@DallasVEVO, Houston's drug addiction is known but never the cause. How a person so successful, wealthy, intelligent and beautiful was led to a self destructing habit. Perhaps Houston, now somewhere without materials and ego, would want others to see her life as a teaching moment. To take better care of one's body and to fully heal from trauma in a more healthy way than she chose when she was alive. I agree that music or documentaries shouldn't be released since it seems the family has gained money from Houston's fame/death. So I wished Whitney's trauma would have been released by her mother since her story is a lesson for us all.

Their jobs require living the nightlife and at times requires early morning promotional interviews. Pills are medically or non medically given to wake up and to go to sleep . The usually opens the door to more drugs. No one could help Whitney as she was resistant .

She didn't drown. Why did people not pay attention to the autopsy report? Her nose was punched in. Her back and her leg was scalded. The meat was gone from part of her leg. Six hours after they removed whitney from the bathtub, the water was still at 95.5% fareinheit. That's six hours later. The room was torn up a mess with the big tv smashed in. She had bruisings on her arms neck and legs. This means that she went through the battle of her life in the room before she was thrown in scalding hot water. There were multiple people involved in this crime but I am willing to bet whitney's entire riches that it was Pat Houston that Brutally dragged her into the hot boiling tub water to finish her off after her accomplices had smashed her into the tv and furniture. Pat was not a Houston. She made her way into the circle and married Whitney's step/half brother. Then Pat changed her own last name to Houston. She wanted to be a Houston so bad and Envied Whitney with a hatred passion which she hid very well until the last days. Whitney more than likely was cutting ties with Pat and that n raged Pat. They need to investigate that entire family.

Kelly Dior how is this revelation destroying her reputation? If any it shines a light on WHY she was so addicted to drugs.

My whole thing is, everyone talking about how close they were to Whitney but nobody got her help or wanted to help her! Everyone used her!

Some of us humans believe all their problems would be solved by money. It didn't help her, Micheal Jackson, Elvis Presley, Vernon Troyer, Robin Williams, River Phoenix, Anthony Bourdain, Kate Spade,...shall I go on? Break the cycle of addiction and be educated about mental illness. xoxoxo

I saw the documentary in the movie theatre. It was done with such a level of excellence. Finally, sum1 cared enuff 2 "humanize" Whitney. She was presented as a vulnerable woman w/ unhealed trauma & yet blessed w/ a powerful gift of singing. I left the theatre in tears b/c I "felt" the compassion & the heaviness of the blessings & curses. Whew!! RIP Whitney 😢

Sexual trauma in children never goes away. She dealt with life the best she could, so now let her rest in piece. Nothing will ever take away her greatness.

The dead cant have peace in hell. Whitney isn't in heaven. She never repented and never turned away from her sins and never served Jesus. She died in her drug addiction and was sent to hell. Speaking as an addict... When i was using - I wanted to keep it a secret, I was ashamed, but after recovery their is nothing more powerful (for me) than to share my story. I'm no longer embarrassed by it, I will never give that drug power to make me feel ashamed again. I think after what happened to her, and then her daughter (I mean as far as them both losing their lives), I would think she would want her whole story to be told. She still has a huge following. These interviews could save lives, and who better to tell it than her family? I see no malice coming from her family in this interview.. I don't know why people have to spin this in a negative light, like they are out her tarnishing her name?

Oooohhhh child, I fell in love with Whitney. Made a fan girl out of me, even though she was out before my time. I love her class, kindness, femininity, & classy smart remarks. Sassy. Personality just amazed me. I’ve been studying her life and watched the Bobby brown story and was curious because people always pinpoint and put out the bad but she had a story. You know. Like everybody sees the effect but not interested in the cause. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful voice. Fully amazing but very hurt. That hurt maybe got the best of her in ways but let’s not let that overpower how great she was. Mistakes and all has me stuck onto her. May she rest peacefully. Beautiful person, we must know how to heal please. Drugs isn’t the problem it’s trauma. She was not addicted to heroine she was addicted to her trauma and the drugs was her cope and her escape.

As a survivor, I know in my heart, if someone had validated their experience and helped them heal, we'd still have that dear beautiful woman with us. God rest her soul. facts.......that is how you know that you have a grounded and functional ear in your midst! As it gets to the bottom of what needs to be done vs guessing, A good ear, eyes, heart, soul is compliments of being connected to an array of disciplined essentials........or it could never be as efficient as it is. A good ear/mind, rarely needs to jump to conclusions, hear both sides of whatever stories and bs! When good peoples are involved with anything, you will get good results #period!

Lillian Warren I agree. My auntie did way harder drugs than Whitney. All 5 of her kids have issues from drugs. But we stayed on her, loved her, prayed on her, and kept our doors and heart open. and now my auntie been clean for 7 years doing amazing... thick healthy happy.

My heart hurts when I watched this documentary on Whitney. She will always be the Queen, the Diva, and the Angel who gave us so much. Her voice, music, and beauty will live on for eternity. Let us focus on the good things she gave us, instead of the negativity & her falling from grace! RIP baby girl! RIP Bobbi Kristina! May God embrace both you always forever.... :(

Whitney and her brother both began using drugs when they were very young, how is it their parents were completely oblivious to their children being addicts.

I loved Whitney so much it was heartbreaking when she died I still miss her.... she was so talented.... drugs ruined her life....

I’ve seen several interviews with Pat and she never really directly answers a question. She is always composed. Has she ever shown any emotion other than being cold, unbothered and stern?

I think it is a shame to reveal all of this negative stuff about Whitney after her death. I feel like these are secrets that Whitney did not want shared with the world. Please have respect for the dead and celebrate the good things in their lives.

If you watch closely during this interview (and the one Gary and Pat did with Oprah) interestingly, there are so tears when discussing Whitney. There is no sadness for the loss of her life. It's all matter of fact...It is my belief that Gary was resentful and jealous of his sister. Imagine, growing up with a little sister, teaching her, helping to take care of her (damn near changing her diapers). And then she grows up to achieve enormous wealth and fame. And now you're employed by her. Of Pat, she allegedly stole Gary (although I don't know why anyone would want him) from his former wife. Later, cozied up to Gary's mother Cissy. She even joined Cissy's background group. Still her real coup was getting to Gary's superstar sister Whitney. She even left her husband and daughter at times during that awful reality show in order to keep tabs on a grieving BobbiKris (and seal her #coin) from the vulnerable young girl. Bobby Brown should have taken his daughter the minute Whitney was killed. If so, she'd probably still be alive today.

Pat Watson (her real last name) - as stated by her stepson in his open letter - indeed, needs to be investigated. She tries to bestow this soft spoken, clean image on any fool who'd buy her 'inviting-like-charm' persona. There is an entire not-so-great back story on Pat Watson that anyone who supports her manipulated character she smoothly displays, would be shocked to learn. It isn't as easy for Jonathan Houston (Whitney's nephew, a REAL Houston at that ), to come out and boldly say certain things abt why Pat should be investigated because of defamation, or slander claims (without solid proof). So he is smart and clever in how he worded his letter. Please take that into consideration. Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon once stated that they had to rescue Pat from an overdose, a story that seems to have been swept under a rug. After what happened to Krissi, Pat rushed to the courts to put that gag order against Nick because she knows he knows the real true tea on her and it's sad that he can't speak and tell his story. Pat was busted and convicted many years ago for distributing illegal drugs, so whose to say she wasn't a supplier who kept Whitney and her family doped up, to manipulate them? Before whitney's cousin died, (Michelle Drinkard, she had said some years ago that Whitney's father (the late John Houston), warned Whitney about Pat in the early 00s, that he found checks written out to Pat from tabloids. This came out of the mouth of Whitney's own cousin and I believed her. As far as that audio goes; Pat can be heard speaking negatively about Whitney and her daughter. Her tone of voice in that revealing audio didn't come from a woman who has compassion and love for Whitney and Bobbi, it came from a vile speaking tone of greed, jealousy, emotionless, remorseless, and anger towards the woman's estate she runs and her deceased daughter. If you can't detect that, then your deaf and delusional. The partial truth has been revealed about Pat and her conniving, bitter ways,. It's only a matter of time when she will meet her faith.

Whitney fought her demons for a long time the best she could. She was tired and worn out. She never got the help she needed because she was surrounded by nothing. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. So she was left with nothing because nobody was there. May she rest in peace.

I think you are right, Momma pushed her, and loved her, maybe lived her life vicariously through her, since she was a singer who sang many years back up. And family members who gladly stayed around her for jobs she gave them , money , things, but when it was all said and done, she had nobody who was like a rock in her life, to set her straight when she needed to hear the truth. They didnt want to be excluded from her entourage. See same thing happens to many famous people. Only way you become that successful and have a happy life, is to put God first in your life, and surround yourself with people who do the same. That's where that old saying comes from " its lonely at the top"

Mental illness is a real thing. I have a 22 year old daughter. She has panic attacks, depression, anxiety and OCD, my brother, and myself all take something for our issues. Our mother had all of that too! Her doctor said it’s hereditary not all mental health issues are like this but every form of mental issues is different depending on the person. Stay strong and know that there are people out their praying for you and I know right now you are depressed but it will get better. Please try to be proactive and tell your doctor or go to a psychiatrist or mental health counselor. I hope things get better quickly for you!

Finally they can stop blaming Bobby for getting Whitney started on drugs. I always knew the real truth would come out one day.

Nilaja Kamau: Apparently, Cissy married a man by the name of Freddie Garland. Through that marriage, Gary was born. Gary's father and Cissy got divorce in 1957/58 and married John Houston, Jr in 1959. My guess why Gary took the Houston last name over his biological name is to capitalize on the fame his sister and mother had in the entertainment world. It would be very easy to gain jobs and sing gigs if your last name is Houston, brother of Whitney, son of Cissy, and cousin of Dionne.
