As an 11 year veteran of EXTRA (editor), I have a unique perspective because I had the blessing of working with Bobbi Kristina on the set of For Better or Worse Season 1 in 2012 just weeks after her mom passed. I was on-set with her when the lies were printed about her about her supposed “behavior” on set, which was in fact professional, charming, spirited, talented, and amazing. I didn’t even know who she was when I decided she was a brilliant young actress. As an editor, I cut many of her scenes on the sit com, and saw how talented she was, and only later I discovered she was Whitney’s daughter I'd been editing! I only knew here as Bobbi. Slander against a teenager recovering from her mother's death in 2012 is for the pure wicked, and I hope these authors repent - today. I really liked working with Bobbi and was hoping for a brilliant career from this talented young actress. Pray for her and her recovery and her peace.

Bobbie Christina needed more support, and I blame all the adults. I always cry when I see her autobiography on TUBI. WAY TOO SAD

I think out of all the celebrity deaths, this one is the most heartbreaking. You feel like you knew her personlly just by listening to her music. She was a gift to all of us. I think we need to take the time to appreciate that. RIP Whitney Houston.

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this woman, but I really love her, especially for what she said in the last moments of this video. People mean to be better but the flesh wants what the flesh wants. Drug addiction and alcoholism are insidious things. No one ever starts out to be addicted, it creeps up on you and it’s hard to deny once it has you in its grips, even if you know better. I will finish by saying this: Whitney Houston should receive mercy from us, not because she’s the greatest female singer that ever lived (which she was), but because we all need it. ❤️

@@eugene289I don't doubt that Witney loved her daughter but she raised Bobby Kristina not Cissy. She stayed in a terrible marriage far too long. She was using drugs for too many years. Whitney said that when Bobbi K was 6 years old, her classmates told her that her mother was a crackhead. Bobby K didn't live in a sober home. Whitney may have been a better parent than Bobby but that ain't saying much.

This woman was so honest and maybe is the only person who admits that "Whitney was her own person who made her own choices and was well aware of the results..." I cried for Bobbi because she was left with little to no support system. ONLY money grabbers who wanted her to accomplish at any cost, when emotionally she was lost, distraught and I can imagine felt hopeless without her mother

The best singer in the world (Kim Burrell) was friends with the best singer in the world (Whitney)… Kim is soooooooo dope ❤️

Loved this interview by Kim Burrell about Whitney Houston. This Industry life is bigger than a lot of people think thay know. There are SO many pressures, opinions, disappointments, and heartaches, as well as Joy! Whitney gave and gave, & was on her way to being a "better Whitney" again. That is not an easy thing to do, with so much pressure on your plate too. I will always love Whitney for the gift that she gave. Let's honor her & remember that she was a human being with flaws, just like us!

I went to her Be My Baby Tonight tour in Oklahoma City. I was barely a teenager and I was on top of the world! Seeing my idol up on stage, the beautiful lighting, hearing her sing, she was in her element! I will never forget that moment. I sat on top of the huge speakers in front of the stage. I couldn't believe when the man asked me if I wanted to! I climbed on top, sat down, thanked the Good Lord, and closed my eyes and I felt my soul be free while she sang! All the beatings and abuse as a child no longer exist. Pure delight. I am now 41 years old and I will hold that near my heart forever. Side note: to the man that worked in the crew that gave me the ticket, I would never forget you. It was worth me finishing up that laundry of yours at the laundromat for that ticket! I never knew that moment would change my life forever.

Kim is a true friend. Whitney lived her life to the fullest.

I have a brand new respect for Kim Burrell. What a mighty woman of the most high.

I think most ppl in her camp was in church and loved their love of God .

I heard it said once, that when a smoker gets lung cancer and passes, noone blames the person, gossips about the person, or says," how could they do this to their family?", or " they got what they deserved". I hope and pray that someday we will all learn there is no difference in any addiction, no matter the substance. Noone wakes up and wants to have an addiction- noone!! Love and kindness is the only way to help an addict- not enabling but real love. I am grateful Whitney shared her voice with us, and I pray she is at peace with God and his perfect understanding. I will never forget hearing she was gone, there will never be another Whitney Houston

MARY W I think it's because they sing so much they begin to develop a raspy voice. I've noticed that the more you sing, the deeper your voice gets

What a beautiful soul this lady has and I am so glad Whitney had her as a friend. Not many of us are lucky enough to have such honest and supportive friends in our life ....ever. Kim Burrell has a calmness about her which makes you want to stop and listen to what she has to say. This is the bestand most honest account of Whitney's passing I have witnessed thus far.

I love Whitney Houston as if she was my mother. Her beautiful voice and courageous personality lit up a room. I have never been in her presence but I have watched a lot of her performance and she was definitely a show stopper. Regardless of the life style she lived she always gave recognition to the Almighty Heavenly Father Up Above. Her poise and sophistication captivated a lot of attention by itself. Let us not judge for we may be also judged with the same measurement. May this Devine Queen and Her Beautiful Precious Jewel Daughter Continue to R.I.P.

I can tell that she was a true friend who genuinely loved Whitney and this is probably the best interview that I've seen recalling the event. Well done!

She was never a cheesy gimick or ever used shock value to get her name out there. She was a very special person an amazing mother snd wife. She valued her family and her loved ones above all else. And that included her very many fans. May she rest in peace and stand forever beside her daughter and loved ones in the kingdom of heaven.

Whitney was only human like the rest of us. Beautiful and gifted and, will will always be missed. RIH Queen

During this ordeal I cried like my own sister people truly loved Whitney...during the funeral I couldnt control myself my grand said gma why u crying like that! "All I could say was you wont understand Jordan it's whitney funeral...he walked off shaking his head like "really grandma!"

Whitney died just like her first movie, The bodyguard...and in the movie the ppl closest to her wanted her money and her family wanted to kill her... doesn't seem any different. That movie foreshadowed her true reality

She didn’t die but her family did put hits out to have her killed for her money and fame! She was surrounded by jealous people who really didn’t care for her or her son. That’s why she fell in love with the bodyguard because he genuinely loved her

The way she said Whitney is gone is soo sad 😭

Timika Roberts just like when Micheal Jackson died his personal chef and kids was down stairs the whole time and not once did anyone know of him being dead until around noon time after she fixed his lunch😩✊ it is very weird huh

What a beautiful person, Whitney was lucky to have Kim. You can clearly see that she is a loyal person and does not have any alterior motives. I wish I had a friend like her. I believe everything that she is saying.

Wow, I really felt Kim's heart in the video, and to see some of the comments is truly sad.
