    I just watched this for the first time. The history is very informative - I’ll be interested to see if there’s a version from the Palestinian perspective. Main reason I’m here is because I want to hear what Ben has to say about the current situation. Again, I’ll listen to both sides but I can’t see how the terrorists can possibly justify themselves. Not long ago the world had so much empathy for the plight of the Palestinian people. But, if they’re being programmed to hate Israel and think it should be wiped off the map and all Jews should be killed, from a young age, then there’s not much that can be done. It does go both ways. Many Isrealis think that all Palestinians are terrible when that simply isn’t the case. So, I do feel bad for ordinary people on both sides who don’t support the violence… Hamas don’t care that they’re setting their own people up for slaughter. They’ll happily use kids as human shields as they think it’s great marketing.

    I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. It baffles me why Israel is allowing the settlements, because there is much more to lose than to gain with that. They could have the complete moral high ground if they didn’t defy the UN for the last 60 years. What Hamas did the last few days is completely wrong, but Israel seems to be set on giving them all kinds of excuses. Also I don’t understand the complete blockade of Gaza (“no food, no water, no electricity”), because there are innocent people and children there. You can’t punish all of them. By doing that people will say “how is that different than the Warsaw ghetto?” I don’t understand…

    For information only, what this man has said is wrong on so many statements he made. he is without a doubt on an agenda - what that may be is unknown. I will write this man has made so many false/fake misstatement of fact it is pathetic that people believe him. I was on this earth before WWII and I have lived all that he has spoken about and I have a very great grasp of the history of the Middle East. I was deeply angered by his lies and falsehoods - to the place where I could no longer listen to his lies and false words - he is part of the cause of the continuing problems in the Middle East. Let those who speak truth speak for the Middle East - let them gather all peoples together and solve the problems once and forever. What most people do not understand is that all Jewish people still live in their minds the days of Germany and the Holocaust. As a Christian we were killed, beaten, banished centuries ago - remember Jesus was hung from the cross because he was a "teacher with a following" the Romans did not like. I say this final word about this fake "he knows not what he speaks". Please people do not accept this mans words blindly - please at a minimum fact check him - and for that matter fact check me. I strongly suggest you view the You Tube interview between Ben Shapiro and Piers Morgan shortly after October 7th.

    He has just recently made another similar video that is available here on You Tube other than the interview with Piers Morgan - he is classified as a "radical" and cares not one bit what people think or say about him and his opinions. He is, and I want to be careful here because I am not Jewish, he is very far right is his positions on Israel and the Jewish people, because he is in fact Jewish. One thing he did say in the Piers Morgan interview that did not surprise me was that he still harbored a deep hatred because of the Holocaust and that seems to be a theme with many people of the Jewish faith - they can not get over (nor should they forget) what happened back in the 1930-45 time period by a crazed man who wanted only power and the death of the Jewish people - and Shapiro seems to forget that this is an entirely different time period. He also seems to forget that more than 50 million other people died during that same time period from all nations involved in that war - we live on - we remember and honor but we don't live as though that period has never ended. It does not give an explanation to what is going on now. If you read my entire piece I explain all that I took exception to his statements which were complete lies and he himself says he doesn't care if he tells lies and misstates facts - and that is what I object to. If he had told the truth in his followup interviews with Morgan and in a group round table discussion I would not have spent time and energy correcting him but I am the type of person who does place a very high degree in people telling the truth - especially those who are earning money from lies and misstatements.

BUT - Shapiro is obviously and understandably emotionally attached to this issue and he does speak truth in a good deal of the historical back and forth. However, the issue is surrounded by more complexity (as is the case with most of history) and nuance than he lets on as he sets Israel up with a moral high-ground. Not saying they don't have one on certain issues mind you, but they also don't always have one. Agreed - I can't stand those click-bait titles and edited clips. To the degree that the modern state identifies itself as one and the same as the continuation of the ancient state whose founding was the subject of those accounts, it also inherits the liabilities of the misdeeds carried out in the process of establishing that ancient state - regardless of whether they were "divinely mandated" or not. In such case, if so, even the divinity that mandated such actions is liable for the wrong. However, there is no evidence of anything but a continual transition from the time of the Canaanites to the time of the first Israeli kingdom(s): no break with history characteristic of the slaughters and ethnic cleansings described vividly in Exodus, Deuterotomy, Numbers and Judges. In fact, during the times of c. 1500 B.C. and c. 1000 B.C. the whole Levant was *massively* lorded over by Egypt. The absence of any real-life basis for the origin myths tends to undercut any claim to a prior divine mandate to the land. However, it actually *increases* the claim by the ancient state since now (without any proof of misdeeds) there is no basis for accusation of any wrong. The only *actual* account of any pre-1000 B.C. Israel is the one given briefly in Egyptian logs on the Merneptah stele from 1219 B.C. notwithstanding any speculation about the Hyksos being one and the same as the people of Jacob and Joseph, notwithstanding the fact that the name of the second Hyksos king was Yakub-Har, and notwithstanding any suggestion that the account of their expulsion might be the Egyptian side of the story of the Exodus. The mention in the Merneptah stele was a brief mention in the context of a paragraph describing Egypt lording it over the Levant, "Plundered is the Canaan with every evil; Carried off is Asqaluni; Seized upon is Gezer; Yanoam is made non-existent; Israel is laid waste-its seed is no more; Kharru has become a widow because of Egypt. All lands together are pacified. Everyone who was restless has been bound." They had already crushed the Canaanite coalitions around 1500-1450 BC at the battle of Mount Megiddo (the site of "Armageddon") and had been in charge of the Levant since that time.

    This video just barely scratches the surface. Involved(but not mentioned here) is one of the reasons Hitler and the Germans in general were against the Jews was the large persecuted Jewish population Germany took in from Russia in the 1800's and very generously set up with farms, tools, livestock, etc. Now, WWI was fought basically to a stalemate with all parties involved bled white and ready to go home with the map of Europe largely unchanged. Along comes a Zionist (Rothschild?) who traded the promise of a fresh allie(the US) to Britain for British creation of a Jewish homeland in Israel after the war.(The Balfour declaration) Instead of all the combatants going home to lick their wounds without much of a surrender, the US's Jewish population caused the US to enter the war which resulted in the defeat of Germany which resulted in the disastrous Treaty Of Versailles which stripped Germany of industrial productivity infrastructure and contributed greatly to the VERY ruinous depression in Germany in the 1930's. So Germans weren't very charitably disposed toward Jews after a Jew(s) repaid German kindness with the geo-political treachery that resulted in Germany losing WWI. Along came the immigrant Jewish pawn brokers and land buyers who refused to pay more than fractions of a cent on the Mark for anything the economic depression starved Germans had to sell. These Jewish opportunists had access to capital from outside of Germany and, when a German in the '30's got so hungry and so desperate they were willing to part with their family heirloom gold watch or jewelry or farm, the Jews always had ready cash and bought up large swaths of prime German real estate and farms as well as tons of family gold and jewelry. Pretty much anything of value, the Jews bought and paid nearly nothing. So instead of repaying the German kindness for taking them in and setting them up, the Jews took gross advantage of the Germans and basically plundered what was left by the treaty of Versailles. I'm not saying that Hitler and the Germans were right in carrying out the Holocaust, far from it........but I kind of understand.

Non-Japanese have a hard enough time with some of the Japanese jokes based around puns and cultural references that an expert would still not do better than a native on - what an uneducated perspective talking about getting educated; pot calling kettle black much? And yes, given that todays schools for who knows how long have been fading from teaching history to indoctrination of activists, that the statement is likely quite true - the Teachers out themselves on TikTok all the bloody time about how they've got to teach the children things that aren't part of their what they get paid for because they feel they must - its abuse of power\\authority at its most basic level and bullying and possibly actual abuse of children at its worst. I'm not Jewish, but know enough about history given my age and what I've witnessed to know the less intimate bits are quite true. Not sure if you're trolling or serious, young enough to know nothing but willing to throw your hat in the ring, or what, but if you have any age on you, you and didn't live under a rock, you know what was said wasn't a falsehood, on the facts, but as far as someone else's lived experience how can you gainsay what you clearly have no insight into, ie how well the other person's Professors covered the subject of M.E. Anybody who sees this and didn't notice Ben hasn't condemned Israel at all should re-evaluate the validity of what he said. This wasn't an accurate representation of a situation from both sides. If you think all Ben said clarifies the situation then I got news for ya. The biggest red flag when someone is telling you something like this and has nothing to say that is negative to the side they support (Israel is the world leader in killing children- Average life expectancy in Palestine is less than 21 which is crazy). It says a lot when people don't immediately question that information that is clearly one sided. Remember that the Palestinians are a mixture of Jewish, Christians, and Muslims- All are a Semetic people by origin in that area. It's just so happened three major religions originated in the Middle-East. As expected, many people converted. Palestine is the oldest Muslim and Christian nation in history. Ben is saying Jewish people were always present. That is correct. They are the Palestinians. There was mass immigration into Palestine from Europe. They no longer have a right to the land. It makes no sense that they are considered "indigenous". No one here would even amuse the thought of the indigenous people in America taking it back- they would be put down real fast. They've been distinct this whole time and none have needed to immigrate after hundreds of years which is a much more powerful connection that any Jewish person in the world automatically having a right to the land of Israel. Think about that. Israel as a state is what matters. There were documents that defined the land and borders of Palestine and Israel. The UN did a terrible job of dividing this land in a reasonable way. It looks like a jigsaw puzzle. By international law, Israel is illegally occupying Palestinian land- this is a fact. Israel is known to consistently encroach beyond the Palestinian border. When they built a wall to prevent conflicts between Israelis and Palestinians except they built the wall well into Palestine instead of on the border. Imagine your neighbor is building a fence between your home for privacy and builds it two feet into your backyard- that would be quite the piss off and I am sure you respond in a way you feel is appropriate. The six-day war was a surprise attack from perception of war. I can't say I know for sure if a war was imminent. It is conjecture. However, Ben's education would likely gloss over that since he went to Jewish school. What is true is that tensions were high and there was a lot of hate. The Yom Kippur War was won by the Egypt and got their land back. Bill Clinton was actually the closest person to ever to achieving peace between Palestine and Israel. Palestine should have negotiated and given access to all religious sites with pertinence to Jewish people. However, the reason that negotiations fell through is for a couple reasons likely that Israel would continue to control water supply and imports and exports. Who on earth would say yes to that? Saying that every concession was given is factually incorrect- more "generous than usual" seems great but it needs context as what that means. Wording is important. The fact that Israel has by definition created an apartheid that great minds like Malcom X, Nelson Mandela, and Albert Einstein all condemn strongly everything that Israel has done the last 70 years of its existence. The videos the "prove" that building managers in Palestine would let everyone in a building die for news is really ridiculous- any amount of critical thinking would immediately send doubt through the entire narrative. What do they gain? How did Israel even get this building managers number? Why did they attack a residential building? Now, there are much more Israeli soldiers who have openly come out and confessed their crimes and the weight of guilt they feel. Palestinians aren't allowed to rest. Every night soldiers go through their homes to ensure that they never feel safe. Videos of Israeli citizens smiling while taking pictures of Palestinians mobbed in the street. The hate is strong on both sides and Palestinians have also mobbed Israelis at times when found in their territory. Israel and Zionist schools have a strong propaganda which must be addressed. This propaganda is likely present in the warring Arab countries as well. This results in a lack of human consideration on all sides but Arab countries have stopped attacking Israel. The problem now is the power dynamic- A fully funded, US supported military (3.6 billion) with a world renowned defense system vs. people with rocks, faulty rockets, and extreme poverty. It makes no sense that Israel is unable to target the one group that is actually attacking them (as well as the Palestinian people). Hamas's existence was started (allegedly) and supported (overtly) by Israel. As they rose to power, they cut their ties to Israel for reasons I do not know from everything I've seen. Abbas and Netanyahu have both used propaganda against an enemy to retain power prior to an election or when needing support. It truly disgusts me. Their corruptness and greed is simply abhorrent. I hate that anti-semetic attacks have risen when many Jewish people support Palestine and are against the actions in Israel. Jewish people don't deserve any hate any violence or ill will. Some people look for excuses to support their internal biases against a people- confirmation bias- and will use any excuse to act on it. If you have read this far, thank you for reading.

    @@elypearl826 Iran and the US are enemies because the first one doesn't want to exchange their oil for dollars, and this has led to conflict since the Islamic revolution happened. Before the revolution, Iran was under a US-approved government, and they sold oil for dollars. After that ended in 1979, the US started wars against Iran (the Iran-Irak war, where they supported Saddam against them). Their only objective is to obtain their oil. They don't really care about it being a theocracy (if they did, they'd be enemies with Arabia too, and they wouldn't have supported a dictator like Saddam). All of this has made the Iranian government very anti-America. Israel is the US' best friend in the region, and the US uses that friendship to destabilize the Middle East. This time, the terrorist attack of Hamas has given an excuse to Israel-US to start a war there, and I think they wanted to see how Iran would react against something like this (that's why, in the context of war, they bombed the Iranian embassy in Damascus). The Israel-Palestinian conflict is used by the US to destabilize the region, as a way to control their influence over there.

    It's not about education. The Liberals and Democrats hate America and are doing everything in their power to destroy this country, from making deals with our enemies to distancing themselves from our allies. Look at it this way. The Liberals and Democrats of America are basically selling America's destruction to the highest bidder. Which is why they are anti Christian, anti Jew, anti 2nd amendment, pro abortion and pro open border. Everything the Liberals and Democrats want is basically dismantling this great nation, piece by piece.

    I was a tourist in Jerusalem in December 2019. Wanting to visit the Temple Mount, my friends and I were asking around for directions at the local marketplace below. One of my friends happened to ask someone whom I assume was a non-Jewish shopkeeper. He was offended that we referred to Temple Mount as a temple, and solemnly insisted that "there is no temple, only a mosque". My friend who wasn't familiar with the terminology of Abrahamic religions was confused as to why there would be no temple, so he continued to press for the location of the "temple". The shopkeeper and his brothers got visibly angry at us and he raised his voice almost threateningly to insist that we call it a mosque and not a temple. I got scared so I said "okay, yes we're looking for this place, how can we get to it?" and he pointed us in the direction of Temple Mount and said "the mosque is that way". We hurried away from their angry stares as I contemplated how there was so little tolerance for even tourists who are somehow expected to also give concessions on a linguistic level in the supposed Jewish state.

  • @rhh3582

    @rhh3582

    Your friend was wrong in pressing the issue. At that time Jerusalem was a divided city - and Christians/Jews called that physical place one thing but people of other faiths Arabs/Muslims called it by another name. Jerusalem in fact it still divided - Trump added fire when he moved the United States Embassy to Jerusalem from TelAviv. If you had been treated as all Arabs/Muslims had been treated by Jewish people you would not have wondered why there was so little tolerance. How would you like to live like a prisoner all your life watched constantly, denied any rights, be treated like dirt. You and your friend should have known that the city was a divided city before you traveled to Israel. I strongly suggest you view the You Tube interview between Ben Shapiro and Piers Morgan made shortly after October 7th.
