The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

This is why there are so many sickos walking amongst us. Their parents dismiss all the bad behavior and take no responsibility to ensure their heathen gets mental evaluation and psychiatric treatment or whatever professional help they need to correct, control, end their violent or nefarious tendencies. If they would do their job as parents, there would be a lot more of these monsters who are put in a place where they cannot harm themselves or others.

The parents of Steven Pfiel didn’t think about Hillary, she meant nothing to them. You can bet the Pfiel’s parents were in complete shock when their “very good” 🎉son murdered his brother and raped his sister. The papers later made The Pfiel parents out to be victims, it was disgusting.

Some offences are so heinous that the only appropriate sentence, sadly, is the death penalty. Here, we do not have capital punishment, but we do have criminals who will NEVER be freed ever. Personally, I think that if one is sentenced to life, it must mean just that LIFE meaning they will die jail.

Steven’s mother, Gayle Pfiel, made her very first courtroom appearance after her oldest son, Roger, was murdered. Gayle’s eyes were red, and she choked back tears when Steven Pfiel murderer of his own brother was escorted into the room. After the plea agreement terms, Pfiel’s attorney, Raymond Pijon, asked Pfiel some questions to determine whether he understood the consequences of his plea. Pfiel’s responses were short, “Yes, sir.” Cook County Assistant State’s Atty. Ed Snow read the state’s evidence synopsis, which explained how Hillary’s body had been found decomposed with at least twelve stab damage “primarily in the head, neck and facial area.” The summary also recounted how investigators had recovered a hunting knife and a blood-soaked T-shirt from Steven’s room. DNA tests on those samples matched Hillary’s blood. Snow completed his statement by reporting a discovery that Hillary’s voice box and trachea had been sliced. By that time, Marsha Norskog was slumped over and crying. She shifted from mourning Hillary to thrashing out at Steven and his parents. She asked, “What made you think you could get away with murdering Hillary?” staring down Steven, “Is it because you have never been taught to be responsible for your actions? You have had everything handed to you.” As Norskog returned to her seat, she passed Gayle Pfiel and harshly whispered, “You knew. You knew.” Pijon stood to defend Steven’s parents, saying he sympathized with Marsha Norskog for her loss but not for trying to get money from the Pfiels in her civil suit. He noted that “the stones you throw may come back in another direction.” Norskog, surrounded by her two children and a crowd of supporters exchanging hugs outside the court building, said she thought Pfiel showed his true colors by not making any statement.

Their teenage son is charged with murder of a 13 yo girl and they have a reason to go party on st Patrick's day. Not only did they bond him out, they also thought it was a wise decision to leave him without adult supervision. No way does a parent who truly cares about their kid does this. I think these actions are a small example of how they raised their kids. Put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself if you'd do this. Even if they believe he's really innocent, you don't go partying knowing your teenage son is going through this extremely pressure filled situation.

This story is scary to me especially because I have a brother whom my mother ALWAYS made every excuse for, even when he literally would physically attack us siblings my mom would defend him. I told her that he had SA’d me and she told me “you two should talk and apologize to each other.” I don’t have contact with either of them and I’m convinced I’m gonna see him on the news one day after he does something terrible, and all my mom had to do was NOT raise a terrible human being with 0 accountability for his actions.

Just grotesque. I agree that some people are just born evil, something is missing internally and there's no way to fill that void in them, no way on earth to repair them. These people tend to fill their lives with evil to pass the time, so to speak. There's no conscience and no feelings of remorse to slow them down. It's scary to even contemplate this. I was a MH professional for years, now retired and this is something I truly believe just from the experiences I have had . The truly mentally ill usually suffer not being differentiated from those who mimic mental dysfunction for whatever secondary gain they're after.

Omg!! He's definately not right. This is so sickening. What a horrific story. How do the parents of these two family's get through this? I don't think it would be possible. I'm hoping Stevens parents opened their eyes to the realization of the demon baby they created. The poor daughter, she's probably had issues trying to deal with what Steven did to her and their family. This is just a heartbreaking story. The evil that lives among us 😢.

Hopefully some of the commenters aren't predicting the future about him ever getting out, BUT his IDOC record shows he's now housed in a medium security joint. Hill Correctional Center. He should be back at Menard or Stateville forever. UGH.
