What the Hell is Happening with our Government? With Amanda Seales | Baby, This Is Keke Palmer

Ойын-сауық

It feels like everyday there’s a new headline about some crazy shit going on with the government. Whether it’s Roe V. Wade being overturned or the economy crashing, things don’t seem to be running as smoothly as they should be. But are we past the point of no return, or can we turn things around? This week we are joined by the hilarious Amanda Seales, who opens our eyes to some truths about the government. Turns out those dinosaur politicians WANT us to be dumb and uniformed, but we ain’t gonna stand for that! So let’s get fired up and fix shit for ALL the people in this country.

I always say to people who say "I'm not into politics" that "politics is into you and every aspect of your life". I love Amanda's idea of a "no bad news" day. I told people when Trump got elected, we can get rid of him but those judges have to die or retire to be gone. Its not a difference of "politics" with the parties, it's a difference of"values and ethics". Republicans are harming our friends and family, and embracing racism and fascism.

This was a great find today!! First time watcher. I will be binging. 😊 On topic however, keeping in mind whom this country was built for and upon, I call all melinated to responsibly learn how to protect yourselves. Learn, comprehend and exercise, the current constitution available to you. Our right to live and breathe freely, has/is always at stake with this government. IF we continue to operate under it, we have to utilize the loopholes of it, to our greatest benefit. While holding ourselves accountable to our unity and personal code of conduct. ✊🏾Knowledge of Self creates comprehension of all others.

Yes Keke these points and explanations are valid and so self aware but the great challenge facing us as a nation is the extremism of certain groups that want to rewrite history and definitely undermine our democracy. Also, these groups appear unwilling to achieve consensus even halfway on the American experiment.

The line you said about if the women aren’t protected then the children can’t be protected struck a chord with me…. I wonder if it stems from the fact that when it comes to women and children, men look at children more of an ‘actual person’ than the mother (because CLEARLY we’re just portals for the children to come forth) so when it comes to protecting the woman (and protesting their option to not), I see how they might not even be able to comprehend that outcome…. Just a theory from observation. We need some reverse engineering in the bih!

Interviews like this is why I'll never understand all the hate Amanda gets. I've seen her do multiple interviews, with men and women. Her energy is always the same, plenty of solid celebs support Amanda. A lot of people being against someone who's outspoken with actual knowledge, doesn't always mean they are the problem. We've all heard the stories about what happens to careers when someone doesn't "join the club".

I know I’ve been commenting a lot lol but i just found the podcast last night so I’m binging, but I’m from Alabama and I think maybe ppl like Amanda need to actually go there and host some conferences or meetings and actually get ppl to listen. Ppl in Alabama need to be talked directly to on a level they understand. I moved 10 years ago, but when I go home to visit my momma and family I am instantly put back into that world. Political topics are ignored for the most part unless it’s a big topic on social media and because of the LIFESTYLE separation between black and white ppl, politics was just never a topic that came up, but not just politics. I truly did not know what an avocado was until about 2013 when my mom got a job at a fancy hotel and made some white friends. The majority of the ppl who are still in Alabama are the ppl who don’t care and don’t know why they should care. It needs to be talked about on a level they understand and coming from a person they like. Unfortunately the ppl who have been able to get out of that Alabama fog have left Alabama and are living in Texas, California, Georgia, Seattle etc so unfortunately there is not a lot of ppl who understand left there to vote. I see everyday so many women make ignorant comments towards the gay community and in turn since the women ain’t supporting the gay community , the gay community doesn’t feel women’s rights are important and so they are stuck in this “I don’t care” mindset and it’s becoming dangerous. I am not innocent. I very much ignored it myself too until I moved away for an internship and saw what the world was actually like outside of my all black neighborhood and school. It’s a very deep conversation that needs to be had there and truthfully the conversation needs to be had on like a kindergarten level. It’s just not something we are familiar with. Even with watching the videos. I still find myself struggling to even know what all of these terms mean and it causes for lack of comprehension which leads to lack of caring. It’s almost not even the lack of caring, but leaning towards ignorance and literally just not knowing at all what politics even is outside of the president. And not to mention being black and speaking up in Alabama can get you attacked from both sides. Alabama needs help understanding they matter because going your entire life feeling like you don’t is why so many ppl there don’t care.
