A lot of airports use buses even in Doha airport. There is nothing wrong with using buses to move passengers.

Excellent video and very well narrated content. Thank you for sharing this experience with the larger audience. For those of us who haven’t been home in a long time, it was reassuring to know that the country is modernizing. The last time I was home, over ten years ago, my experience wasn’t very good. Glad to see Murtala Muhammad airport receiving the attention that it needs. Kudos to all those involved, and please keep the high level of maintenance going. Good job everyone! Peace out!

The key challenge now is to find a way to widen the ramp so that wide-body aircraft can park and utilise the boarding bridges. I do not like the experience of checking in for my Qatar Airways flight at the new terminal in January 2023 and again, 3 weeks ago, only to go board at the D-wing of the old. The transition from new to old was underwhelming. All said, this is much better than what we have experienced for years at the old, tired, dingy international Terminal 1. Long may it be maintained and improved upon.

When they start the project, it needs to be a proper airport rather than the warehouse looking designs china has been delivering to so many countries or nigerian states. A proper edifice with good design and at least 3 terminals.

The story of Nigeria where nothing is done the right way. How is it possible that a terminal is built that cannot fit aircrafts? We should never accept incompetence at all levels.

Association of complainants! Set of people that glossed over rats justing for spaces with New Yorkers in NY and homeless people in Atlanta and California will always complain when they get to Nigeria. They will accommodate the flaws in their so-called cherished countries of America or UK where they are washing butts for a living but complain in Nigeria. Nonsense 🙈

Excellent video Adachi but you should be asking the powers that be why we always do things backwards. Why is there NOT a bridge that connects the 2 terminals? This would have solved the problem of busing people around. It can still be done but it requires the foresight of the authorities. Keep up the good work.

Did I ear that the new terminal was to cost a billion dollars? I thought it was $100m. My worry with the busing system is that it might become a permanent thing. They shouldn't order more buses and become comfortable.

I can't really say for sure. A lot have changed since this new regime. My advice is to visit the immigration website for new requirements or update.
