Well Darryl is milking a cow. Hardly the stuff of the upper echelons. The only one who isnt doing the weird "never existed in real life, cartoon peasant, Dick Van Dyke, cor blimey gov'nr" accent that all Americans do very poorly and exactly the same way for some reason, to try to mimic British people, is Nathaniel, who does a passable RP English accent, in character for the toff he is playing.

Sometimes I just burst into song and free style my songs. I have one called "My Point of No Return" which was my breaking point. I was never the same after that. I must have been mad dissociating because it felt so real haha.

the show is showing us that Rebecca is forcing the narrative of woman scorned on her ("do i fight back. fight back. FIGHT BACK. FIGHT BACK") when she's really devastated and doesn't know what to do. The level of detail is insane

@@tomasroque3338 Well pretzels have been an established symbol of West Covina since the first episode, in the song "West Covina": "And I've never seen a pretzel this big!" That, plus she is lifted up whilst seated on a giant pretzel prop in the same number. But, a least to me, it's only a symbol of West Covina that Rebecca holds and it isn't ever affiliated with any of the residents of West Covina, suggesting that it more so symbolises a very idealised West Covina that she thinks will solve her problems. So I interpret her stepping on the pretzel as a sort of disillusionment with what West Covina has to offer, since this really represents a drastic change in her development

@@cneale9431 That's certainly true, though I think expanding on that, the pretzel also represents her 'twisted mind' and her attempts to better herself (which, again, as represented in the idealism you talk about). But this is also a point where she takes a MAJOR step backwards in her work on her mental health, breaking/undoing all the work she's done up until this point.

Is this show were a stage musical, this song would be a great way to open the second act.

"You're fired again, George" sings Nathaniel in a British accent. The audience goes wild. Aaaaaaah! I missed this show! I'm in love with this song! Rebecca's part was chilling! It made my heart sink to my stomach. So excited! What a great opening song!

Paula's accent is on point. She would be great in Sweeny Todd!

I want him to have one too, but I'm wondering if he never will. Rebecca's always shown an aversion to him, way from the start. He also deals with his problems way differently to her, because he's very honest and upfront. He's like an anti-Rebecca, which could mean he'll never get a proper song.

This reminds of "Rumour in St. Petersburg" from Anastasia.

Legit gasped when she stepped on the pretzel.

Season three has the best music in this show. This song, Strip Away My Conscience, Head in the Clouds, Buzzing from the Bathroom, I Go to the Zoo, End of the Movie, and more. All so good, even by this show's already very high standards.

So can we take a moment to appreciate that "If I were her, I'd kill myself"? And I've just started re watching the series (because it's so genius and I can't wait for next season) and young Rebecca jokes about "suicidal thoughts" in the very second scene of the first episode of season 1!!!! Like talk about foreshadowing!

Thank you for putting opened captions on the recent music videos. The closed captions didn’t always work and I’ve been wanting to show these songs to my boyfriend who is deaf. Again, thank you, it means a lot to me that my favorite tv show and it’s songs are accessible to show to my boyfriend.

I feel bad for Rebecca but at the same time I feel like she really needed someone on the outside looking in as a voice of reason. Maybe there were people who served that purpose and she just didn't want to listen. Josh is not that great of a guy she put on a pedestal. He's in his 30's and works a part time job. He lives with his parents when he's in between girlfriends. He lacks any ambition other than just chilling and having "Bro" time with his friends. He's emotionally stunted. And Intellectually there's not much going on. I mean it took him forever and a day to figure out Rebecca moved to West Covina to be with him. And even then she had to spell it out for him. She's angry and sad now but in the long run. She'll realize him dumping her was the best thing for her. She really dodged a bullet.

Rachel Bloom is very intelligent to show it enough times, Bunch isn't perfect, and in fact, is obsessed. If you think about it, while a career was forced on her to fill expectations, she really did get the hang of control, something she lost shortly before Season 1. As I will binge the current season, I'm not on the up and up with the current one, but the first two clearly spell out that she's out of control and cannot be held accountable. The issues the show itself raises is very important, no question about it, but it also doesn't lie about the fact, Bunch is a woman who in real life really would cook your bunny if things don't go her way. I had a similar relationship, so in my view, it's the priest who dodged the bullet. Bunch is smart, very sexy, but also very disturbed and needs help.

@Gabriel your response ignores all the writing that has been put into Rebecca's character. Both of them 'dodged a bullet' but to be honest Rebecca is the one who would have come out worse. Josh represents lost opportunities, before she was forced down a path that made her so unhappy. Because of this association it would have been likely had she married Josh, she would have become beyond help because the thing that she thought would make her happy failed. We see this side when she (spoiler) attempts suicide on the plane, but I think that part of her realised that actually she had something to live for in her friends. If she had married Josh and then discovered that in fact she would have problems just as she's had prior to marrying Josh, I don't think that she would have had the same will to live.

So... Rachel has always had an AMAZING voice, but I feel that she has improved even MORE! So good!

one thing I love with this song is checking out everyone's English accents! SCOTT!! MY WORD!!! I mean, hardly anyone actually talks like that, but for once that actually makes it better. That aside, WOW! I think that's one of the best R.P.s I've ever heard, brits included! Hats off to you mate!
