Making A Game That Needs 50,000 Live Players
Ойын-сауық
Back in January I uploaded a live game that can be played by anyone, & any number of people, this is the story of how 50,000 live players worked together to beat this game.

@@Jabrils so how did you make a live game that thousands of players can play? Do you need a server so all the players can play? And does that server cost money? Or how does this work

Didnt think that the game would even end
i'm pretty sure that participating in this game got my account put on some kind of potential bot list on KZread Live, since we were just spamming the same messages over and over again. anytime i join a live stream on this account now, my messages are auto-flagged as potential spam and have to be manually approved by a mod. obviously this is super not your fault, but just an important fact to keep in mind if you're ever planning on doing this again

I’ve got to be honest the only thing I didn’t like about “Chicx makes history” is that it got me shadowbanned on YT stream chats, I have been unbanned but still I’m glad I participated

Awesome video man. You make game dev 10000x more cool.
ive been watching Jabril since like 2017/2018 I think. and he got me into game design and I actually major in that in college and graduated. Thank You Jabril!
I recently found your channel a few weeks ago And I love content like yours, and the documentary was sick keep up the good work
These videos are so well done
I was there while completing level 3. Feel so happy to be a part of it. Great game man!🙌
Awesome content as always!
to the person who has sponsor block and highlighted the sponsor at the beginning, thank you. i would never think that you could literally sentence mix using the plugin
I was there when the last level was finished. We had a brilliant moment where we figured out that spamming the instructions in the chat is the way to go for cooperation. I can't believe this was lost and didn't end up in the video. It could've saved humanity tbh.

Awesome! I remember how popular twitch plays were. I distinctly remember a twitch plays runescape that was constantly being banned for botting.
I love interactive livestream stuff, it's a niche concept that more people should be interested in developing games around!
This was tons of fun!
I was there in the first stream. It was painful, but the hope of a cool final product that you would eventually create kept us going. (Until you pulled the plug.)

I thought this would never come out. I was so happy to be there to participate.
This is awesome
I would like to see this concept applied to having to guide a mars rover
You're awesome dude.
I found JabrilsCPU once in a Twitch chat. Wasn't convinced it was him, but now I feel star struck.
I wish more streams were like this
I had the opportunity to cite your project before Twitch Plays Pokemon, simply because I was more familiar with your game and participated in the event, and I didn't know the outcome of Twitch Plays Pokemon and didn't know if it would support my point at the time.
I’m happy I was able to participate on this project.
i saw the anarchy/democracy bar at the top in the begging of the vid and got flashbacks to twitch plays pokemon
4:37 i fell in love with that face instantly lmfao
Great effort and results, we need more intelligence like yours
This is good!
Caught at 21 seconds, looks like tonight’s a lucky night!
might also be fun implement a sort of leader mode the leader can write messages or direction on the screen for people to orient themselves ^^ could also be connected with making money if the top dono is getting leader :P

this is a good idea
very cool, keep up the fun ideas like this, also next time your streaming, have a 4tb dump drive with video saving enabled for your stream to it in 2gb chunks [you'll get about 20-40mins of 720p video so you'll have a log, there's a bunch of software that does screen recording without hurting proformance, hope that helps
I played for like an hour, was really happy to see later we ended up beating it! Thanks for making it, gg!
That was a fun game!
Good job
7:20 I thought she was wearing a taco salad bowl at first
hah, I remember being apart of this and screaming PROGRESS!!!! whenever we hit the cube a tad bit closer into the hole xD
Really cool
i think to avoid things like forgetting to push the button and losing a few minutes with it you could ad quest like notes that tell the player what they still have to do.
Ma negga is back with another awesome video lol
This is such a awesome microcosm of how society works . Well done, I totally dig it.
now this is epic
7:07 shots fired xD
Doug Doug does some pretty cool twitch controls games
ehhhhh Jabrils love to see you again man!
wow this is insane
maybe a stretch goal: have multiple streams for multiple players in a chat controlled game
What an awesome game
I joined the stream for a little while and we attempted to get outside the map by going up and up and up. We got super high up
AHA! I found my name! 8 min, 59 seconds... fading into oblivion... right before Jabrils says "For shame..." ... Whatever, I'll take it. 2 interesting observations: 1. At one point on Level 3, the whole chat had the goal of the game figured out, but we had trouble staying in control because of momentum. Eventually, enough of those people lost interest and temporarily left, and enough new people came in who hadn't seen the other 2 balls go in, that the chat as a collective actually lost the knowledge of the purpose of the puzzle and had to re-learn it. 2. A lot of our information sharing was in the form of short slogans that one or several people would spam in the chat, things like "3 balls in 3 holes" and "Remember momentum."
This is one thing will unite humanity
This is pretty poggers
this is really interesting its like watching neurons [arrows] light up to send a signal and watching an action occur.
@cryptogames299
3 жыл бұрын
edit: the people playing are the nuerons the arrows are signals being sent and the ball a representation of the action/ move being done
level 3 the trolls take a nap the serious players never stop haha

Thanks for commenting this, because I actually wonder what is a good balance for music levels. I have 3 different sound systems & the music sounds higher or lower on all of them, I usually try to mix them for my headphones, but lately I want them to sound good on my studio speakers. Thanks for the feedback, are you using headphones or speakers?
My phone crashed twice just watching this
This reminds me of some of Doug doug's stream where he writes python that let's the chat play games, just like Your's!
I was there! It was chaos!

The amount of times I explained the process and the goals... and no one listened...
Cool experiment! Glad the chat managed to finish it in the end! Do you have any ideas for your next one? :D
Candy with chopsticks... a man of culture.
Notice how when the they beat the stream they had a much smaller amount of peeps in the chat, who I bet had been there for a long time. It'd be interesting if you added a game mode where viewers vote for select members to have anarchy mode and other viewers to have democracy mode and see how that plays out, like it could help weed out trolls from effecting anarchy so much maybe? Cool experiment!
best sunglasses ever
you should make this game so that it does 3 levels. Then after the third level it splits up the players into two groups. Each group is comprised of players that have been giving similar commands. then you could do another 3 levels and then split the two groups up again 2 more times, so now there are four groups or similar commanding players.
Were making history everyone!! These live stream are the first training grounds for humanity becoming a hivemind.

@StingerPhilip

@@captainjack6758 probably vr mmos focused on using the masses to solve problems? It's hard to say. I don't think anyone could guess. This kind of stuff wouldnt really start to happen for a least another hundred years. Probably when people don't need to drive anywhere anymore and work from home using their vr system.
Nice ;D
It probably just took that long because the trolls became bored after a few hours and left
love the way you eat and pretend you voicing over!!!!
I am procrastinating so much rn
