    guess its time to implement natural language processing into these games , I mean if your only input is text and lots of it , seems like the only logical option

  • @ScrollsAdventures
    @ScrollsAdventures2 жыл бұрын

    I feel like a lot of this could have boiled down to an peripherals problem. If your method of voting, aka playing the game, was to copy and paste a fast moving block of text in the chat, or manually type it out as spelling mistake zingers show probably happened, it makes sense that short/one word zingers would gravitate to the top. What if you gave the zinger submission process a little more time, and improved the voting method? Like, maybe make a twitter account for submitting zingers for all heroes (prior to preliminaries, so on one knows who's going to be in it). You would make a post explaining the rules and one post per hero as separate threads, and in the replies people could comment their zinger and like the ones they like most for that hero. Top three most liked become the three options, and you'd create a bot to skim those for all 32 heroes. Match ups are random, and you can still only vote once in chat, so it helps mitigate the imbalance if one tweet got way more likes than it's opponent, and combat a little of the bias of people liking as many zingers as they want for only heroes they like. Matches have 3 rounds, where the 3 zingers for each hero are displayed one at a time, randomly chosen to vs each other. Players can then vote 1 for the left hero's zinger, and 2 for the right. Best 2 out of 3 wins, but always show all 3 rounds for the chance of a perfect match and so chat gets to enjoy all 3 for each hero. For the finals, you could have something a little more tense, like displaying all 6 zingers at once. Players can still only vote once for this battle, but it's not just 1v2. It's 1a vs 2a, 1b vs 2b, and 3a vs 3b, one vote, one round, hero with the best 2/3 zingers wins. If you want to make things extra spicy, you could have the bot skim the 4th, 5th, and 6th most popular zingers for the finals heroes, or even pick those in the quarter finals, then 7th, 8th, and 9th for the semis, and then switch it up and get the 3 least popular ones for the finals (or up to 3 random zero likes zingers if there's a tie for 0 likes, which there probably would be). And if you're showing new zingers for each hero in the finals, the 1a vs 2a method above isn't needed any more, because it's all fresh. Just some design changes to consider, because this looks like it was really fun. I missed the actual tournament, but I was able to stop in briefly for the preliminaries and it was pretty crazy. I'd love to see another one, but with this peripheral problem fixed, so we don't just get 1 word answers so much. And if heroes is played out, you could always do something like pokemon, or action/fps game protagonists or something. A pokemon tournament like this would be a blood bath, even if you narrowed it down to final evolution, original 151 only, and I'd love the chance to see a match of Devil May Cry's Dante vs Master Chief. P.S. not gonna lie, I jumped when your lips moved in the beginning of the video. I wasn't expecting that.

    This was a popularity contest, not a tournament. Proof: "black" is not a reason Nick Fury could beat Superman. But is a reason why he would be liked more. Besides, it should have been Frozone vs. Nick Fury so we can see Sam Jackson fight himself.

  • @Arkios64

    @Arkios64

    Where in the tournament rules is it stated that this was a "can beat up their opponent" tournament? Such a tournament would be meaningless anyway, since it's either objectively definitive, completely up to which insane power ups you include, or, in all honesty, purely dependant on which one the writer wants to win; Superhero battles are purely decided by the writer.

    I commented during the livestream, but the fix to this would be splitting the vote system into 2: 1 system allows you to set the zinger, 1 system allows you to vote for the zinger, example: Type "set A Spiderman is super agile and quick!" to set a new zinger Type "vote A 2" to vote for Spidermans 2nd zinger This would have avoided a short zinger issue especially if there was a min character count.

    This is very unrelated to this video, but I wasn't sure who to share this idea with so I was hoping my favorite learning ai KZread could help 😂. Most learning ai as far as I know learn to preform actions what if they learning to remember instead. I will write an example of what I was thinking. -Feed in a sentence -It reads the sentence and uses only what it has learned to make a response. (Like normal learning to preform an action) -Then it has the option to save up to 5 numbers between 1-100k (used later) -Now it is given a response to its response. -It reads the response and uses what the response contains as data gets to choose if/what ones of the values to read from the 5 or less numbers stored before.(probably limit how many it can use) -It now chooses its response with the value it is given as both the sentence and the numbers it chose to use. -Then it has the option to make or edit up to 5 new numbers. It could change an old one or write a new one up to 5 times. These numbers are like the memories of the ai and they are limited to 5 memories stop it from trying to make too many numbers before those numbers even have function. Like if you hear someone say "Hi bro" and decided to try to store an entire life worth of complete random unrelated memories... 5 or less sounds alot more reasonable. After what would be a completely insane amount of training the ai should be able to carry complete conversion remembering subjects previously talked about. And possibly even making long term memories that could even include an ability to make up jokes. All of this is a personal theory. If you have read this I have taken up alot of ur time already could you possibly respond with yes if this is possible. 😂 I wouldn't know how to write it personally and the conversation data needed would be extremely hard to get, but the curiosity of not knowing if it is possible kills me.

    Maybe a type of ad-lib to form the zingers? less like fill in the blank and more like a phone's predictive text. You can take a handful of popular arguments from twitter or something for heroes as a reference. This seems tough to find a work around without getting rid of the idea because it's really is a cool idea! But with how persistent the internet can be I can still see people exploiting that. Still looking forward to see if this can work out though! Now that I think about it this seems like a pretty good bases for a jackbox like party game. If having it as a live chat game doesn't work out this idea should totally take that direction. This idea is really good and it would be a shame to see it not work out.

    On second thought, you didn't really cover graphics in detail (or I've yet to watch the videos in which you did). And explaning Nanite requires getting down to some technical details. And it may not be a video that works in the more common format of making a game and recording the process, but one that would require researching and putting it together in an entertaining and comprehensive way (and for tose without graphics background). And it may be too tricky or you may not enjoy it. However, if it does manage to work, you can make a series on graphics that people may enjoy.

    I'd say that this was a very successful app, it taught you that that 99% of your twitch viewers share one brain cell. Only joking but for real this channel has some very incredible projects. I came because I am interested in Machine Learning however I haven't seen anything on Machine Learning in a long time, I hope to see more about it in the future. Thank you for all of your hard work.

    You missed saitama, doctor manathan and the tick, it is the only plausible reason of its failure.

    Feel obligated to mention that anarchy and democracy are not at all at odds with each other and that anarchism is often concerned with issues like direct democracy or consensus decision making.

    Ah yes the mistake of trusting the internet, happens to the best of us. But I also think that a real reason was because one word answers are just easier. One solution could possibly be you give a few options of zingers? And people vote from a list? You could even just find debates online over which superhero is better and use those?
