And people really expect her to be truly an angel? Whitney was innocent as a child just like us. People around her, including her family that mess up her life. She was REAL with her personality. Substance abuse disorder is a disorder. Most people that try drugs(including alcohol) once or a couple times don't get addicted, usually there is another underlying condition like predisposed genetics, trauma, and mental illness. Think of it as an unhealthy cope mechanism. The choice debate helps no one, but to shame and any good therapist will tell you shame is useless.

Dang that last thought question and answer from Diane and Whitney was perfect. "Don't pray for the drugs, leave the drugs out of it. Pray for me and for my soul.." My Dad has been a singer/musician his whole life and he said that Whitney had the greatest voice he'd ever heard. Nobody has yet to come along and come close. I agree.. #RIP

Whitney’s story always touches me. She was open and honest and fought hard. Drug addiction is a deadly addiction. Not everyone makes it out alive. And seeing the bond she and Bobbi shared .. I see why Bobbi struggled the way she did when her mom passed.

I was four years old when I first saw her, in the music video for The Bodyguard. I fell in love. Then all throughout my childhood was her downfall and her being the brunt of a crack joke. She a treasure. So honored to share the same lifetime as her.

Yeah. She was sexually abused in her childhood by almost all of her family, and then later being an adult she was abused again but emotionally by her Narcissistic Parents. I would not be surprised that Whitney was actually killed. Because, that’s what you get when you confront people who abused you… I was lucky, i survived. But then again, i am not singing genius, and do not make millions.

I almost broke when she asked Whitney where she saw herself in 10 years. 10 years from 2002, she was going to die. It’s so sad that things had to resort this way, and I just pray that she’s in a better place now.

Even in 2002 she was clearly DONE with her life as a pop star. She wanted a way out. Her only true happiness was her daughter - The way her face lights up around Bobbi Christina is undeniable. In a way, the fact she lasted another decade in the business was actually quite impressive. Showbiz took everything out of her, the drugs were not the root of the problem, rather they were a (admittedly very harmful) coping strategy, which is what addiction actually is. I am still sad she left us, but also happy she was here. I know at least she is finally at peace, free from all the burdens of this world. R.I.P Nippy, we still love you! ❤

I worked at the same hotel when she die i saw so many people running upstairs and i had no idea of what was going on until i ask my coworker what happened then the news break out😢 R.I.P. Whitney

There will never be another Whitney... she is truly a one of a kind woman.

I always said that smile was the devil himself...You can just see him emerge from her soul...She definitely struggled with good vs bad...

looking back at this interview almost 12 years.............. i can relate to Ms Houston, i struggled with my demons of cocaine use thru my 20's, ive been clean and free from it for 8 years now. She was def high in this interview

conseeker 102 : as ex user of coke(sober since 2013 :) That creepy smile of her, when asked her wich one of drugs influencing her most, that was a sign, people addicted Always deny that drugs has taken over them, Always talking side to side to avoid the real answer. Congrats! I currently struggle with addiction so please pray for my deliverance.

I think by the time she realized she truly had a problem it was to late. She confessed to Clive she was going to get her life back on track. Just sad! Wish she realized a lot earlier that her drug use was a huge problem. I miss her voice and singing live.

I started crying when her and her daughter started singing together.. it’s crazy how they are both no longer here on this earth with us... but it feels so amazing watching them through the screen .. because that’s how they were❤️🙏🏾 they were nothing but love . Regardless about what happened ,... they really did love one another

The saddest part is that she spent so much time making us happy; and she was never happy. It's sad that this is true of so many who entertain us.

2:02 That weird smile she made after she called herself the devil. That was the devil himself smiling. For that one second Whitney wasn’t Whitney. It’s unfortunate because she lost in the her battle against evil. And she was taken away by her demons which was drug addiction.

Yes!! If you slow it down you can even hear extra noice in the background... that was so creepy. She asked who is the biggest devil.. the demons came out and said “me” so scary!

Couldn’t have said it better myself @masterstepz9 ... so many people only believe what they can see and always think everything is physical but the devil is far from a physical person, it’s a spirit and we all battle some form of wicked like spirit or way, some people just allow to take control over them. That smile just creeps me out every time. And then when I take the spiritual understanding I automatically see the demon, she was so honest about the devil being her.. but her SPIRIT... some of us just have addictive spirits , weather the drug is a physical drug, men, women, ourselves and many more.. she was right when she said don’t pray for the drugs.. drugs don’t have power and the power we as individuals allow the drugs to have when we indulge in them.. pray for her soul to be stronger..

It’s so sad when Diane asked Whitney where she will be in 10 years.. 😪Then to see Bobbi Kristina knowing they are both gone... such a tragic loss. 😪😪😪

I think she was answering the questions in a creative way to basically protect herself. She knew her behaviour was an issue and she knew that God loved her. May she rest in peace. Addiction is a complex issue and her life was far from 'normal'. Her voice and her contribution to music was almost paranormal, just incredible off the charts talent. God bless you Whitney and Bobbi Kristina.

hisawesomecreation I don't think I said her destiny is in my hands, but I'm almost 100% sure that drugs and stuff of the sort sinful, are they not ? If you continue committing sins without seeking salvation, feeling repentant, and trying to better yourself.. I'm sure you go to hell. Sure, she was struggling and all.. But the same goes for people who commit suicide. They go to hell too. To commit suicide is a sin. Not everyone is worthy of heaven and that's just fact. It's not just murderers and violent criminals that fall to the temptation of the devil. Whitney just happened to be a different kind of submission to temptation.

Watching this for the 1st time in 2022 & crying my eyes out.

Omg this made me cry especially hearing her sing to her baby. My heart melted with sadness..jesus loves you both..he sent and angel down and gifted her with an amazing angelic voice that wowed the world..R.I.P angels 🖤💜🖤💜

Man my heart bleeds when I watched that interview . my mother and father and all my aunts and uncles on both sides of my family were addicted to drugs. I watched so much behind what drugs do to people and when I see her I see my Mom cause you know they’re great people but because of the drug and what it bares. It takes a toll on their spirit and who they really are. It’s such a hard thing. RIP Whitney my Mom died behind the addiction too. May your family have peace knowing your with Jesus now

IKR. Whitney was molested as a child, her mom had an affair, her brother introduced her to drugs when she was a teenager, her father sued her. And people really expect her to be truly an angel? Whitney was innocent as a child just like us. People around her, including her family that mess up her life. She was REAL with her personality. It's not her fault that people call her an angel because of her beautiful voice and face.

Breaks my heart seeing Whitney and little Bobbi Kristina in this interview. Ten years from then she would be gone leaving behind a daughter who miss her mother and now she's in a coma. So sad. If only Whitney were stronger to have overcome her demons but sometimes if its not in God's plan it will not happen.

Yes very sad to see Whitney and Bobbi Kristina in this interview 10 years ago and now they have both passed away in death. People plan however God never plans since His purpose is always carried out. I love how she mentions no one can make her do anything. That's because we have the wonderful gift of free will. "Be as free people, using your freedom, not as a cover for doing wrong, but as slaves of God" (1 Peter 2:16) And Whitney knew that.
