what makes me sad is how sweet the wife seems to be, she's so thankful and gets very little. $20 for some stamps or ribbon and she's so happy. meanwhile this jerk is spending THOUSANDS on building this bunker and then blaming his financial ruin on her. Like, what???? He killed his whole family because I believe he's a narcissist. He didnt see them as individuals but as extensions of himself, and if he saw no more future for them in his life, then to him it was like he could not imagine them having a future at all. Truly sad and insane. I hope the family and the victims find peace.

21:15 I think people feel like getting married is one of the things they need to do in life to finally be happy. "If i get married then i can finally feel accomplished and be happy". He likely thought this would be the answer but it only brough on more responsibilities and didnt fix a thing.

This and I don't think he ever thought he would have to take care of someone with a disability. Alot of people never think about it until it happens. A back injury, a stroke, long term covid, cancer. Its alot of work being the person who has to do everything in the house including being a caretaker for your partner, and it's easy to burn out. Especially when you throw kids and financial troubles into the mix. Its absolutely not an excuse whatsoever for what he did, but I wonder if he had gotten help instead of isolating himself in the woods with his thoughts if this whole tragedy could have been avoided.

With psychos like this, he probably felt that he had to get married and have a kid so that he could "blend" in and look normal and try and hide the sick thoughts in his head. Like many years ago... when homosexuality was taboo. Unfortunately, many gay men back then felt like they had to get married and have kids to try and hide their "secret".

@@LalaDepala_00 Unsurprising, honestly. I am currently dealing with some semi-long sickness (Pneumonia, ear/eye/throat infections, joyful stuff like that) and just these past two weeks have put a lot of pressure on my boyfriend. I can mostly take care of myself, but I am not able to do anything physical or go outside, and when I do try to do chores he gently tells me off and to "go back to bed and get better", so most of those chores have fallen to him. Despite how brilliant he has been (driving me to the hospital/making sure I take my meds/making me easy to digest food/cleaning the apartment/doing the laundry), I can tell he's burning the candle on both ends and is starting to become a little irritable. God, I want to help so badly, but he sees that as me delaying my getting better. ;_; I try to do little things instead, like ordering in his favourite snacks/drinks or leaving the living room so he can be alone for an hour or two when he comes home (He's very introverted). Sadly, it doesn't quite do the trick. I cannot imagine how life must be with chronic pain, disabilities or serious illnesses like cancer. That must be MURDER on any relationship. (excuse the pun)

This is so sad. It was heartbreaking every time hearing the wife talk about how a good of a husband he is. She thought this whole time he was being a supportive loving husband when in reality he is her murderer and the murderer of their daughter and dog. It must have been the ultimate betrayal. I couldn't imagine all the pain and suffering they felt. It is shocking that you never truly know someone despite how long you know them. It angers me so much that he resorted to murdering his family when he could have just left... He was knew he was going to take his life. He killed them for nothing. He is a monster. RIP Lynnettee, Kaylene, and Dino. The monster can rot in hell.

It's crazy how you can meet a murderer and never know it. They can seem perfectly normal and nice in every aspect. A couple of years ago, I worked at a small department store and we had to push rewards cards on people. I had this one customer who used hers, and her name was Jennifer Hudson. She stood out to me because she had the same name aa the singer. A week or so after that, she was on the news having been arrested in a murder for hire that had taken place.

Imagine having a beautiful daughter who just graduated highschool, who wants to go to college and keeps on growing, find a job and become SOMEONE who she is proud of ... and yet this failure of a dad says she had nothing .... This is why therapy exists. Not everyone thinks its for them, but the difference talking to someone makes is a lot bigger than anyone can ever realize. If this guy had someone to talk to about all these struggles, this entire situation could have been avoided. I feel like if there was ever anyone (alive) who knew the guys past, they would have come onto the video to talk about what happened years ago.

Love your reactions, but the narrator has zero clue about mental illness and depression. Even a deep depressive episode or full-on psychosis does not magically make you want to kill someone. If anything, you want to hurt yourself. Depression and trauma also doesn't make you hyper-aware of how you appear. That is simply insecurity or even schizofrenia. To me it appears like Peter was a sociopath. A depressed sociopath. The main things he talks about are how bad he looks and how poor he is. Never an ounce of sympathy for his wife or daughter.

@ She never said that. She said, "I don't want to get married". She said she didn't want to get married not that she wanted to get married just not to him; some people aren't that interested in marriage. Also, he was wanting to get married within ONE MONTH of being official and proposed at THREE MONTHS of the relationship. That is insane. She told him she wasn't interested in marriage at the beginning of the relationship also it is reasonable to not want to get married so early in the relationship. He kept pressuring her into a marriage just for him to not want one. You're trying to paint the victim that got murdered as a bad human being and not the murderer that murdered his family, wild.

I mean, we can speculate all we want why he did it or how he felt towards her but it will never provide closure because we don't really know much aside from these vlogs he did. I don't think he loved her anymore (he may have loved her in the past) and possibly saw his daughter and her as obstacles, trapping him from living his life in that bunker, away from social responsibilities etc, in a sense I think he couldn't be 'free' with them alive. It's sad how he projects that his wife is draining his money while HE is the one spending all this money on a bunker in the damn forest and she's shown herself nothing but appreciative for her husband's 'generosity'... It's honestly scary how to his daughter and wife and friends he seemed like a loving husband-- the fact that someone could just be harboring those dreadful thoughts and show no remorse is horrifying. He didn't just snap one day...he planned for it. Horrible really.

hard to judge, the man clearly had mental problems all along and tried to have a normal life without talking about it and without treating it, the problem with traumas and similar mental illnesses is that they somehow convince you to never show it and talk about it in order to solve the problem in the best way, and in the end, this is what happens
