It is t going to be and never was going to be a Ford. Ford joined in to learn about hybrid engines as in the good old USA they know bugger all about them. The Red Bull engine has been designed with distance from Honda and several staff have left Honda to join the project. But then all you new F1 “fans” believe anything you read. Ford haven’t produced and F1 engine since the 1960’s! They were Cosworth engines when Cosworth was a separate company and the mighty Ford didn’t have the know how to produce a racing engine and still don’t. Bit like Mercedes can’t produce a proper car since Ross Brawn left. Oh and Mercedes could offer a million a day to Max and he wouldn’t sign because he knows there is no chance of winning with them and, that’s what Max wants to do.

Max isn't going to Merc, that's a pipe dream.

Antonelli should get his F1 license first in this season. Its not even guarenteed.

Whatever Mercedes are saving by not upgrading their car in 2024 should go into trying to poach Max. Quite honestly, I am a Lewis fan, but it makes sense for Mercedes to try and get Max. Max, then Sainz, then Alonso, then Vettel and if all else fails then Albon.

Max>Sainz>Norris>Piastri. Vettel isn't an option, he pitching his new drink company, that's why he's throwing his name out there. Toto can put Max out of his mind, he's not going to Merc. I'd say if Max makes a move at all, it would be to Aston Martin. Merc is washed unless they nail the 2026 rules.

I don’t believe Wolff and Jos Verstappen would get on very well….

This is funny, swap out Merc, for any team on the grid, add in Andretti and they'd all say the same thing: "We want to try to get Max." Max isn't going anywhere except maybe Aston Martin...maybe. Merc doesn't stand a chance at signing him unless Max is willing to accept $100 million a year to run in the mid-field.

I can't see Max leaving a winning team with three and quite possibly four after this year world titles and next year would make five. I don't believe Ford has the technology like Honda Ferrari or Mercedes so ya 2026 there is a strong possibility RB lays an egg. I could see them dumping Ford and going with Honda in 27 or 28 if that is possible

This seems like a ululating piece of factoid. What is the point of having MV if the car sucks? If Mercedes got their act together and produced a very good car as in 2014 thru 2021, Russell and whomever takes the other seat could do a fine job. Cheaper too. One thing is for sure, Georgie must be praying to God every night that Max stays where he is, for his life with Max and Jos will be hell at Mercedes.

Toto should give Alonso a 1-2 year deal and offer a seat to Verstappen in 2026 and replace Alonso and dump George for Antonelli. But he would need to fix his car first. Also, Red Bull poached half of Mercedes' engine factory and they basically got all of Honda's power train employees, so I doubt Mercedes are in a better position than Red Bull for the 2026 engine regulations.

I bet all of this rb drama occurred just because both leclerc and Lewis will earn way more than max. And I’m sure the verstappens dont like that.
