I couldn't agree more, MAMO! And the maintenance on pencils is far less expensive than cars! It's pronounced "Stuh-tz" Hupp Motors was here in Detroit. Most of the cars depicted on the pencils are from the 1920's, with the exception of the Thunderbird and Corvette, both of which came out in the early/mid-50's. I'd guess these pencils were made in or after the late 50's. These were fun pencils for the kiddos! Loved seeing these - thank you!!

I hoped you would chime in, with your auto manufacturing knowledge! If I had to guess, I'd place these pencils more in the sixties or even seventies, based on appearance (especially the ferrules). Thanks, Kevin!

Some great wisdom with this review. For me; at this point in time, I’ll best enjoy the cars parked safely on the pencils than I would the cars themselves. Fun Review!

At my age, a mid-life crisis is a rather distant memory, but you have convinced me that indeed I must have had one, because there was a time when I had thirteen kayaks. As one who has OCS--a feature, not a glitch--I am glad you have the whole set. Less would be harsh.

Baker's dozen kayaks? That is indeed a bunch. Planning to open a livery?

@ma-mo I did consider going into the eco-tourism business. But mostly they just carried my family touring a lake in a local park.

In 1985/86ish I had a pencil with a Porsche on it, and it was my favorite pencil. And I lost it. I got it in a gift (goodie) bag at a birthday party of a friend. My pal, Mike, was also at that party, so we remember it well. I remember that pencil often.

I shall keep my eyes peeled: nothing would please me more than to fulfill the shining 1980s pencil dreams of a friend.

I somehow missed this one. I don't think I would have sharpened one and left them collectable...but as a Beatles collector I don't use many items I get or open them. Have fun.

I wish I'd gotten into collecting pencils rather than flashlights. It may not be as expensive as collecting cars (god knows I'm still paying for my one Punto), but I've still paid a pretty penny for torches, batteries and chargers.

Do you follow todderbert's channel? He mostly reviews radios, but also flashlights; or at least he used to.

Sometimes one has to make sacrifices; fortunately it was not required in this instance. Thanks for watching and commenting.
