_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

I am guessing that a good part of the cemetery is unconsecrated. Let me know otherwise? There is a Catholic section, and a Jewish section here. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Moriah_Cemetery_(South_Dakota)

I would love for you to visit Bodie California in the Eastern Sierras. You will not be disappointed I will bet my horse and hat on that fact. It would be wonderful if you do to read a few books on the people that lived there. One by Ella Cain, and another my favorite person Rosa May by George Williams the third. Please You will not be disappointed.

@@lauriewarner4848 Thanks for this information. I just happen to be going to Bodie in 2 weeks and will be taking photographs (again) in HD and 8k video. I will research your authors books and see what I can dig up (figuratively). Bodie is a land of extreme temperatures for sure and well worth the visit. The turnoff to Bodie is located on US395 between Lee Vining and Bridgeport. Its about a 10 mile drive on gravel road from the turnoff. There is a year round Park Ranger living there.

A point of interest is she was only 27 when she died so to live such a life and be married 5 times was pretty crazy. Wow dying at such a young age and do all she did is pretty insane.

Not to be judgmental, however it bothers me when I hear the stories that someone that has died young and committed such crimes could not go to heaven. I’m a Christian and believe my sins are paid for, and it bothers me to think that these people are might not have asked to be forgiven of their sins from Jesus Christ and will reside in hell forever.

Very enjoyable story, Ron. It sounds like Kitty was a real gold digger. Robbed men blind of their gold under their noses. Beautiful cemetery. With it being on sloped land, it's interesting how the plots were leveled off with blocks of stone. I hope someone gives you the actual whereabouts of her burial site.

Interesting story, Ron. What a life she led. I wonder whatever became of the original tombstone they had in that 1st cemetery? Maybe it was stolen? He must have loved her to be able to take his own life as well as hers. And maybe, just maybe, she loved him as well, and she knew things would not end well for them both, hence the will she had drawn up.
