WHAT THOR ATE TO WIN ARNOLD CLASSIC 2019! (Stan Efferding - Matt Shop for Thor and Brian Shaw)

Спорт

Have you wondered what Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson and Brian Shaw eat before competition? Now Stan "RINO" Efferding and Matt Wenning went to costco the day before The Arnold Classic 2019 to make an in-depth two part video. Oh and as you probably know Thor won the whole darn thing so take notes!!!
The FULL VERSION is on Matt Wenning’s PATREON at the HARDCORE TIER ( / wenningstrength . It’s over one hour and ten minutes long with explanation and scientific reasoning as to why Stan gives Brian Shaw and Thor each and every ingredient on this grocery run. He tells the audience why you choose certain brands over others, which cuts of meat you should buy, what their portion sizes are, and even all the way to what nutrients a top tier power lifter should be focusing on. If you're looking to get into power lifting you should really consider joining this movement we have going on the PATREON!!!
Last year's video: • Shopping to Feed the M...
If you want to win one of the world’s toughest competitions you are going to need every single bit of information from this video. Of if you’re like us normal people this information works the same but on a smaller scale. Stan know’s what he’s talking about when focusing on nutrition and which nutrients you need demand from your diet at such large and strong sizes. No video has ever been made where two of the strongest current competitors are using a diet and the person giving them their diet is GIVING AWAY INFORMATION LIKE THIS.
Don't forget to join our Patreon community, where Matt goes further in-depth on all topics shown on his KZread channel. There are also swag discounts and equipment discounts! We're starting a movement and we'd love for you to join!

Stan! In a previous video you mentioned taking salt up to I believe 15g for some people, dependant on water intake and activity level among other things. You mentioned iodized salt as well being a good choice, but how about Himalayan salt? I ask because I use it and have been wondering about it, and Wenning asked at the end before it cut out. Great video! I’m coming back here again after recently relocated to a new town where we are more limited to higher fat steaks. It’s very true that having switched to more rib-eye has caused me to not cut weight as easily. Vertical diet is the way to go. I agree fellas, it’s also about how you feel on the diet. And how you feel affects everything.

You see these dudes in public and you may think they're just a couple of muscle heads, but in actuality they're extremely knowledgeable about diet and nutrition. The only criticism I'd give them is about dairy foods (such as yogurt) and calcium. The acids in cows milk eat away at your bones, and so you actually get a net loss of calcium by consuming dairy. Much better ways to get calcium, such as with fruits and vegetables. And even some types of fish.

unless it's brown rice, the husk/lectins in it are inflammatory. i dont see how white rice would be inflammatory, though. there's no sugar, which is what is inflammatory

It’s nice to hear a contrasting opinion once in a while. I agree with Stan that vegetable oils are detrimental and with his stance on caffeine. Rice is also the most calorie dens grain and the amino acids are absorbed significantly faster than in most other grains. Oats are also great but they are higher in protein and fat. I just wonder why he recommends eggs because they pose a risk for salmonella even when hard boiled. I know these strongman need over 8 or even 9000kcal but the amount of saturated fats and cholesterol is just rediculous on the arteries. I hope at one point both athletes can transition away to other protein and fat sources.

Wenning Strength didn’t you also lose weight? At least you were talking about losing weight in the vlog with Thor. From what I’ve seen a heart attack proof serum ldl level is 50-70ml/dl. But good to hear you had positive changes!

    Why does anyone eat eggs?

Jason blahas favorite bodybuilder I think because of subsidies eggs are cheap in a lot of Western countries and they are genuinely a bro-food in the bodybuilding community. The research on protein bio-availability also scores egg protein very high. Not that these have been shown to give a significant long term benefit when compared to equal amounts of protein from lower bio-availability sources though above an intake of 1.15g of protein per kg of bodyweight.

Wenning Strength Some sources to back up the 50-70mg/dl claim. For people who have already had a heart attack going lower than 50-70 seems to be beneficial also. www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0735109704007168?via%3Dihub www.onlinejacc.org/content/70/24/2979 www.ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.1161/CIR.0000000000000510 academic.oup.com/eurheartj/article/38/32/2459/3745109

@@WenningStrength I hear what your saying, and respect it, but Shaw has only seen a decline in performance during past few years, since doing the Efferding diet. Performance comes down to so many factors, age, training, PE drugs etc etc. But granted oranges might always be a healthy addition to any athletes diet
