I really don’t know why max would leave a builders cup team for the 4th-5th fastest car out there? Seems like a really dumb move. Even if he wants a challenge, Mercedes is struggling, they’re not making a championship winning car at the moment.

I can’t imagine…, but everything is possible. but if it turns out that something really happened, ... the cards are different. I would think it would be a shame for the entire team, which ran like clockwork and ditto the atmosphere. Also important. We'll see what happens, in any case the consequences will be major, also for Max's competitiveness. If Mercedes can't make that happen, Max's dreams are in question.

What if Max leaves for Mercedes and Carlos takes his seat in RB and show how superior the car is. And Max experience the lack of results from Hamilton.

Max would be foolish not to take into account the major engine rule shakeup in 2026. Mercedes and Ferrari will very lift be on top of this, while Red Bull powertrain is very much an unknown.

If it is a physics problem, perhaps you could get a good physics scientist on your team. Germany has some of the greatest physicists in the world. max verstappen is no fool - why would a top driver winning driver's and constructor's championships leave the top team for a team that's struggled since 2022, and currently is lagging in mid field. money alone will not interest verstappen - at present mercedes cannot guarantee anything more.

Life could be rather different for Max Verstappen at Mercedes... if Hamilton and Leclerc have a competitive Ferrari, and if Red Bull hires Sainz and Alonso (why not?), the Formula One arena could completely change around, and I bet races will become a whole lot more interesting, especially if McLaren produces a competitive car! Besides, there is no way Russell will be the passive, subdued teammate as Max is so accustomed to having at RBR and will be a wake up call indeed, also, Jos V. will never have the free reign he had until now, but this he has lost regardless, so might as well jump ship with sonny. As a diehard Dutch i would much rather watch a season like 2021 than the 2023 one. Only thing that was amazing was the fact that we saw a piece of history being made last year.
