My second daughter had a similar nature. One afternoon after school, I made fourteen ice cream cones for her classmates. Fortunately, once the freezer was empty, they all went home. This would also happen on camping trips. Before the tent was up, she'd disappear then turn up five minutes later with a horde of her 'new friends'. Her kindness often left me broke. But the memories are priceless.

In 71 Shep brought home hungry dog. Brought upstairs waiting once poured food he too let stray eat first.

The most talented herding puppy ever, making insane progress in the herding approach. Instead of border collies working hard, moving left and right behind the flock, this puppy just walked up to the sheep saying "Follow me, please".

My neighbor’s cat brought home a pit bull puppy once. We never figured out where he found her and, even though she was obviously well taken care of, no one claimed her so they kept her. But they had a very stern talk with Mr. Chan about bringing home other people’s pets. 😂

This reminds me of the family I made while in the Army, we didn't care where you were from, what your beliefs were, we meshed, bonded, fought, cried and held on. AFTER the Army tho, things fell apart due to differences the world told us we had, the lines through race and injustice got bigger and bigger until WE were down to US, smh...It still breaks my heart, something in me definitely died in the midst of so much venom from those I thought I knew and would've died for unquestionably😔

err ... sheep, dogs, goldfish, cows, cats, goats, giraffes, whales, elephants, tigers, lions, frogs, mice, chickens, eagles, foxes, rats, rabbits, donkeys, snakes, dolphins, tortoises, ducks, horses ... and most of all, LABRADORS.
