on my feet and wanted to look for a way to make money online and do something I could be passionate about. I thought counseling would be a good match for me. I have looked at Masters in Counseling courses. Two years is doable. But now, upon further research, I see that a lot of online work requires experience, qualifications (that require experience, supervised counseling over many hours, face-to-face counseling over a number of years, full-time hours), meaning there are numerous entry-level challenges, particularly for anyone seeing counseling as a way to work online remotely. I don't want to embark on something that ultimately won't secure me work online and cost me a lot of money. I spend a lot of time abroad, hence why I am restricted to online work as the most realistic and suitable option for me. I am poised to apply for the course but holding off until I get feedback from others who were in a similar position, but have completed the Masters degree.
We love you 😊
Aw thank you so much! I love you guys 💕
Aww Chrissy, things will get better. It’s a lot on your shoulders right now. Just take time out for yourself and realise this will all be in the past 💕. This is your story my love ❤️

Good content, can I do CPCAB level 2 /3 and then bcap accredited for 4/5?
Thank you. Yes, you can do that
@@ceethecounsellor can I do the same with ncfe level 1 and 2 - thanks so much !
@siuuuuuuuuu1433 yes, as long as the course you’re doing is accredited, it doesn’t really matter which organisation it is (CPCAB, NCFE, BACP) etc.
Are any posts available for newly qualified counselors with a Level 4 diploma and a full psychology degree?
Hey, I’m not too sure about that because most roles I’ve seen require a masters or PhD. However, you could start a private practice
@@ceethecounsellor That's a crazy amount of academia Cee. Would it need to be a specific master's ?
@andic6676 it is definitely a lot. To become a counsellor, yes you have to do specific master’s
@@ceethecounsellor Our L4 tutor says you don't need a degree to be a counsellor...it is all really confusing. My degree will help, of course, but it is starting to look like an impossible mountain to climb.
@andic6676 your tutor is right, it’s not mandatory to have a degree but it does make your chances of getting employed easier because most places ask for a degree or masters or PhD. It just depends on where you want to work.
I applaud your achievements 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Aww thank you so much!
Hi Ceee , have you got a video on how much a level 4 counsellor can make ?
Hey, I don’t have a video on that
Hi Ceee , do you have a video on the potential earnings you could make and what band you will come out at ? Can you work for the NHS and Private sector ?
Hi, no I don’t have a video on how much you could make as a counsellor but I have a few videos on counselling jobs where you can see the salary of various counselling jobs. 1. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqKTvKqjZtS2qpM.htmlsi=0SIrHAh6EtGvKTaR 2. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hJ-ikqNwm9OZYqg.htmlsi=ehykOC1z2NRsMyax And yes, you can work for both the NHS and the private sector at the same time
Hi Ceee , what did you say at 1:45 ? 🥺
“I would encourage you to do personal therapy because it will help you to understand counselling a bit more”
Thank you this was really helpful
You’re so welcome! ☺️
Bursary not burzary, thanks
😂 that’s how it’s pronounced where I’m from
Not related to this video but I wanted to say thank you for all the info on this channel! I’m starting my L5 diploma next month and I’ve been so worried about it being a waste of money/time although it’s my dream job … but you’ve assured me I can definitely take this somewhere ❤
Awww thank you so much for your comment Becky. I’m glad you’ve found it helpful and I wish you the best in your level 5!! You’ve got this 👏🏾
Hello cee i have done my master's in psychology from India how can i become a counselling psychologist in uk kindly reply
You can apply for a masters degree in counselling psychology at a UK university
Hi Cee. Are nhs placement works provided to students in a BS degree in counselling too?
Hi, that would depend on whether your university allows it and if they are partnered with NHS services to give them placement students from your university. My NHS placement was on our university placement database and then I applied, that’s how I got the placement
Imagine how awkward it would be if a client layed down on the physio therapy bed 😅😅
Imagine that😂😂😂
Hi. I have a uk bank acct but want to study in canada can i get finance
Hi, I’m not quite sure. You may be able to but you can double check by emailing lendwise, it’s in the description box. Good luck
Okay thanks
@@annojetola4100 you're very welcome
in terms of BACP, once you have done your Level 4 diploma or an accredited masters, would you become a counsellor or psychotherapist. I know the BACP stand for British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, so are the two interchangeable in this sense? I find it confusing as the UKCP is for psychotherapists and is usually masters level and you choose a specific modality, but BACP I assume you also learn various modalities and can end up getting the equivalent hours to BACP. Sorry for the long message, I hope to apply to maybe the L2 diploma but I'm not sure is the right route to become a psychotherapist (but at this point don't even know the difference between that and a counsellor). Thank you so much, Bub :))
Hi Bub, once you’ve done level 4 or the master’s, you would be a counsellor and psychotherapist. The terms are quite interchangeable although they have small differences, but not so much that you can’t call yourself either one. What matters more is that your course is accredited. I have a video explaining some of the differences in the terms and you can see, it’s not that different kzread.info/dash/bejne/hZ5_2rmNebWXico.htmlsi=AB66hDls8CyMOYfp Starting at level 2 would be the right way to begin if you don’t have any prior experience in counselling, so go for it!
@@ceethecounsellor Thank you so much, that's really helpful!
