This review was hilarious 😂. The "I hate his chipperness" caught me off guard. I don't know why I laughed so hard at that. Must've been the delivery.

You summed exactly how I felt about the movie. You also hit the nail on the head with the DCEU as a whole. They’re trying to do so many things so fast without a clear direction and movies like Black Adam are glaring examples of it. It was such a sloppy mess and Black Adam’s motivation was so confusing. Tone was all over the place as well

Seeing the movie this evening. So Excited! RT user scores are 88% currently. The majority are saying it's not a great movie, but it's a fun movie. Not to mention the mid-credits scene. As a DC fan, that's enough for me for now.

I can't imagine anything worse than Wonder Woman 84. WW84 is probably the dumbest movie I have ever seen.

Wonder Woman ending is quite similar to Black Adam’s: big chaotic CGI fight against a very lame vilain.

I totally get all the criticisms, and after I see it I am sure to agree with most of your points. But that isn't gonna stop me from going with my son and bathing in the glow of the green screen SFX. I knew what this was gonna be when I finished all the sentences of dialogue in the trailers :) I hope that soon they make a parody scene with Kevin Hart as Hawkman

Man, I loved this movie. It was pretty action packed! The story could have been a bit tighter but when I go to a super hero movies… I want action schulk~! And this movie did not disappoint.

White Adam reviews Black Adam - Nice one

This is a good movie to take your kids and parents to watch. Some mindless fun with no boring story elements weighing it down. They give you cool characters and you watch them do cool things. They don’t waste time spelling out every little story detail about each character. It kind of makes you more interested to see more in the future knowing less. As an 80’s and 90’s action fan, this was a dream movie come true. I will compare this movie to a franchise I have grown to despise, fast and furious. I hate the ridiculousness and over the top nonsense in F&F. But in Black Adam it makes sense because the characters are actual superheroes. Loved the movie. And as always, love White Adam’s reviews 😊.

I like this movie, sure it's big and dumb but I found it to be very entertaining. Much more entertaining than Maverick and I enjoyed Maverick. There are some critics talking about how cringe the little kid Amon was, I didn't find him all that annoying. If anyone wants to see an annoying kid watch Edward Furlong in Terminator 2. The entire cast was great, I want to see more of Doctor Fate. Sure, Black Adam is fast food... with fresh cooked fries. Yum, Yum give me some.

Dammit. I won't be seeing it until next week. Got Napa Valley grown up crap to do this weekend. But I'm not so excited to see it anymore. A week later: Loved it.

I was looking forward to this, but then early reviews started coming out. Now I might just wait and pirate it later

Just came from the cinema saw black Adam, I'm not a professional movie review about I believe that movie is great I will give it 4.5 out of 5 I've see videos of people complaining about the supporting characters- atom smasher and cyclone, but in a movie you can't have stories of every character told. It leaves a possibility of spin-offs. I remember the 2017 justice league people were complaining about the where's cyborgs story, but in Zack Snyder's cut those complaints were not there because people knew something. In terms of the woman and child, they are necessary to show the good side of a bad character and change the overall motivation of a bad character.

There are plenty of movies where there are multiple characters introduced with their backstories integrated into the plot or their characters in ways that make them have an arc, this movie did not do that except for Dr Fate....then got killed off in the same movie, that's lazy The woman and child were not there for good arcsz they were an example of characters hanging around for no reason other than exposition and fake familiarity, it's impossible to care cuz they weren't set up properly nor do they have reason to still be alive with the amount of plot armor they have, the kid is a damsel and very annoying....they added nothing

This title is too funny! Lol Dewayne Johnson is not a name you associate with great movies.

In defense of Hawkeye : I understand why many people who are only familiar with the character from his portrayals in the movies would greatly underestimate his abbilities and usefullness. But these people aren't paying attention. Marvel Comics world doesn't work like Dragonball Z with Power Levels. Hawkeye is Batman with a bow and arrow and very precise vision at a distance at the price of bad sight close up. 1. In the first Avengers movie he was the only member of the Avengers that Loki mindcontrolled, yet Hawkeye was enough to get Loki to achieve his plans and cause massive trouble for the others and all of shield. Remember that Loki primarily used Hawkeyes knowledge of the other heroes weaknesses as well as employed Hawkeyes strategies. 2. In the commics Hawkeye nearly always wins from Iron Man in a one on one. EMP anyone? 3. Hawkeye can and has defeated every avenger that is currently in the MCU. 4. Hawkeye got a drop victory on Vision. 5. Hawkeye without tech help has been shown multiple times to have a better grasp and vision of the battlefield. He is the one guy that can keep track of all his allies and opponents even without looking at them. That's how he can bullseye someome flying by behind him without needing to turn his head to look. 6. Hawkeye isn't just a good shot or even a meverick shooter. He is unrealistically good of a shot that could make his arrow bounce off of 6 surfaces before hitting a target hiding in the back of a car on the other side of a building with only a slight opening in the front window of the car. I'm willing to bet that if he goes hide and ambush tactics he could take out all the presently availiable avengers. Useless, hardly. If he was just a strong dude with a bow, then yes. But he is so much more.

Okay, white Adam taking Black Adam was very funny. As far as this movie goes, there is no way I am seeing this in cinema and wasting 20 bucks. I will catch it on HBO Max b/c it is free at home. This is getting lukewarm reviews. I appreciate your candor, you can tell critics are wary to basically say it stinks or is rather lousy. They have all sugar coated it. See it at home free. I am glad you have a movie pass & don't waste your $. That would stink.

Just watched this and I think it's the best superhero movie I've seen in absolutely ages. Wasn't bored once and I love the fact that's the references the fact that 'superheroes" never do anything about the inequalities around the world. Except for the end of black panther when BP buys the housing estates where Killmonger grew up with the promises of future aid.

It’s funny because I am still totally ignoring Black Adam on HBO Max. I’m not sure the Rock has ever been a part of a good film.

I'm probably the target audience for this. I know enough DC stuff to know the characters without them needing standalone movies so them popping in without a big crazy introduction isn't a big deal for me. I also like stupid, dumb, cheesy, ridiculous, outrageous and unrealistic movies (Battleship for example). I really liked Pierce Brosnan as Dr Fate, his behavior while Hawk Man and Black Adam were having a disagreement got a good laugh out of me. CGI little Rock was weird and made me uncomfortable. The main problem I had with the movie was that it felt like there was an extra twenty minutes in the movie that didn't need to be there. Overall I liked it, and would probably watch it again. I think I liked it because it was a simple story with lots of explosions, spacemen/wizards punching each other, and weird magic bullshit.

Did we need Amanda Waller in there? Does anyone else think the JSA would have worked better if they didn't have them be just random people who don't know eachother? Minus hawkman and fate. If felt like it was a black adam origin movie and a JSA vs Black Adam movie rolled into one and it sucked

That kid was indeed one of the worst parts of the movie. Wasn't great acting, but absolutely awful writing. When they ADRed his voice in the finale, I couldn't bear to watch. Hope the actor can get past this.

Unfortunately DC movies have been so bad, many people have such low expectations that they think this movie is good...you know, for a DC movie. Someone wrote "I'll take what I can get" and I know what they mean. Lol.

So basically another disappointing DC film? They were getting on such a roll lately with The Suicide Squad, Shazam, Joker and The Batman. Back to mediocrity it is I guess. I never thought this film looked particularly good plus it seems like the Rock was hiding this for so long after filming wrapped.

I’m not going to see it. I was considering it, if it was good. But sounds like a isn’t.

Leftist cope? WTF are you going on about? Only 10% of my subscribers watch my videos because I've been doing this channel off and on for 10 years and it has radically changed about 1/2 a dozen times. A large amount of the subscribers most-likely subbed for a viral video and are probably dead accounts. There are a good chunk of us that are having this issue. I can't explain it. I'm also have a problem giving good-faith explanations to pricks on KZread that jump to conclusions. I'm still working on myself. Thanks

Adam on this we disagree. The Justice Society predates the Justice League. I think what the movie really suffers from is seeing so much similar in Marvel before hand. DC doesn't follow the source material. Johnson did this time.
