    Wheel of Time review Season 2 Episode 4, I'm a bit behind but with a story like this, that's a good thing! Min decides to sign up with the Forsaken Ishmael like he's not just told her he's the devil. Lan spends the episode whining about Moiraine who can apparently maintain a warder bond while "stilled". Rand instantly finds out Lanfear has been after him when Moiraine magically finds him. No-one knows how she knew. And Liandrin simultaneously cares about Nynaeve and sends her to Falme? Why have you done this? Rafe Judkins has systematically stripped every character of their best parts, it's impressive at this point how little of the books is in the show. But what did you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

    It would be so awesome if someone made a show based on the wheel of time books!

    Never read the book, but I always get the impression that a bunch of 'writers' decided to 'improve' it by going inserting a lot "And then this happened" into the story.

    Perfect tagline for the audiobooks "It's like the Amazon show, but actually well-written and fantastic!"

    There are a few people defending this show because the writers give us bits and pieces from the books. It's broken, but too many fans (more than 0 is too many FYI)are desperate to enjoy what they get. Unfortunately, I'm not desperate enough to cope through this.

    I was so checked out I didn't even notice they could not get the simple act of mopping a floor right. The show truly radiates a massive amount of Don't Think About It just Let It Happen.

    Rafe keeps inserting female characters into the plot, and he forgets that there was actual was a woman that helped Rand with the Game of Houses. A woman that has more space in the book than any other female character: Verin.

    Elayne actually did go to Flame... so did min. Moraine did have sisters, two of them in fact (Anvaere & Innloine), but to the best of my recollection neither ever showed up in the series because they weren't interested in politics (one was into hunting and one was a homemaker) and house Damodred was despised after the death of her uncles, and the burning of the topless towers in the aiel war.

    None of this is the Wheel of Time... its not based on the source material so you can't called it the Wheel of Time can you...

    I have absolutely no dog in this fight. No knowledge of Wheel of Time at all. That said, these videos are fucking gold! I get to keep up with a show I would never watch, and actually be entertained while doing it. Cheers!

    Book spoilers: Early on in The Great Hunt, we learn something about Moiraine. She's not afraid of being stilled. Every other Aes Sedai is terrified of losing her power. That's how dedicated she is the Dragon Reborn. Rafe destroyed this important bit of characterization by having her lose her powers. Another important fact: Lan is fond of Rand. Lan's mentor/apprentice relationship with Rand forces Moiraine to stop thinking about Rand as nothing but the Dragon Reborn and see him a scared but brave boy who needs her protection. I don't think Rafe comprehends a relationship that doesn't involve getting horizonal. This show gives us so much of Moiraine but also so little of her.

    Love how the whole dynamic with Rand and Selene is that she is supposed to be the most beautiful woman ANY man has ever seen and she constantly tries to use that against Rand to seduce him and due to Rand's morals he always rejects her and that specifically is what leads to a huge plot point later on...that the show will never be able to do correctly because Selene and Rand have now slept together...destroying Rand, his morality, selene's goals and his relationship with Aviendha, Min and Elayne who bond over worrying about Rand slipping...but never does...oh well I guess.

    Lol they destroyed the reason Elayne wanted to go with Egwene and Nynaeve too... Elayne met Rand in her palace and she fell in love Immediately. Rand, Mat and Perrin were all together so Liandrin said they were all in danger. Elayne came with them because she wanted to help Rand, the guy she fell head over heels for. But in this show they haven't met 😅

    In their efforts to make strong, powerful women, there is no IP that modern writers will not castrate.

  • @deemcclanahan
    @deemcclanahan

    at this point in the story, Rand was still in love with Egwyne and even turned down several women because he still felt "tied" to Egwyne. It wasn't till AFTER he gained the crystal sword and became the dragon reborn, that they both agreed that they would go different directions.

    Let the savagery commence! I could watch this for hours, takes a lot of the sting out of having what maybe the only serious attempt at a WoT tv show utterly ruined by Rafe and his cronies.
