Lucas for sure my favorite 💜🍃

I love Elizabeth and Lucas’ chemistry. But either way everyone on the show does an excellent job at acting. Rosemary is one of my favorite characters. I stopped watching after Jack died, but recently I bought seasons 6-8 and loved it.

Donna Woodward---- I totally disagree!! Nathan is the perfect match for Elizabeth. I see Lucas as being jealous of Nathan and I don't trust Lucas for some reason.

@Kevin Mcgarry Hi Kevin--- are U Nathan? Unfortunately, I just started watching the show at the beginning of season 8. From the 1st episode, I just loved it even though I didn't see the show from the very beginning. I'm anxiously awaiting the finale in hopes that Elizabeth chooses Nathan!!! The chemistry between these two is obvious (at least to me it is!!) I would take Nathan in a heartbeat because he demonstrates how much he loves Elizabeth through his character. You're a wonderful actor and I hope you incur a great deal of success in your career!! I really appreciate your writing back to me and wish you all the best in the future. Barb Frackman

Lucas is so sweet.

Just watch the Home & Family interview with Chris McNally & Kevin Mc Garry & they are both wonderful people. I've seen them both on a couple other individual interviews & they do not disappoint. As far as their other Hallmark movies, again, they are both so good there's no way to pick one above the other. Right now, my favorite movies are: Chris in Sailing into Love, Kevin in Winter Castle & Erin in It was Always You. I'm one of the very few that still buys DVD's & the only DVD I need is Erin's movie & that's because it's still fairly new. Oh, & I have all of WCTH, just need Season 8 to come out & I'll be getting that. But back to the original issue, I'm 100% Team Lucas.

@Kevin Mcgarry We're in Utah. Yes, I started watching WCTH about the time Elizabeth & Jack got married. Then Jack died & you & Chris were added. I'm pretty much a Hallmark junkie. I'll have to look up that other show you're on to see what it's like.

Nathan - such a sweetheart and a great actor. Can't wait for the finale to see the kiss. You go Nathan. We all love you and wish your season was so much longer.

For those saying that Nathan is too serious or not romantic enough, please consider that he had the weight of Jack's death on his conscience all this time. I think we can see a very different Nathan now that that burden has been lifted, and Elizabeth has told him she doesn't blame him. They haven't even had a date, so who knows how romantic he can get. I think we are going to see a whole new and improved Nathan.

Yes I totally agre...everyone delated Nathan because he was not doing anything to orientate himself to Elizabeth. I saw a lot of emotions and passions between them. As you say Nathan could not do anything more because he felt quilty. I think now we see another Nathan!

Agree, he is not as rich as L but he has had a great rich life experiences that he draw on from, caring for his niece, to be strong n committed to his calling and true to himself in every way, been very patient w E not interjecting when E n L seen tog in HV for 3 episodes, not pushing E ...except declaring his love when confronted by E, talks to him on deeper matters, that E initiates most of the time, .more substance I think to Nathan's character - suited for E being a city well off girl! Its abt selfless love too and service as their innate chemistry, mountie n teacher, ..just my humble thoughts and hope for the best man for E n LJ happiness ❤ .

I think the endgames are going to be Lucas & Elizabeth and Nathan & Fiona. LucaBeth are about to go through some angst, which usually happens right before the couple that is meant to be together unites for good. They've also been throwing subtle hints at an N/F pairing: Nathan walking up to Fiona and Hickam during the bachelor/bachelorette party, Allie/Fiona bonding over fishing, and there's a spoiler photo of there being a scene between Nathan and Fiona in episode 11. They even had Fiona friendzone Hickam in the last episode to create a path for N/F. #TeamLucas

I don't think they would pair Nathan & Fiona since their actors are dating irl and that's not always the best idea. I heard rumors that Kayla Wallace (Fiona) herself said she doesn't think that would work because of their relationship off screen. Just my opinion here: I think whichever guy does not get chosen should date a new character later in the future.

We also don't know for sure how much had been written/filmed when Kevin and Kayla started dating. Thank goodness we only have to wait 12 more days to find out some of these answers!

If Lucas does not win Elizabeth's heart, I do not think he will go with Fiona or anyone else soon. He once said that when it comes to his soul mate he would wait as long as he had to, to win her heart. I think it was when they were gone overnight to the reading.

I think Lucas would probably leave Hope Valley. the only reason he stayed for this long has been Elizabeth, he even told his mother this. Lucas is a man who doesnt stay in one place for that long but for Elizabeth and seeing a future with her - he has waited and would settle down. So i doubt he would stay (even though i know the actor isnt leaving - the character in what he does makes sense if u get what i mean) For me I think E and L are perfect match in all areas.

After the last episode, I am convinced it would be #TeamLucas and Fiona & Nathan. People have been suggesting Lucas & Fiona should be together. Screen writers rarely put two similar people like Lucas & Fiona together. Why? In real life these two may be compatible, but on screen, in a drama, the story would fizzle out! Now Fiona and Nathan- that's a story that gives writers endless scope: because they would bring out different sides of each other we haven't seen . For a start, both are loyal, have spunk and love fishing ! And Fiona is not the type to fear Nathan's mountie adventures; this woman rushed to put out a fire ! Cherry on top of the cake : the actors are dating in real life . We would have not one but two great love stories !

The only ppl who suggest L and F is TN lol. But I think Fiona would suit Nathan cos he needs a woman who would liven him abit and opposite to him. And I think Lucas and Elizabeth fit and connect better and have a relationship growing

@@nav2523 Agree. Nathan may actually be more fun with Fiona around. He has plenty of responsibilities, though young himself and Fiona's spiritedness could be the counterpoint to his seriousness. Lucas and Elizabeth challenge each other in different ways. There is no one else in town he has opened up this much to; and for E, it is Lucas slowly helping her move forward , be it realising a dream or in opening her heart to love.

@@shay7210 I wonder if the show are waiting to explore him more when he is with Elizabeth, and see them navigate together as a couple and individually too but together. I would prefer that. Lucas also keeps his vulnerability inside him and his pain etc, so I can see Elizabeth get to those parts of him. Also we know that the reason he has stayed so long in Hope Valley is because of Elizabeth.

@@shay7210 Yes, what we have seen with E & L just scratches the surface and that has been fascinating in itself. Chris McNally talking about Lucas in this interview made me understand better why Lucas is also more distant, friendly but more formal with people . It also explains his interactions with baby Jack vs Nathan's interactions with Baby Jack. And this season as you said did not give L much of a storyline on his own though it kept showing us more facets of his character (while Nathan's arc with Allie has had more emphasis). Next season's journey for these characters should be truly riveting

Both actors are great. I like both Chris and Kevin and their characters are great additions to the show. But the triangle HAS to end with Elizabeth and Nathan otherwise the story wouldn’t make sense. Some people claim that the show shouldn’t take the “obvious”/“classic” route and pick Lucas but that wouldn’t make sense. In my opinion, the reason Nathan seems like the “obvious” choice is because we have been SHOWN signs that make that so. We have seen the intense interactions between Elizabeth and Nathan that shows us Elizabeth has strong feelings for him. If Lucas was meant to be the choice, then there would be no triangle because he’s clearly perfect: he’s generous, thoughtful, rich, educated, handsome, has things in common with Elizabeth I.e. books, is helping her publish her book, does the romantic gestures perfectly, is patient, is respectful, says all the right things, doesn’t have a dangerous job/is not a Mountie...etc. If Elizabeth didn’t feel more strongly for Nathan, there would be no question. No triangle. Nathan’s presence could’ve been a slight hiccup had he actually actively pursued Elizabeth in the beginning (like Rosemary or Charles). But he never did. Elizabeth continuously sought him out. Elizabeth’s heart is clearly with Nathan and the show is called When Calls the Heart for goodness sake! The only way this makes sense is if Elizabeth chooses Nathan. Their love story would be the greatest love! And even more powerful than Jack and Elizabeth. The “unexpected” choice would only make sense if we were watching a psychological thriller.

100% agree.. .the...signs were always there for these 2.....wood carvings N gave to E, ...the questions..." whats in your heart ❤"...to me its marker for deeper connection between them...WCTH is about love that is patient, kind and pure...two noble professions!! "Red serge and the Teacher!!" Fiona is great with Lucas or Hickam..love R and Lee too..all casts are wonderful but I am Team Grant family!!

I Love Lucas mannerism of being patient with her and not forcing her emotions But Nathan is forcing her emotions to commit because he says he loves her, While her real emotions are towards her son and trying to find times with him is hard. I don't think she would be able to care for another high strung child and new Husband while trying to give little Jack her time, I think she won't choose any right now and I could understand. But Lucas won my heart.

Very Hallmark thing to do lol. Somewhat reminded me of Jack seeing Charles and Elizabeth moment. And Some ppl are saying she goes to him about Rosemary missing? I only heard this speculation on twitter

@@aryanjones6426 I actually thought the same thing about Elizabeth going to Lucas about Rosemary. I said maybe he goes to rescue her and gets hurt, but a Nathan said no Nathan will be the hero. I guess we will see.

I would rather have her be with Nathan, but with two years of this going on, I don't care who she picks. It does seem like Lucas is too perfect (like no one is perfect) and is always watching her.

Nathan hasn't had a chance to show his chemistry . Elizabeth has been too busy holding hands and sitting next to the shifty bartender . Lol high school stuff at best. What's next have the writers got her playing he loves me he loves me not with flower pedals. Haha let's hope this story line ends soon

It would be funny if Nathan pulls a 'Scarlet, I don't give a damn' moment. Also, Lucas will break it off as he's upset over her with Nathan and assuming something that may not be there. She'll end up with no-one. It would serve her right as she was a total bitch to Nathan all season. Just like Scarlet, she'll realize her mistake and will end up with no one. There will be no Tara, but little Jack will be there.
