@@dannicu2029 not really, all religions have done this except Buddhism and jainsim. that statement of jihad became popular after they wanted to cause chaos in the middle east for oil. watch out what will happen in the next big natural resources which are phosphate mines in Morocco. (I'm sure they will make another war there) by the way, Quran was not written till 6th century. Muslims didn't know much about their religion. look for aramaic readings of Quran, there's no mention of 72 virgins.

Yes many many problems in doing this cherry picked statistical analysis with many factors which severely skew the interpretation and even the categorising of the statistics here. Clearly this was done with a very strong pro islam bias to get more people on board to this chameleon of a religion.

Yes, the author takes that in consideration, he takes into account earth population and the percentage of every civilization throughtout history (0-2008). Read it, it's only one section of the book, the whole study is only about 20 pages or so.

The old man, like many others like him who tries to convince that Islam is either superior or at least other religions are inferior, has an ambiguous presentation that falls prey to exactly those who do not know how to think. He casts the stigma of violence on other religions, although the wars in the geographical area of those religions were POLITICALLY motivated (NO religious ideology), the religion being ONLY a pretext. The difference I pointed out is that ONLY Islam preaches war in its very teachings. NO other religion does such a thing. But Islam has fixed the causes of war to be waged on certain grounds in holy book, Quran. because God knows that if sustainence of peace be left on human being, he will show only his self preservation imminent in physical laws and will fight for the vested interests as mentioned above but the divine guidance came for higher purpose of his life and controlled him in the vicinity of guidelines of war as war is important to stopcorruption, cruelty or lawlessness in state or country and to support poor, destitute and innocent. Academic estimates around 90 000 000-1.2 billion people have died as the result of Islam and it’s continuous war of religious expansion since the 7th century to the current day across three continents. I think something to consider might also be the fact that civilizations with high levels of large massacres might also be related to the density of population in which those civilizations exhist and the high level of military competition and technological advancement that ensues. China and Western Europe and India being well reknown for relatively high densities of population throughout history thus capable of larger war scales

If you were a Christian being fed to the Roman lions, would you stand there and “turn the other cheek?” Which Christian turns the other cheek? Only two that I met in my long life. If you were being hunted down in Palestine for daring go love Allah and follow His methods of prayer, and take care of your family, would you walk away? But people like Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Hitler, and daily serial killers kill thousands of innocents because they have revenge on their minds-and are bloodthirsty. At least in the Bible there are just as many peaceful verses as there are verses on incest, rape-marriage, murdering those who worship a different god, Jesus telling his people to “sell his garments” to buy a sword when necessary -and God in the Bible destroying entire populations and Lut type of communities of Lot for disobeying His commands. If you were a practicing Jew during Holocaust or centuries of European abused even upon Jewish ghettos forced upon the Jews, would you “turn the other cheek” or fight for your rights as a human, (which Spanish Islam allowed people to do, say, work, or speak). Indeed, some scholars regard Sura 9 as the last sura to be revealed from on high. Therefore, it sets many policies for Muslims today, and is often interpreted as abrogating or canceling previous verses, even peaceful ones. Muhammad heard a rumor that the Byzantines amassed an army some 700 miles to the north in Tabuk (northern Arabia today) in order to attack Islam, so he led an army of 30,000 holy warriors to counter-strike preemptively. However, the Byzantines failed to materialize, so Muhammad’s belief in the false rumor was misguided and his expedition was fruitless, except he managed to extract (extort) agreements from northern Christian Arab tribes that they would not attack him and his community. An army of 30,000 soldiers from the south must have deeply impressed the northern tribes, so they posed no real threat to Islam. They are the ones who paid the "protection" tax mentioned in Sura 9:29 (and so do tribes and cities after Muhammad’s death). Therefore, Muhammad’s forced tax was aggressive and hence unjust, not defensive and hence just. Muhammad’s military expedition qualifies as an Islamic Crusade long before the European ones. After all, in 638, only six years after Muhammad’s death, Muslim armies conquer Jerusalem. Today, Muslims should never again complain about European Crusades, unless they first come to grips with their own. What the ten reasons mean for us today These ten aspects of violence that have burrowed into the hemorrhaging heart of early Islam have eight implications for us today. The first three are theological; the rest are practical. The theological implications are as follows: First, as each reason in this article has hinted at and the links explain more thoroughly, Christ never, ever engaged in such violence. For example, he never assassinated opponents, whipped adulterers, cut off the hands of thieves, or launched his own Crusades (what the Medieval Europeans did is not foundational to Christianity). Christ expresses the love of God. Therefore, Christians and all fair-minded persons have the right to question whether the true God would reveal the Quran when it contains such violent verses that conveniently support Muhammad’s violence, whereas the New Testament does not have such violence. Second, Muslims believe that the New Testament is corrupted, whereas the Quran is inerrant. Even if we assume only for the sake of argument that these claims are true (but they actually are not), then why would reasonable seekers of the truth prefer the "pure" but violence-filled Quran over the "corrupted" but peaceful New Testament? Before Muhammad is allowed to throw around unsubstantiated charges about alleged New Testament corruption, he and his Quran must pass a down-to-earth test regarding his dubious, violent practices. But he and it fail the test badly, as this demonstrates, whereas Christ and the New Testament pass with a perfect score. Therefore, if Muhammad is so wrong about down-to-earth matters like whipping adulterers and cutting off the hands of thieves and beating wives, then he is likely wrong about unresearched accusations of New Testament corruption-and factually he is wrong. Third, since Muhammad who claims divine guidance is so wrong about practical matters, why should we believe him about theoretical matters like the deity of Christ and the Trinity, both of which he denies? Clearly, he was not divinely guided in practical matters because the true God would not degrade religion by endorsing such gruesome violence six hundred years after Christ came-the historical span is critical. Christ and the New Testament do not have even one example of such violence. Again, if Muhammad first fails the down-to-earth test, then he likely fails the theological or theoretical test-we have no reason to believe him in such high doctrines, especially since he was no theologian and his revelations are now empirically suspect.

In Islam is like in North Korea.: teh thinking is allowed, but only if it is NOT (even rationally, not other way) against Islam and Muhammad. So, think again about distraction listening opinions. When you say a muslim nation, it means the overwhelming majority of population is muslim. But it could have a secular or mixed state system. When you say Islamic country it means that the country for the most part has laws driven from Sharia.

Christianity is not just. Thousands of years people were killed because of this hard laws and went to hell. But than after unjust thousands of years people basically have nothing to do 🤣...

Those of us who've spent many years studying world religions, history, anthropology, philosophy, and humanities (people like myself), are aware that most religions, in general, have a history of violence in some capacity. Now, as for Christianity having the highest death toll (at least, according to this particular source), that shouldn't be too surprising since it has been one of the world's largest religions for quite some time - it's also one of the oldest. Anyway, I'm Catholic by birth and a syncretic Catholic / New Ager by choice. I find all religions to be quite fascinating - especially esoteric religions like the Alawites, Alevis, Druze, Yarsanis, and Yazidis.

If we look at colonial European conflicts with other cultural groups is the primary motivator of violence a financial one with a ‘civilising’ push for Christian conversions of local populations a mere afterthought or is the level of violence heightened due to, possibly, even subconscious othering of the indigenous population due to their non-adherence to Christianity? How long do we count the cultural shadow left by religion on anti-theist conflict participants? Is Communism as practiced by states in the 20th century more in line with religion than mere non-belief?
