I agree, all of these are amazing neighborhoods and schools! I grew up in Villages of Westcreek when 1604 was still a 2 way road and we were miles from grocery stores and school. You mentioned the mature trees, I remember the builder taking care to preserve original trees on the lot, and not clearing it all out to just to plop large houses on tiny lots like you see in the newer developments. I wish there had been a little better planning of the roadway infrastucture in Alamo Ranch. My family now lives just a little further than Stillwater Ranch in Wingate and it's now a chore to take the drive out to visit them. There are no shortcut and easy ways in and out of this area. I also don't love that another developer bulldozed some beautiful bluebonnet fields to put tiny, monopoly houses. I hope developers will take better care to preserve our beautiful Texas landscape. Great video!

Great video, love the content. That area of town is appealing. I decided to settle in castle hills after moving to SA due to the large lots, tree canopies and mid-century charm. Ironically when I travel out to the far west side to visit friends, it doesn't fill like SA... similar developments are being done in far Eastside near Randolph AFB in St Hedwig and Schertz.

I’ve lived in the Redbird Ranch neighborhood since 2015, and couldn’t be happier. Other then the Villages of Westcreek (kind of too old of homes, and not as well kept up as other community’s for me) I agree with most of the community’s that were mentioned. There has been some unwanted crime in, and around the Bella Vista lately. So that’s why I prefer the tucked away community’s on the far West Side better. My top 5 community’s on the far west side of San Antonio are… 1-Redbird Ranch, 2-Potranco Ranch, 3-Alamo Ranch, 4- Brigs Ranch, and lastly 5-the community’s of TRP (Texas Research Parkway). Top reasons I picked these community’s are… 1- The high sense of community, and diversity, 2- a country feel, and no city taxes, 3- the Best school district in San Antonio NSISD, 4- the ease of traffic, and quick access to the cities highway system. 5- and lastly even though these community’s have allot of homes in them at night it’s dead silent (which is something that you wouldn’t expect in larger packed communities)

78218 has some really nice ranch style homes from mid century on west of I35, and is literally next to Terrel Hills and Alamo Heights. It is a very affordable area too. They got a few good Korean and other Asian markets there too. I'd stay west of 35/inside 410 though. I heard Camelot area and areas further east used to get a little iffy long time ago, although nothing like Brooklyn where I'm from. 78232 is just residential area of Hollywood Park and Hill Country Village with very rural feel and nice mid century homes. On the pricey side though. Where will you be working at?

We moved adjacent to Alamo Ranch and, of the 4 areas of town we’ve lived in, this is the least convenient. All that growth he talks about equals major congestion to the point you almost don’t want to drive anywhere in the afternoons. And his comment about restaurant choices is a complete joke, unless fast food chains are your thing. He is right about having lots of big box stores, though.
